Christian and Cleen battle then the artists take on galaxy tattoos.

Why is everyone bashing Chris? I was happy he won tattoo of the day, just to shut everyone up.

Also, why is Amanda gunning for Austin? Tony said he wanted to go after Tim, which is a good strategic move since he's one of the better artists on the team, and she goes after Austin who will go in the bottom regardless. I almost wish Cleen saved Austin instead of Tiffer just so someone from Team Christian went home.

I do feel bad for Austin. He came in full of arrogant confidence and then let the stress get to him where he doubted everything he did.

God, I would not want to be on Team Christian.  He's fine when he's winning but when he's not, he turns on his own team.  At least Cleen doesn't appear to do that. 

I've said this before and I'll say it again - - I really wish during the judging it was only the judges that were permitted to talk.  Letting the other inktestants get their digs in is really unnecessary. 

I thought Angel should have been in the bottom 3.  Really unattractive tattoo and like the judges (the real ones) said, looked like 3 different tattoos.  But since the rules are fluid, she gets a pass.  

I thought it was weird, in a way, that Cleen chose his best artists to save.  Tiffer likely would have been fine; seems like maybe you'd want to give a free pass to those who were struggling.  

I don't understand the animosity toward Chris either, @CheezyXpressed - - and from his own team!  I can't remember the names right now but the artist who did the continent of Africa with the woman - - that was beautiful and should have been the best tattoo IMO.

All the canvas' requests sounded like complete shit shows when they were describing them, but the tattoos turned out surprisingly decent.

I enjoy it when Nunez gets shut down during judging. Like suddenly he believes in following the rules?

If Chris really needed to spout  out his "I told you so" wrt doing a realistic color tattoo in an hour, he should have done it outside the judges' hearing. And both strawberries turned out fine anyway; certainly nothing the canvases would be embarrassed to wear

Agreed. I wouldn't risk Tiffer though. If I were Cleen I would have protected Turk, Austin, and Tiffer. Turk and Austin because there's a high chance they'd find the bottom if they tattooed and Tiffer because he's the golden goose of the team. Tony is Cleen's 2nd best player but like you said he's probably good enough to save himself. If Cleen had done that, there's a real chance that Angel (who actually has somewhat of a chance to make the final) would have gone home, thus severely weakening Christian. 

 

Tiffer, Tony, Amanda finale? Probably what I'm leaning towards

Am I the only one that thought Austin's panther had two differently shaped ears and it's face looked as though it had run into a parked car? I'd wear the wolf over that any day.

Teej did the Africa tattoo.  Funny how he did a great face but was let down by his galaxy, but Chris did a great tattoo with a bad galaxy which was ok because it was in the same style.

 

I was surprised that Austin went home as I thought they might even up the teams, but Austin was long overdue to go home.

I feel like even if he did that, he'd still get hated on after. His team just doesn't like him.

The Africa tattoo was amazing considering the absolute shitshow it sounded like from the canvas. Well done, hell of a portrait in a limited amount of time, and not even on "portrait day".

it was a gorgeous portrait. And a rare example of when someone in the middle of the pack actually does a great job at what they claim to be good at.
