Nope. State taxing bodies are totally separate from the Feds and frequently don't match in what is taxed and how.

Usually the feds have the case in the bag before moving in.  It gives the perp time to think, "They aren't onto us", and then do more stuff to get more rope to hang themselves.

Lindsie never seemed to have much of a problem being on the show and making money. I think she has a podcast with one of the teen moms. I bet the falling out was over money or she wanted more airtime or something. I remember episodes that were centered around how Todd and Lindsie’s husband did not get along. The oldest son/father of Chloe was only on a few of the first episodes because he seemed to have drugs issues and was arrested. 

i need someone to explain to me whose blond hair is real and whose is fake. I feel as though that color is not made in nature. Also, their teeth are so perfect and crazy white, are they veneers? I am fascinated by weird stuff.

LOL check out Chase's teeth closely.  The top is obviously fake super white veneers and the bottom is more natural.  This is super-pronounced during one of the middle seasons.

Is Lindsie the one who had the boob job on camera in the first season? I remember seeing the poor girl lying on a sofa in pain after her surgery while Todd acted like a total ass about how great her new rack was gonna look. I had the strong feeling that she never wanted the implants, but Todd browbeat her into it, either because he thought it would make for great TV or because he has no sense of boundaries when it comes to his daughters.

Todd reminds me of Jessica Simpson's father. He also was very obsessed with her looks and sexuality. My theory was and is that both men want to BE their daughters.

I am flummoxed by this show. First, I can’t believe BravHo is airing this shite now. Second, Todd seems very gay, and while I realize there are probably many gay men who choose to marry into heterosexual marriages and have children with a woman, in this case it seems like the big pink elephant in the room jus5 overtakes everything else for me. Aside from Todd’s flamboyance, why is this family on TV?

Savannah also has that arrogant, know it all,  attitude towards Chase, and she's not that smart or witty. Her voice is painfully tonal. Voice lessons needed. 

The fake tans on these people reflect their shallow souls. 

They can quote the Bible all they want, but they put their greed on display for all to see. Family values =  $ to them.  

I give Julie a pass because she seems normal, but dumb to go along with Todd and let him use her money to cheat others.

I've never watched the show, but I've seen commercials for it & stuff on gossip shows, & I always thought he was gay. I've been wondering if maybe it had something to do with how a Northerner like me perceives a Southerner like him & he's actually straight, like "Gay or European" from Legally Blonde.

Nah, I don't think so. European overly-groomed men don't behave like Todd does. The dude is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that, there isn't, but it's odd that he fronts like he isn't. Or maybe he's so overt that he isn't fronting and just wanted a family that was more the societal norm where he lives? I don't know. The dude is bizarre though. With a lot of bad plastic surgery. His wife is cute, I don't get it. The daughter is vacuous, the younger son seems like Todd's mini me in training, and the older son seems like the only decent offspring.

I am from the South. I was born in Kentucky and I lived in Georgia about 20 minutes from where the Chrisleys lived in Georgia. I don't think Todd is gay although he is flamboyant. I have known several Southern guys who were flamboyant and they were definitely straight. Just look at Prince or David Bowie who were flamboyant and they were straight. Almost every Chrisley knows Best episode Todd talks about having sex with his wife. He talks about it quite a bit. I mean he has 5 kids.  I don't know any guys who were secretly homosexual to have more than 1 or 2 kids.

Because I don't watch this show (and from the number of postings, neither do you), I saw an episode where the blonde mother, her blonde daughter (still underage), and some blonde bombshell (Allison?) went away to a hotel for a Staycation/Girls' Night Out.  The bombshell is beautiful, but her blonde hair is the wrong shade.  I can't tell if she's 28 or 42.  Her laugh is so staged that it's annoying. I thought she was "trying too hard" to be on television.

I AM WRONG.  She and her husband already have a new series on NETFLIX:  DeMarcus Family Rules Brings Celebrity Couple Reality TV to Netflix

I just became aware of the new 8th season of Chrisley and have been watching the eight episodes to catch up.  I'm halfway through right now.  The first episode was so jarring for me seeing Savannah's extremely short asymmetrical hair style.  She had such beautiful long hair.  Since she and Nick seem to still have an amicable relationship, I wonder if the engagement and calling off of the wedding have just been scripted for a story line? 

So far, there hasn't been much seen of Chloe.  She certainly has grown into a cute little girl.  Chase and Grayson also have grown and matured physically so much.  I've enjoyed watching this family from day one.

Grayson has morphed from child to young man during the break between seasons.  Savannah used to be so pretty but her face has drastically changed. I don’t know if it’s the unflattering yellow toned makeup foundation she seems to be using or if she is taking some type of medication (perhaps because of her severe endometriosis).

Just popping in to see if anyone has any intel to what I don't know. What is Todd's claim to fame ?

I like the older shows better than the recent ones (last 2 yrs or so). Nana is usually good for a couple of laughs with her quick comebacks- an oldie was when she was talking about going off somewhere with somebody and Todd said what if I find you at the Motel 6? Nana said -" keep on going"....🤣. I let the new episodes pile up and watch them in b/w other shows...

I am beginning to have a low tolerance for kid-adults to not seem to have a purpose in life, when they started out with more advantages than most.  Just what do Chase and Savannah do all day? I understand Julie is forever trying to be a cook or write a cookbook while raising Chloe - but I don't get what Julie really does with her time, either. Hopefully Grayson will go to college as he seems to want to play baseball at a higher level. Or maybe its just to get away from crazy.

I'm sorry I did not save the link, but yesterday I say an online story about testimony in the Chrisley case. A guy named Brad says he committed some of the financial misdeeds at Todd's request, and that he and Todd were intimate. These events were early in the show's beginning, or just before it.

My stepson loves their show. I always thought they were incredibly fake and shady, so now I feel vindicated. And very glad that they will be made to pay for it one way or another (unless the judge goes soft). Between the Chrisleys and Josh Duggar, the last few weeks have been schadenfreud-alicious.

I'm guessing that will depend on how long the sentences are for each of them.    They better start worrying on state charges also, just because they got convicted on federal chages doesn't mean that the states they claimed residency in will forget those charges.

One of the problems is that they are likely to get much longer sentences than Teresa and Joe, who pleaded guilty and had some inkling of the range of their potential sentence. Todd and Julie have no idea what their sentence may be other than up to 30 years. Plus, since Julie was found guilty of the wire fraud, she potentially faces a longer term than Todd. 
 

I do wonder if they were filming the next season up to the trial and/or will film after the verdict but before sentencing like Teresa and Joe. Will their kids’ show now revolve around the oldest taking care of the youngest? Will both shows be canceled and the older kids now be forced to get real jobs? What will Todd look like in prison once the Botox has made its way out of his face. I have so many questions.

I don't know if others remember the first season of this series, but their lifestyle then was extremely opulent - way more than is shown now. And Todd was an asshole - regularly flying into rages and berating his family on camera. By the second season he had toned all of that way down, and they began to pull away from the extreme spending (at least in terms of what viewers saw).

They've always struck me as grifters, including grandma. Early on there were unflattering stories online about Todd and Julie, and later his mother's gambling debts.

Todd has held extreme emotional and financial control over his family, and I wonder what the children will do once he and Julie are in the hoosegow. I hope they break free of his control, but I don't know if they know how to. Or if they will figure out how to live off-camera and without social media money and endorsements.

I live in Nashville, and in the recent couple of years they've twice announced that they're going to open an upscale-casualish restaurant in downtown Nashville.  Never happened. I'd say it's never going to.

I remember somethine else about the first season that quickly changed by the second. Todd was extremely inappropriate with sexual comments toward and about daughter Savannah. He once referred to some short-shorts she was wearing as "cootchie cutters" and made her change clothes, and for her birthday (18th maybe?) the cake was either in the shape of a big boob or a penis, can't remember which. Not something most fathers give their daughters. I'm sure there was a lot more, but I can't remember at the moment.
