In my experience it's pretty common for groups like ActBlue to set up an instant donation in some number that represents something--like give $38 to Candidate X, running in the 38th Congressional District, or $16 in the 2016 election.  It's a smallish number, you don't have to think about the amount, and it has some symbolic meaning.  You just click on that button and your donation's done.  They'll always accept more, but apparently Carole wasn't inclined to give more that day.

Carole’s whole issue boils down to poor self esteem, IMO.  By exposing Adam as a user, it undermined her self worth. She had spent the previous seasons showboating around this relationship and how she was super attractive to a way younger guy. She started off this season by rewriting their breakup as them frequently hooking up. Once B came out with the “Adam is a user” story, it changed the whole history of Carole and Adam’s relationship.  Now her whole relationship with him was a lie. She was no longer super attractive to him. Now it was just merely what opportunities she (and the show) could provide to him that were attractive. She couldn’t deal with that so she attacked.

I haven’t watched any of OC this season.  I just couldn’t take Vicki any longer. She turned me off with the whole fake cancer storyline. My FIL has non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and has been dealing with it for 15 years.  So, go screw her. 

By exposing Adam as a user, Carole's narrative of their romance was exposed for the lie it was/is.

This! This all day long!! Carole is obsessed with Adam. Period. So Carole got pissed because Beth exposed Adam.  Everyone’s trying to figure out what started their feud  because there was no big fight about one thing in particular.  Carole is one of those women that is so desperate to keep her man or try to get back with her man in this case, that she defends him no matter what. Even if that means defending questionable actions about being compensated for a CHARITY.  I also agree with everyone saying Adam being exposed as an operator is also exposing Carole and Adam’s “relationship” for what it was...an opportunity for him.  

I’m just happy that Carole is gone, it was rough having to look at that face every week.

You are sooo right about “What Remains”.  I couldn’t put my finger on it.  A lot of words in the book, but not much information and not at all what I expected.  Too much about her childhood (boring), built up her job at ABC, nothing about her love affair with Anthony, IMO, very little about the wedding, lots of mentions about hospitalizations, and loads of hanging out with Carolyn Bissette.  It was like she was trying to prove her closeness with Carolyn.  My opinion, anyhow.

Yup.  Maybe all the shows are staged, especially N.Y. And O.C.  Without the drama, what would we be watching?  Rich women having drinks or coffee or going shopping?  I don’t know any women who act this way in real life.  The only thing believable are the divorces.  If a cast member doesn’t put out the drama, she’s out.  As soon as Theresa flipped that table, drama was King and Andy and Bravo loved it.

The marathon and Carole’s participation was never about the marathon itself or the charity she was raising money for – it was about Carole. Carole wanted the spotlight. Carole wanted to be known for completing it. It was about showing Instagram pics of herself.

I showed the footage to the friends I have that compete. That was a 25 minute mile at the start. No way did Carole average a 15 minute mile without the “help” of several bib mules. She finished with a late time because she didn’t want to be caught. I hope someone Megan King Edmonds her ass.

There’s a reason Carole will never run another marathon – she doesn’t want to get caught cheating.

My thoughts on Carole as of today:

I liked her at first when she came onto the show but then situations with her made me question her actions and character.

It appears that she put her thoughts about her (2) books into a voice recorder and then let a "ghost writer" get it onto paper and can not meet any true deadlines. (You are not Carrie Bradshaw you dumb doldt and this is not Sex in the City)

She appears slow and lackadaisical and puts the least amount or effort towards endeavors. Good grief I wonder how long it takes her to get out of bed in the morning and get a move on for the day.

She is a copy cat about fashion and digs into the way back files, sorry girl you are no Talitha Getty.
