That's not exactly accurate though.  Josh and Anna have been married 10 years and Jill and Derick (the second longest marriage) have been married 4 years as have Jessa and Ben. Josh and Anna have a baby every other year unlike his parents who had a baby every year. When Josh and Anna had been married 4 years, they also had 2 kids. Let's see how many kids Kendra and Joe when they've been married 4 years.

Once JB& Michelle started having kids (the data ignores the first four years), they had a baby approximately every 19months, AND you have to remember Michelle had TWO sets of twins which alters the numbers.

Duggar Data on tumblr actually does a really good job with the math, regarding estimated remaining length of fertility (for the women), age, space between each child etc. Now Josh and Anna are the only couple to have more than two children, a few more couples need to have 3-4 live births to see who is likely to catch up with Michelle. His money is on Joy-Anna given her age and the fact that she had a honeymoon baby.

I actually took more note of the fact that Ben and Jeremy were next to each other with the girls on their opposite sides, rather than vice versa, but if Jing is exclusively breastfeeding she may have wanted the aisle to slip out easily if Felicity started wailing. Sounds like Spurge/Henry were the ones who didn’t make it through the ceremony, but they’re also old enough to have gotten rowdy or chatty and effectively shushed until they were out, as opposed to an infant’s no-negotiations fussing/wailing. *shrugs*

I hate myself for watching, but JD really surprised me with the kiss at the end-good for him for having a sense of humor that wasn't corny as hell. But how did he exactly surprise the family with the "girlfriend" announcement? Nobody noticed he was gone for "dates"? Did they use Abbie's family for chaperones? I need to know this stuff.

Those definitely look like stone cold, ugly ass, cheap Duggar-issue sandals. 

Jing had the red & multi-color floral spike heels.....Tres Chic.  Even if we aren't sure if she wore them for the whole ceremony, or just the photo op, she still wins the shoe show. 

But I think Abbie's dress was top 3 out of 7 so far.

I'm probably going to be in the minority here, but I thought JD and Abbie together, looked so much more loving and comfortable with one another, than any of the D weddings thus far.  

Abbie's dress was very becoming, although it did appear too long, as another poster pointed out.  It will be a huge plus if they wait a bit before the first blessing.  They aren't that old, in the real world.  Have some fun, you two!

They had only been talking for two weeks before they  made it official. I'm not sure how much time they had actually spent together, though, since she was in Oklahoma during most of that time, and I don't know where he was supposed to be after their first meeting. Plus, he  seems to have actual things to do everyday so the family's used to not being home.

I don't think she needed heels, but shoes that looked newer and shinier.  Those look like she had them for a while.

On the hand, I'm glad she's wearing shoes at all. I know from Chelsy Maxwell that there's some spiritual reason for going barefoot and that's fine, but I prefer shoes for the bride especially if the groom is wearing shoes.

Why minority? I think this is largely attributable to their maturity and personalities. There is really something to be said for waiting until you've experienced life a little bit before marrying, even if means you must also wait to hold hands and kiss and have sex because you are also following their ridiculous courtship model.

Regarding her shoes, as a nurse, maybe she's just used to putting comfort before fashion? 😛

I'm guessing that had more to do with finances when Josh was young. He was sent to a makeshift freebie Alert-like punishment. By the time others needed 'straightening up' JB had the TLC money rolling in on a steady basis. For Josh's adult indiscretions he was sent to the adult version of Alert when he attended Reformers Unanimous.

After watching the wedding episode online....

Lauren & Josiah’s singing was unnecessary.  At one point the camera went to Austin and his face said what I was thinking, “Why is this happening?” Like Abbie didn’t have 1 person who could actually sing this song?  

The chairs at the church were ugly. 

Abbies parents seemed normal (YAY)

I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Jana when she was repeating back everything people said about JD being so old and not marrying.

They seem legit happy.  I do NOT believe they’ve never kissed.

Exactly! I will try to be nice and give her the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe the dress was a bit too long and there was a scramble to find a higher pair of shoes at the last minute, and these were the only ones available?

I agree. The church was really nothing special.

Abbie looked beautiful. Her dress was beautiful and flattering, and it was completely incongruous with the folding chairs and orange indoor/outdoor carpet of the church. It's no big deal, but it was noticeable and jarring to me.

I don't either. JD certainly didn't look like a fumbling schoolboy when he was kissing half her upper body in front of six hundred people. Pickles also noted they stayed at the reception for four hours, which again doesn't jive with two late 20-somethings dying for physical contact. 

I know they'll probably follow the typical Fundie pattern of Abbie quitting work and getting pregnant quickly, but I like her from what I've seen thus far.

Maybe she had a pair of cute appropriately bridal shoes she wore for the ceremony and, when her feet inevitably began to hurt, she changed into a pair of tried and true comfortable shoes never thinking that they'd be taking a photo where her shoes would be seen?

I've never been a bride, but I've been a bridesmaid several times.  Every time, I wore my fancy shoes to church and, by the time the reception was in high gear, was wearing a pair of older, comfortable shoes or sandals.

Yes, you're right about that.  And he did do manual labor to atone for the porn stuff.  But they did send him away as well.  My take is that the church wanted more done after the guy's daughter told about Josh.  JimBoob probably felt that a stay at Alert would appease them.  Even so, that's why Boob ended up doing "home church" instead of going back to their old church.  The family was embarrassed and we've seen how they insist that everything is just okey-dokey now that Josh confessed so they couldn't deal with him being ostracized within the old church.

Sorry.  I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes over this.  I thought I remembered hearing this and reading about it some time ago.  I just checked on Wikipedia (and sometimes they have errors) and this is what they have:

I think that the timeline for all of this is fuzzy because 1. It was right before the show started, 2. It doesn't show them in a good light, and 3. They're liars.

I think the "sin in the camp" thing came after the molestation. If I recall correctly, Josh was sent to Little Rock to receive "counseling" and work on the IBLP building, and then returned home. Soon afterward, he was "betrothed" to the daughter of the candidate with the expectation that that would somehow keep him out of trouble. He spent a lot of time in the campaign office and was tattled on for viewing porn on the computers (the "sin in camp"). After that, the "betrothal" was called off, the families parted company, and JB started the home church.

It's interesting, but nor surprising, that the two scandals that are the least interesting to me: a teenage boy looking at internet porn, and an adult man cruising a dating web site caused the greatest garment rending within his circle, while the molestation of five little girls was "no big deal" and "we were sleeping" and "it was over the clothes."

The Duggars have listed the sons who have gone to ALERT down to the Sinner Twin. Smuggar has never been mentioned. The facility Little Rock where he did manual labor is NOT related to ALERT. 

Bottom line: Smuggar never spent time at Big Sandy's paramilitary camp.

My cousin's wife purposely had her seamstress sew something in the lining to tuck up the hem so that she could wear flip flops at the reception. The only reason I knew is because I was in the middle of talking to my cousin and she made him go out and get the flip flops from the car as one of the bridesmaids was underneath the gown on her back, pinning up the hem. I wouldn't have known otherwise.

If this was a guest pic DMed to Jabbie, I could see her being in the sandals because it was spontaneous. She may well have had more formal heels for formal pics (think JinJer 's pic with her pink heels).

Count me in the comfy shoe camp when it came to my wedding day.  I am definitely not averse to sacrificing comfort for looks, but..... I wanted to enjoy my wedding experience as fully as possible, and for me, that meant not having my mind occupied with hurting feet, or the possibility thereof.  (Below is a pic of my wedding flip flops that I wore the for the entirety of my wedding and reception).  ;-)  ETA:  Except for a few "fun" pics like this one where I was purposely showing them, the flip flops were not visible in any of my other wedding pics....just for the record, lol.

I wore a low heeled slip on. They were new but I made sure they fit comfortably when I bought them & still remember walking around the house breaking them in. 

My friend made herself a bedazzled pair of tennis shoes to wear at her reception.
