Creepy, tacky public ultrasound aside, why is she even having a shower for this one?  Isn’t this her 3rd kid???  And it’s not like the baby daddy’s family can attend or anything.  So it is strictly about Victoria and her family / friends.  Talk about TACKY!

Having just read the first several paragraphs of that article, that is SO a cult. Sleep deprivation, controlling when someone can use the toilet, rules about when one can eat or drink or do anything--wow.  Poor Leah.

It costs money, and I doubt that too many of her fans are willing to travel to L.A. for the "training."  From the linked article (I'm sure this is only the beginning, though):

"The woman interviewing me explained how the Basic Training ($700) was only step one in a three-part program, and I'd really need to sign up for their Advanced Training ($1,195) and Legacy Program ($1,595) to see the full results."

Right, most people that idolize Leah don't live in a tax bracket that would make participation for them possible.

Sadly, I bet these idiot fans will beg, borrow or steal in order to attend.  They are probably calling up family members right now, asking the (probably broke) parents, cousins, grandparents, etc. to loan them money in order to invest in their future.

The more I think about it, actually, I am getting angry.  Fuck Leah for trying to sell this CRAP to people who cannot afford it.  She could do this quietly, but of course she probably gets a cut of the profits if she recruits others.  And her fan base is (I am guessing) young mothers who are not well-off.

Wow. This is what happens when you just hand fools money! Leah has NO idea of the value of a dollar! She is too dense to learn anything, as you'd think EVEN her stint as a McDonald's employee as a teen would have taught her something.

It actually makes me angry, because she has a terminally ill child to care for. "Sorry, Ali! You can't have this treatment because I joined a cult 20 years ago."

Yeah, I don't think any of the girls' books have sold that well. Maybe Farrah's or Amber's did a little better because people were hoping for some war stories on the porn industry or prison, respectively, but generally, no one is that interested in reading the random musings and heavily edited recollections of these girls when they post their thoughts already on social media all day and act like idiots on TV.

I think I’ve read them all... 😬 and they all basically sucked. Leah will probably suck the most.

Someone call Leah and Mike!

What a complete idiot she is, this Leah (not Leah R).  She just cannot stand on her own two feet and woman up.  She always has to have some sort of crutch.  Pills, men, her mom (monkey).

No, she never developed coping skills and has no interest in starting now. She'd rather throw money at things- Mary Kay, motivational speaking training, a few classes at the local university, and now this- with the goal of "finding herself".

She will fail at all of it because she has NO life skills- no work ethic, no ambition, no critical thinking, no solid convictions, hell, not even much of a personality when it comes down to it. She's both lazy and unintelligent, as well as super easily intimidated and overwhelmed, and that's a very bad combination.

When the TM2 money goes, and she continues to age, she's in for such a hard time.

It cracks me up to think of her, with clown makeup on, yelling at Jeremy, "I want a careeeeeer!!! Why are your dreams the only ones that are important? Why aren't my dreams important?!" So important, Leah, that you've been involved in at least two or three other MLM's in the handful of years since then. Someone who was really passionate about their "dream" wouldn't give up so easily!

I disagree that she is unintelligent, I can tell when she speaks and that way she articulates her clear understanding of Ali’s health issues that she is smart in that she is capable of comprehending complex issues. Not everybody is.
But I agree 100% that she is lazy as fuck, with no ambition or ability to follow-through. She is also very quick to criticize the men in her life, but becomes very defensive about any complaints they have about her, even though the complaints often seem valid (like the things Jeremy didn’t like about her - very messy, needy, disorganized, over-spending, etc). I can totally see why Jeremy divorced her -  works his ass off for a week, then comes home to a super messy house, super messy car and a wife that does nothing but bitch about him not spending enough time with her or her girls. Why would he want to? After a week of hard work, who wants to come home to that kind of stressful environment? I sure wouldn’t. Then, to top it off, you look at the credit card bills and see much of the money you’ve spent all week working for has been spent. And then you can’t even address the problem with her, because she gets defensive and makes excuses. It’s no wonder he eventually started to see her as a burden and someone he felt he was better off without! Who wouldn’t, in that situation?
I think she’s one of those people that always has all these grand ideas - Mary Kay makeup, moving to a house that’s disability-friendly, being a motivational speaker, moving to another house and another and another and now this self-help bullshit. It’s always something. She’s very ungrounded. She loves to talk and dream up all these grand ideas on paper, but lacks the follow-through and ambition to actually get any of it off the ground if it takes anything more than throwing money at the problem. She lacks the work ethic and grit to actually execute any of her grand ideas. She’s smart but lazy, which is a much worse combination than stupid but hard-working, tbh.
I also think her family contributes to the problem because they never acknowledge her flaws, they act like she’s perfect and all the men she’s with are wrong. I think it’s probably because they, themselves, lack a work ethic and don’t particularly value organization or hard work, either, so they see nothing wrong with how she is. The endless cycle of white trash drama, messiness and laziness and sitting around talking about problems, then trying to cure it with whatever feels good in the moment (money, sex, cigarettes, alcohol, etc) is normal to them. That’s how she grew up. So it never even occurred to her that other people may find problems with that and to her, it comes across like they are being too harsh on her for things that are petty. She never bothers to examine WHY these men leave her because she dismisses their needs, it’s all about her own needs and what makes her feel good. And she doesn’t realize they’re fed up until it’s far too late.

Ehh I don't know if I would call Leah smart just because she understands Ali's health issues, and can talk about them. I mean who wouldn't with that situation? She's known about it for most of Ali's life. She's had plenty of time to learn about that. And she still tells her that she can do anything, and puts her in sports, and other physical activities. I mean it is nice that she tells Ali that she can do anything because she is a kid that needs encouragement. But the reality is that she can't. Unfortunately she's only going to get worse, not better. Sorry I'm going in another direction lol. That's not to say she isn't smart in other ways, but she just hasn't shown much intelligence through the years.

I would not call Leah smart at all. I would say of the 4 TM2 girls, Kail is above average in intelligence, Jenelle is of average intelligence, and Leah and Chelsea are below average in terms of intelligence.

And I am not confusing ignorance with intelligence- all these girls are ignorant as fuck with no intention of becoming informed. I just mean in general, how their thought process works, their ability to understand, to adapt, etc.

Eh, not to nitpick, but intelligent people can be susceptible to cults.  I remember watching a lot of former Jonestown members being interviewed for a documentary back in the day, and they all came across as sharp and capable people.  Cult leaders hit on emotional vulnerability, and a longing to fit in.

Not that I think Leah is a MENSA member, or anything, but you know, sake of argument.  😛

I agree with you about Jeremy's divorce being justified. I'm tired of hearing that he should have helped her more, because she's not his maid, and he should have given her more chances, etc. Her Facebook fanatics must all be super lazy housewives themselves, who see nothing wrong with demanding their husbands also do most of the housework! In the real world, being married to Leah sounds horrible, as she adds nothing, and lets her flaws and bad habits take over. Plenty of good, decent, hardworking women get left every day, many of them destitute. I hardly think Jeremy leaving Leah is the sob story of the decade!

Those holler schools really aren't well, are they?

I'm a little hung up on the "If there's anything I may do to enhance your stay.." bit. Does that mean there's stuff they CAN do, but aren't allowed to? A sign of poor grammar, or too many rules?

I get where you are coming from, but if Kail was actually sincere and her motive was altruistic she would talk to her “BFF” privately about her concerns.  Not publish her opinions for money.

Kail isn’t one to spout opinions on cults, she is a sheeple herself with this anti vaxx bullshit.

But yah, I guess for Kail this is as close to “feelings,” we will ever see lol.

I’ve never seen Corey articulate his understanding of the disease, or even show that he understands why certain things are done the way they are with her disease. And I don’t mean “understanding” as in, able to accept it. I mean understanding the complexity of it, the sub types, why certain tests are done and the results of them and what it means, etc. She shows an understanding of the minutiae (details) on a level that most people (including Corey) don’t. She is not only able to understand what’s happening, but WHY, she understands what Ali’s body is doing differently.

She was also capable of understanding and articulating things like this even before she had the twins, as I recall from her 16 & Pregnant episode.

Leah has always understood Ali’s limits. I think she tells Ali what she tells her so as not to discourage Ali from pursuing the things she CAN do. Corey’s the one who didn’t understand Ali’s limits for the longest time.

So true! I don’t get why Kail did that, to be honest. I don’t like what I’ve read about MITT, but if my friend was into it and recruiting ppl, I wouldn’t try to dissuade potential recruits because I ultimately owe more loyalty to my friend than someone rando I don’t know. It’s their responsibility to do their research, not mine. It makes me wonder if Kail has some other hidden agenda or motive we don’t know about. Or maybe she just felt for this mom because she was young and had limited means, who knows.

You don’t have to be his maid to clean up the house and car once in a while! Jesus. Or hire someone else to do it if need be, it’s not like she doesn’t have the means!
If you want your man home more and feel like he’s avoiding it, then take the steps to make him enjoy it more when he’s there, so he’ll stop avoiding it! Duh! Guilt-tripping him about it, while doing nothing to make the home environment more pleasant, is only going to make him avoid it more. It seems like she lacks the ability to empathize with the needs of any guy she’s with. It’s all about her own needs.

Leah is a moron lol. She doesn’t understand Ali’s condition she repeats what she hears and still lets Ali do whatever. Corey is an idiot too. They all are a bunch of backwards hillbillies honestly. Leah is one of those pathetic women who lives off her child support. Only difference is she has teen mom money but if she didn’t she would be living off Corey and Jeremy or some new guy.

I think it was the potential recruit, Rachel, who sold the screenshots of the texts to RadarOnline, not Kail.
But I don’t get Kail, does she just not see how she’s being a shitty friend to Leah by doing that? Let’s be clear, btw, I don’t like what I’ve read about MITT, I find it disturbing and frankly, I think it’s a scam to make money, but I wouldn’t try to prevent my friend from making money off bringing in recruits (fucking with her livelihood) just because I don’t agree with the organization she’s representing, bc I’d see it as not my place. Her loyalty should be more towards her friend (Leah), not some rando who doesn’t have the common sense to do her own research before signing on.
honestly, maybe I’m cold-hearted, but I have little sympathy for people who fall for things like this. If you don’t have the common sense to realize paying thousands of dollars for a program that promises to change your life, but is vague about the specifics, then I guess you’re gonna have to learn the hard way. Tough shit. Use your common sense next time! Or maybe some people do genuinely find it helpful, who knows, I guess they do,  anyway, because many stick with it, but I know I personally wouldn’t find it helpful. It sounds stupid to me. But I guess it all depends on the individual. Idk.

It does, doesn’t it? And I’m sure being a star on a TV show doesn’t help and only furthers this narcissistic, self-centered view of the world.
Leah is that way beyond what most of the Teen Moms, though, in that she’s unable to figure out how to meet their needs even when they start pulling away. (By “they,” I mean whatever boyfriend/husband she’s with). It’s like it never even occurs to her that their needs are valid, too, all she does it complain about what they don’t do for her.
to be clear, I do think Jeremy AND Leah were both stupid in that they married way too quickly, before they really got to know each other and then, they had a kid together. They didn’t take the time to see whether or not they were compatible, long-term. So, that’s where Jeremy fucked up, he committed to something before he realized what he was getting into. But I can’t blame him one bit for wanting out and for getting out. I just hope he learned a lesson from that, about getting to know someone better before committing to spending the rest of his life with her after only knowing her a few months. But as far as the divorce goes, nope, I can’t blame him one bit. I don’t even think he was that quick to run. It seems like he tried talking to Leah about problems he had with her, but Leah didn’t wanna hear it, she dismissed his needs...and then wonders why he began to pull away.

I don’t think Leah understands practical needs. By PRACTICAL, I mean day-to-day, regular needs, like cleanliness, organization, getting the kids to school on time, having food and drinks in the fridge, just day to day maintainence that some people may seem trivial, but if it gets bad enough, it’s not. And with Leah, it was bad enough, at least it was at one point, I’m not entirely sure what it’s like now, because her scenes don’t really focus on that anymore. I hope it’s improved, though. If Leah ever wants to find a forever-husband and be that stay at home mom she’s always dreamed of being, she’s gotta work on her domestic skills! If you want that traditional type of marriage, you gotta do your part and play the traditional role, right?

@SheTalksShit I don’t think Leah wants a “traditional SAHM life” I think she’s just lazy as fuck who happened to get pregnant and marry young. She’s got a typical maternal love for her kids, and pulled a short straw with Ali’s health problems but she’s still so emotionally immature in a lot of ways.

Chelsea (who I think has a better personality than Leah and is only slightly more intelligent- just slightly), can be needy, but she was a far better SAHM than Leah was because she grew up in a stable environment and knew domestic duties had to get done. She may not be the BEST housekeeper or cook ever, but she complete those tasks, volunteer to be room parent, help the kids with homework etc because she would appreciate having a husband who was devoted to the family and was a good breadwinner.

A part of Leah still thinks people should show up and do things for her because she’s her. Like Jeremy should want to be with her because they hooked up a few times. I think if she matured emotionally a bit she could land an older guy with a stable job (not senior citizen but older than her) with maybe teenage kids who wanted a younger wife as a companion. But shes a horrible companion/future caregiver at this point because she’s so selfish.

What's the problem with Leah and her mother.   Seems they used to be really close.  Not any more.

You bring up a great point.  If I had to guess it has to do with the pills.  I honestly always thought Dawn was partaking, too.  Maybe not to addict level, but dependent level.  This is based on nothing other than my own opinion.

My other theory goes back to the revelation that Leah’s never seen bio dad was supposedly living in her basement for a season.

Either way, something totally did happen since the MONKEY days.
