Matt, himself, has said this. I, personally, don't believe he was ever an addict. Why? I think he has a history of inventing issues to get him closer to vulnerable women. So I see him as this total pariah; getting close to girls, figuring out their stories, then trying to make himself seem just like them.

Ambers brother has appeared in a few episodes.  Neither liked or disliked him.  I'm always afraid to like somebody because next day we read horrible things about them.  With that said the only other one that seems to come around once in a while is her cousin.  Her mother is hardly ever seen. 

Re that new black couple.  Who are they and where the heck did Amber come up with them?  They always appear to be in shock any time they appear with Amber on the set.  They seem nice enough but who are they?

According to an online court docket for the state of Indiana, Hasell was arrested and charged with prostitution on December 4, 1995.

He pled guilty to the crime and was sentenced to prison for four days with a 270-day probation period.

Only months later, Hasell was charged with two counts of dealing cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine on February 20, 1996. He was held on $30,000 bond at the time of his arrest.

He was found guilty on both counts of dealing cocaine on May 23, 1996.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with four years suspended for the first count and 10 years in prison with four years suspended for the second count. He was ordered to serve the sentences concurrently with one another.

He was also placed on probation for 730 days, and ordered to pay court fines and fees.

Then on September 19, 1999, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol count of .08-.15% and driving with a suspended license.

He was found guilty of driving with a blood alcohol level of .08-.15%, while the other two charges were dismissed.

He was sentenced to eight days in prison and was placed on 180 days of probation.

He was arrested for a second DWI on November 2, 2000. He was charged with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and one count of public intoxication.

Hasell was found guilty of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was found not guilty of public intoxication. He was sentenced to 365 days in prison. He was also placed on probation for two years. For the second count, he was sentenced to 30 days in prison and was placed on probation for 365 days.

I think if he was prostituting women, he would have been charged with pimping or pandering.

Just Googled Indiana laws. It seems prostitution covers the seller, the buyer, and the promoter (the pimp). Take your pick.

That article only goes up to 2000. It doesn't mention what crimes he committed after that. If he had just gotten out of prison in 2015, was it for a similar crime or for violation of probation? Is he another Butch with all the violations of probation?

I respectfully disagree. 

Maci complained most of this season, and last season, and the season before, about wanting Ryan to be the person she co-parents with. How can she explain away wanting to co-parent with someone who she was fully aware had a drug problem? 

Maci is not concerned about Bentley's safety or else she would have gone to court already. Do we have any confirmation of her having removed Bentley from that environment? If she had, the tabloids would have mentioned it by now. Every other TM cast member has their court information posted within hours.

If Maci was so concerned, we would not have watched her drop off Bentley a few times with Ryan for visitation. And those drop-offs occurred after Ryan's first trip to rehab. Maci admitted on the reunion she was aware of him being in rehab and quickly relapsing. What in the hell was she thinking by allowing Bentley to be around Ryan? MTV showed scenes of her giving Jen permission to take Bentley to Ryan's or to have Ryan spend time with Bentley. Maci was more concerned with ridding herself of her kids by leaving them with mimi and pawpaw so she can have alone time to drink, party, and travel out of state to party with friends. 

Maci needs to start looking at her own drinking issues and how they concern her marriage and the poor kids who watch them have their blow up fights.

He could have violated his probation throughout the years, testing dirty, not showing up for his probation appointments, having contact with law enforcement for minor infractions, being in possession, being under the influence, etc. That is what happened to Butch. He said he was on probation for five years and each time he fucked up, it added to his probation. He eventually went back to prison and did four years, was released on probation and he fucked up again and was sent back for a short stint. 

 

Maybe Matt is playing online poker?
