RS has just posted in his column today that there will be 30 contestants, neither are single moms or divorcees. Heather claims she is the virgin of the season and that will be likely to make it as F1.

RS has posted on his blog that eight more women will compete in this season.

You've already known Elyse from the spoiled one-on-one date a couple of weeks ago. The other seven ladies have shown as follows:

• Caitlin, a 26-year-old real estate agent from Toronto that she is already eliminated
• Catherine, a blonde 26-year-old realtor from Miami
• Tahzjuan, a black woman is from Colorado who works for Lyft
• Courtney, another black woman from Atlanta who is a food blogger
• Bri, a blonde model from Los Angeles who has a mixture of OG Lauren B and Maquel
• Laura, a 26-year-old brunette works as an accountant and hails from Dallas
• Devin, a normal 24-year-old from Georgia who works as a journalist

In other developments, the next locations for this season will be Thailand and Macau, week 7 location will be in Denver, Colorado.

I did not see the one with giant turquoise rings, but the red jumpsuit must be addressed. FUPA.  Even skinnish girls have them.

The one named Devin will be booted early.  She looks too normal.

Look at the guy with the girl in the red jumpsuit--understandable that you might overlook him given the mess that is the red jumpsuit, but it's worth it:  a hipster with a pubic-hair beard in a suit without a tie and a turquoise ring on his index finger.  But don't overlook the belt buckle, off to the side, and the hair on his forehead--is that the pompadour falling down, or is that his hairline?

And bonus content--another pompadour behind him, talking into his watch.   And nothing classes up any look like a paper wristband.

I agree about the wrinkled bottoms of her jumpsuit--how did that happen?  I thought maybe from demurely crossing her legs at the ankles, but that scenario doesn't seem to fit for some reason.

My theory is her feet were hurting from her high heel shoes, so she temporarily took them off and rolled up the pant legs so they wouldn't touch the ground. Later she put the shoes back on and unrolled the - now wrinkled - pant legs.

Reality Steve has spoiled the final four:

• Caelynn, a now-former Miss North Carolina, finished runner-up in this year's Miss USA
• Cassie, a blonde from LA
• Hannah G, a brunette from Alabama

The fourth girl revealed by Steve earlier this week is Tayshia, a 28-year-old divorcee from California who is black where she is spotted in the Denver 1-on-1 date.

In the filming order, Hannah G's hometown segment will film first in Alabama, will follow by Caelynn in Virginia, then to Cassie and Tayshia, are in California, respectively (3rd and 4th). Rose ceremony will be likely in Denver.

They're all very attractive, in a bland, vanilla way.  Probably very nice too.  But probably just as boring as Colton....  Surprising that Heather the virgin didn't make the final 4.

Crazy Days and Nights (site known for its "blind" items) posted this "reveal" today.

For those not choosing to click the link, it basically says that the women on this season of TB were told they would not have to marry the bachelor. They are basically competing for the role of the next Bachelorette. It also says, and I quote, "Even the producers know what is up with the star."

<sarcasm> Hmm, wonder what that could be. </sarcasm>   

Take it for what it's worth. CDAN blind items are not always right. 

You know how (per Reality Steve) Production always asks the Lead very early on "Who would be your top picks?" and then they kind of plan the dates from there?

I predicted on one of RS's blog posts that when asked, Colton would reply "Who are the ones with the most Social Media followers? Those are my top picks."  I was being kind of snarky, but I believe I hit that nail on the head. He picked the ones who can do his own fame and career and/or charity the most good. (I think there is one out of the 4 that may be a favor to Production rather than someone who can boost Underwood's career. But maybe I'm wrong about that.)  

I just cannot manufacture any respect for this dude, despite that he's probably not a horrible person and he does have what looks like a worthwhile charity he wants to publicize.

RS has just posted the blog today that he has released the last five girls, as they include Tayshia.

The other three out of four identified girls:

• Alex D, a normal brunette (age unknown) from Boston who gets eliminated in night one
• Angelique, a 28-year-old black girl from New Jersey who works as sales assistant
• Kirpa, an Indian girl hails from Whittier who works as dental hygienist

Anyway, the last lady remains unknown that has sent home in night one

Steve has a pretty extensive update on his blog today.  

Caelynn went out after hometowns.  Didn't even bother to hide herself on Instagram at first.  Wants desperately to be the Bachelorette. 

 

And Cassie is the favorite to be the "winner" and Tayshia is the one that didn't bother to tell the guy she was dating that she was going on the show to the last minute.  Told him it was for her career.  Sounds like the ex is talking to ole Steve!

Fantasy dates are in Portugal so that should be nice travel porn.

Also, if in fact Caelynn went on the show knowing she might not be around to perform the traditional duties of crowning the next Miss NC--and RS says that from what he hears, that seems to be the case--well aren't we just a smart little opportunist?  What's wrong with dumping the pageant world (and the exposure you got from it) when it's outlived its usefulness and there's a bigger and better opportunity on the horizon? Who cares if pageant organizers had expectations? You have a career and a brand to grow and nurture, right? Instagram and other Bachelor-related money to be made? Possibly a well-paid stint as the Bachelorette? Obligations, shmobligations. 

I wonder if Caelynn waited until the last minute to tell her pageant contacts/advisors that she was going on the show. Kind of how RS is alleging that Tayshia let her boyfriend know.

Sounds like a sterling cast of characters this season. 

As always, just my opinions, based on RS's reporting and the few facts we actually have.

I do agree with you that Caelynn will be the next Bachelorette, Tayshia will finish in third that she has no shot for the next Bach'ette. I also agreed Cassie will be the winner as the likely F1. She and her sister will be having connections with celebrities.

Last week, I got banned at Bachelor Reddit due to posting insincere comments such as racism, sexism and slurs that which I made my eventual deletion through my Reddit account.

What a strange thing to say. Mallorca is a beautiful island with gorgeous mountains and seashores and flowers and trees and great restaurants and lovely old buildings. The beauty of the island and the warmth of the people is what draws floods of tourists. I'd go back in a hot minute. I'm sure the producers found loads of lovely spots for them to film.

  "There is stuff coming when I post the episode-by-episode spoilers that I don’t think you’ll expect. It’s probably one of the bigger stories this franchise has had to be honest. Going to be a major thing talked about pretty much most of the season once it’s shown on the show. Just be patient. It’s coming. I think you’d rather have me be right than to just throw sh** against a wall and hope it sticks. Making sure what I was told is correct, that’s all."

So far, that's the only thing about this season that interests me.

I can't imagine something that epic would center around a trashy backwoods wannabe like Tia.  She's gone to ground, so maybe she finally realizes she'll never be fetch enough.  

I just can't see anything she did having an impact on a franchise that's had to deal with the Melissa/Molly debacle, Brad's double rejection, contestant Eric Hill dying during the airing of Andi's season, anything having to do with Nick Vile, Ben & Courtney's skinny dipping, Kelsey Poe, and Corine and whats-his-name in Paradise, etc.  

But hey, never say never, right?  *LOL*

That's not a "spoiler", just a comment on Reality Steve's Twitter feed, not featured on his website.  He updates his site every Tuesday during the off season.  Just like he always has.  THAT is where he always posts actual spoilers.

I really don't see that comment as any different from when ABC shows trailers including footage that we NEVER see on the show, or that we see in a totally different context than what really happened.   

Everybody involved needs to start drumming up some sort of interest in who I think is the most ridiculous contestant in franchise history.  I don't see that Steve has much to work with, as even the network is barely running the ad on ABC.  Obviously they think he's a boring bohunk too. 

Colton Tweeted to the Denver Nuggets about him having a "Date" night on Tuesday, so Steve's comment is probably in response.  Since filming is over, Colton is obviously trolling, because no way he'd show up in public with the girl he picked.  It's got to be some sort of stunt date, like with his mom.

Well, Reality Steve has the finale details up on his website.  

I still can't stand Colton and hate the whole situation with Tia, but I may possibly go hypcrite and watch the season after all.  It kind of depends on how he handles things in the media in the next month. 

He's still way too vanilla for me, and the whole virgin schtick makes me stabby.  I'll read Steve, regardless.

Their hometowns were filmed in that order beginning on Oct 27th and ending on Nov. 2nd with a day in between each. The final four rose ceremony was in LA on Saturday, Nov. 3rd, and Caelynn Miller-Keyes was eliminated. The final three then headed off to Portugal.

This is where things got a little weird. Weird essentially means different since it’s something we’ve never seen happen on the “Bachelor” before.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6th, Tayshia and Colton had their overnight date in Sagres, Portugal. Here is a picture of them walking together near the famous lighthouse on Cabo de Sao Vicente.

On Thursday, Nov. 8th, Cassie Randolph had her overnight date. A decision was made on this overnight, or maybe the next morning when he woke up (I don’t know, I don’t live in Colton’s head), that Cassie was the one he wanted to be with. Colton never even went on his overnight date with Hannah. I’m sure she thought they were gonna go on one but at some point after his date with Cassie, he told Hannah that Cassie is the one he’s in love with, wanted to pursue, and sent Hannah home. He also told this to Tayshia. I’m not sure what order he did it in, but both Tayshia and Hannah were eliminated at this point because he wanted to pursue Cassie.

And now, Colton is engaged to Cassie.

That's not that weird at all. Colton seems the type who, once he picks one for certain would not want to spend the night with the others lest rumors start about what happened on those dates. Sounds like a yawn to me.

I agree with Steve that everything he does is about his brand.  So why waste time with the other girls when he can just pick one to be "engaged" to for a while, then stage a breakup, and move on. 

If the ONLY thing unique about his season is that Colton couldn't even play the game until the end, then the dullness is real and the boredom is probably guaranteed.

I'm sure Cassie is in on the fake engagement too for all those Instagram followers that are coming her way.  Not a surprise at all she's the winner, since she's from LA, her sister dates a semi famous person, etc.    I haven't decided one way or the other to whether to watch or not.   Might just follow along on twitter and recaps as it does sound pretty boring.

I'll have to go read Steve's post. In the meantime, my knee-jerk reaction to the above is--disappointment. They should have forced that fraudster to go on all of the overnights. Don't they say, "No pain, no gain"?  No, wait, it's "you have to pay to play". You want a career boost? Gotta pay for it.

I believe that this situation, sending people home after having this 'epiphany' will be the shocking drama for the season.  It will be advertised all season and be a big disappointment for all.  Every season, they need their big drama, this is it for Colton's season.

When the most interesting premise of your entire show, "Will they?" or "Won't They"? is removed from day 1, there's nothing to really attract me as a viewer.   Having a virgin in the driver's seat guarantees that.  

The Fantasy Suite component of the show isn't even necessary for this season, so allowing him to send home the 2 girls he didn't want to be fake-engaged to saves time and acting effort.  I'd imagine the 2 not chosen just have to substitute "I'm Soooo Heartbroken!" for "I'm Soooo Happy!" when they cry pretty for the cameras.

Not sure if the showrunners would choose another woman of color as lead so soon after Rachel.  Especially when they haven't had a non-white Bachelor (Juan Pablo doesn't count!).  Tayshia is attractive, but she's divorced and works at a gym, so I'm not sure how those add up to the right Bachelorette.  

But hey, the producers make the most ridiculous decisions all the time.  *LOL*
