I always think the series would have been better if they'd have had a regular SDPD detective throughout the series (same with Desperate Housewives).

Damn, I actually find Paige attractive as Veruca, but some of those pictures are…not so much.  It appears she's been sampling the product at that Absolut Vodka event.  Easy there, waking up naked in the woods isn't usually as much fun as Wild at Heart makes it out to be…

Or maybe it's just a plastic surgery?

I heard that Seth Green felt extremely uncomfortable while shooting those "nude" scenes in WAH because of Paige's boyfriend hanging around on set.

She needs to consider a lawsuit, then.  Plastic surgery is supposed to make you look more vital, not like 10 miles of hard road.

(Yes, I'm shallow.  But still.)

Wait, so Jean Speegle Howard was playing "the real" Natalie French, who was described as being "born in 1907, she's like 90 years old!", she was actually born in 1927 and (as of the 1996 filming) wasn't even 70 years young?  Yeeesh.

I mean, I know Estelle Getty was actually the youngest of the Golden Girls, but that was makeup.  Jean just aged quickly, it appears.

Given that Mr. Winters is legally named "Timothy", I guess "Time" must be pronounced "Tim-E" rather than "Time, like the clock."  Did not know that.

And go, Doctor Overwhosis, for outwitting two annoying blond/e vampires with a single penny.  Granted, Sparmony may not exactly represent Undead Americans at their finest, but still…that was some cool thinking under pressure.

Never realised the guy from Taggart/Split Second was in Buffy but then he calls himself Neil Duncan when he appears in the UK (maybe there's another actor called Neil Duncan in the US?)

No, apparently sometimes people just use different names in different markets.  I'd guess that Duncan didn't want to be confused with Star Trek: Voyager's Robert Duncan McNeill when he started this side of the pond.  (Likewise, ASH is simply "Anthony Head" in the UK, but over here his agents probably noticed Anthony Heald [who was at his career peak in the early '90s, just when Tony was trying to move on from the coffee ads and break into this market] and used that "Stewart" in the middle to differentiate the two of them.)

Interesting fact about "Collins": he was married to Breaking Bad star Anna Gunn for 20 years (1990-2009).

"Sarah Harris" in S.06E.16 Hell's Bells.

Did not remember that was the name of Xanya's Fake!Future!daughter.  Shout-out to SMG, I'd assume.  (Xander's so obsessed with Buffy he even knows who plays her in the "we're only a TV show" dimension.  [There's got to be a name for this trope…it was in fanfic long before Galaxy Quest brought it to the big screen…but I don't know it.] One more reason for Anya to be the Bitter Betty she so is, I guess.)

That's  "Neuhaus".

In terms of age-inappropriate casting, Ingo isn't the worst offender, but I suppose he merits a mention:  when he played Daryl, who "would have been 19 next week", Ingo was 27 and had recently played a police detective in L.A. Confidential.  (He plays Kevin Spacey's partner, before Spacey goes off to investigate on his own.)  Bit of a distance from a high-school jock, I'm just saying.

Ingo had also previously served as a U.S. Army Ranger, which again puts his life experience far beyond Daryl's.  (The script was written before Ingo was cast, of course, so the irony of a Ranger playing a character who died while rock-climbing is purely unintentional, but still noteworthy.)  He's from a military family; his dad, Major James Neuhaus, served in Viet Nam before becoming a successful rancher, which presumably accounts for Ingo's being born in Germany (Dad must have been stationed there at one time), rather than the family's Teutonic heritage, as one might guess just from his name.

Congrats on reaching the big 5-0, "Number 5"!

I wonder if Don's decided on a motto yet?  (I'm Team "Live in the Now", personally.)

I met Garson while waiting in line for a semi-VIP preview screening of Armageddon back in '99.  The actor buddy who'd invited me along actually knew Willie, and they talked for a minute or three.  Not really a crucial moment in my life, but nice enough to meet.

Garson was recently in what turned out to be the series finale of Salvation (he played a scientist alone at the South Pole), which means the links for that series' stars (Santiago Cabrera was in Heroes with Leonard Roberts, Jennifer Finnigan starred in Close to Home with Christian Kane, Ian Anthony Dale was in at least one of Charisma's episodes of Charmed) can all go through Willie, instead.  It's a lot of responsibility, but then, he doesn't have those sexy nostrils for nothing, am I right?
