I want to know how Michael had Angela’s daughters phone number.

Just a guess . . . but if Grangela tried to call Michael and he didn't answer, maybe she used her daughter's phone to trick him into answering.  I see this happen a lot on TV shows.  When he realized that it was Grangela calling, he kept the number in his phone so he'd have another number to avoid.

Angela is straight-up terrifying.  Psycho, abusive and revels in drama.  The perfect Southern stereotype for TLC.  Ugh.

I'm not arguing w/ you but I'm trying to put myself in her shoes. i'm wondering how I would feel if I blew (what appears to be) my life savings to travel to a scary, foreign place with an engagement ring in hand based on a bunch of empty promises, and felt nothing but insulted and rejected...then lied to? IDK, how would the average person handle that?

Angela and Molly from 90 Day Fiancée are cut out of the same cloth.  Both think that their boy toys owe them and the women own them.   These woman get off on dominating and emasculating their men, knowing the men come from a culture where men Takes the lead.   Angela enjoyed embarrassing Michael and making him look weak in front of his friends.

It’s hard to believe what someone will put up with and sacrifice to come to the US.  I cannot fathom that desperation.

I'm curious how Molly emasculated Luis? I can see how Angela emasculated Michael (crotch grabbing, demanding sex, pumping his friends for information about him).

You can't justify Molly and Angela pushing, shoving and slapping those men. These women are base, self centered, pervy abusive alcoholics. Nicole isn't much better either

Sounds good. I just thought it odd. The fact that the daughter even discussed anything with him was strange. Too easy to get into trouble by Inadvertently (or getting tricked) into giving out info and causing problems or an argument with a friend or sibling.

It’s happened to me:

a couple minutes of small talk and then:

her:  “ Oh are you driving down with  your brother or alone?”

Me:  “Driving down where?”

Her: “ To Baltimore”

Me:  “ What’s in Baltimore?”

Her:  “............Ah... the  funeral?

Me:    “....... funeral? .....”

Her:    “ Yeah....: funeral.... for your  GRANDMOTHER!!!” Slams phone down

Me:   “0oh shit”

She was beyond stupid to fall for this in the first place. To some degree, she is justified to feel angry and frustrated, but her conduct is horrendous. And if you haven't watched her appearances on Maury, you should. She's an abusive, abrasive, vulgar person in all life situations.

Too be fair, are not all guests on the Maury show abusive, abrasive, vulgar people?!?!? It's the Maury standard!

She really acted unhinged in this last episode.   She was getting  physical with him and I think if the cameras weren't there he would have hit her back.

I don’t know if he would have hit her back, but I definitely think he would have made sure she knew her behavior wasn’t tolerated at any fronts by restraining her. Even with that initial slap after the “fat” comment, I think Michael was ready to push her hand out of his face. I don’t know what it is about this show and the assault of men by women. From Anfisa to Nicole to Angela, keeping your hands to yourself seems to be a lesson of a time log ago.

I live in Georgia. Michael's biggest problem would be dealing with Angela herself.

I've been thinking a lot about Georgia lately bc I'm reading Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley, the sequel to Gone with the Wind.

Ten years after the war, the population is poor but proud, and they uphold & carry out all the nuances & manners of so-called proper society. Trashy behavior is hidden behind closed doors.

Oh, Angela.

If you're a fan of GWTW can I suggest the novel "A Touch of Stardust"? Very cool novel about Gable and Lombard and the making of the movie as told by Lombard's personal assistant (it's fiction, but quite good, especially if you're a GWTW/Gable&Lombard fan!)

Oh I agree. My point was that Angela, while presented in the first episode as a doting grandma caring for her sick mom, an endearing Goober Pyle, she's actually a very nasty person and has been, not just now with Michael.

DerAngela is so obnoxious.  I feel bad for Michael, not realizing what a complete moonbat he's let into his life.    The final straw for me was DerAngela's use of the word "wiggle," when asking if the jungle bridge thing was going to "wiggle."  For some reason that really bugged me.

Meh, I cant feel badly for Michael, he's a classic Nigerian scammer and I'd bet he thought he was pretty fucking crafty what with actually getting someone to fly over to Lagos (if you've never been, don't, I transited through the airport there once and that was enough. I had to be escorted from immigration to baggage to a company car to domestic check in to walking me on to the tarmac, waiting to SEE my bags get put into the hold, then walked to the plane stairs - all that so I wouldn't go missing or worse while moving from international to domestic terminals). Anyhoo, in my experience there, there are a ton of excellent people who live in Nigeria. I mean the most hospitable, funny, bright, articulate, wonderful people you will ever meet anywhere! The problem is they live wedged underneath corrupt government officials and all their hangers on, and above a service industry of people on the take (hotels, taxis, restaurants, mechanics, and anything else you can think of) who are also trying to grab what they can from folks. If you're in the middle band of society - just a nice person trying to live a decent life and not be a dick - then you get stuck in the middle of a veritable shit sandwich. Michael seems like he's from the bottom band - probably nothing more than a secondary education at best, and then a series of dead end jobs while he's trying to figure out what scam he can use to get himself rich quick, without working too hard to get there. So getting to America - where he seems to think Grangela will wine and dine him and pamper him for life - is his Holy Grail. What the fuck does he not get about her? His life, from what we've seen, is a lot better than most Nigerians...He has no clue the racism he'll face in the deep South, and there are a shit ton of beautiful, gorgeous, educated women in Lagos who would be marriage material for him. He's not attracted to GrAng, he's running a long con, and he's freaking out that it's falling apart but honestly, what did he expect? The moment she stepped through customs he should have known and turned tail and run. Oy.

We often discuss here how the Americans don't seem to do much research on the country of those they define as "the love of my life."  Shouldn't we also wonder why people in those foreign lands who can get on the internet to find suckers don't seem to bother googling what life is like where they're going?  If Michael had Angela's home address, he could pull it up on Google and see that it's a double-wide, not a pretty home in an affluent suburb.  It should be clear to Michael by this point that Angela is poor and uncouth . . . why would he want to tie himself to her legally for a minimum of two years?  That's hard time to serve - and I doubt he would ever be truly done with her until SHE says it's over.

For whatever reason Michael is ignoring the obvious because he's so set on getting out of Nigeria.   Like it or not this is his ticket and he's going to do everything he can to keep it.

It was like Annie and David.  She even said she thought all Americans drove big cars and lived in fancy houses.   I think they're getting their view of America from movies and tv shows.  They're willing to put up with some discomfort to reap the rewards, or so they think.

Michael better hitch his wagon to something else. Considering Angela or some of her people shared a video with a confederate flag hanging behind her/them and Scottie is facing charges for...go read about it...he is better off staying farrrr away from the Deem family.

I don't know why he would be stuck in Nigeria. There are plenty of Naija people who left and moved abroad. Hitching his wagon to Angela would probably hurt more than help. Yeah, she's the vehicle to get him to the States, but if she couldn't afford to change her flight, what are the odds of her having the money for the K1 fees? He could've found an easier, more pleasant person to deal with.

Compared to Michael's family home, Angela's double wide might seem like a palace to him.  He probably was attracted to her being a hospice worker and taking care of her own dying mother because he has said all along that Angela is going to "take care of" him and now he told her that he thinks of her as a mother. With all the immigration issues going on currently, he might figure the best way to gain admission to the US is to marry an American but he had no idea Angela was so demanding and wanted a sex slave in exchange for her sponsorship. From what I have read, he still hasn't given up on the idea of Angela bringing him here and is still trying to contact her, but she's not receptive to his pleas.

Clearly TLC doesn't do background checks on participants or anyone who gets airtime. They've already pulled her from the live chat that was due to take place on 30 September, and they don't need to show any more footage of her for the remaining episodes. This was always my concern with these women and men on these shows who bring anybody and everybody around their children.

Michael needs to go back to Facebook and try again. This family is like the gift that keeps giving and giving....the most unpleasant surprises and most unwelcome gifts.

TLC's official Twitter initially posted a tweet on their page telling fans to submit their questions for Tarik's brother, Dean, and Angela's daughter, Scottie. After everything came out, said tweet has now been pulled and deleted. One of the fan pages posted an update to their original post that said she would no longer be part of whatever was planned this weekend. I can't imagine that in the midst of the MeToo movement and overall sensitivity that they would continue airing any footage of Scottie.

The name "Michael Ilesanmi" must be the equivalent to "John Smith" in the US. There are tons of them on FB, many in Nigeria. 90 Day "Michael" is on FB under his real name of "Kehinde Ilesanmi" but his page hasn't been updated in a while. I'd be surprised if he hasn't received many proposals for American women who would like to bring him here.

Wow, Angela and her daughter are just trash - revolting trash.  I'd bet anything  Scottie saw her mother do stuff like that growing up.  I hope the father (s) of her children step it up and try to get them away from the duel influence of Scottie and anglea.  Poor grifting Micheal sure dodged a bullet.

Ok, I'm just going to say something that I haven't mentioned before, because it's speculation on my part. In the first episode, when they showed Frizzy Ang's mom in her sickbed, she looked depressed or even frightened. Now maybe it's because she's ill, but the look on her face and in her eyes made me concerned. Like concerned for her wellbeing and general safety. I hope I'm wrong, but the more we learn about this family, the more disturbing they become.

And if my mom was dying of cancer, I would not be flying off to Africa to chase after a boy toy.

I should go back and watch that episode so I have my facts straight, but I do remember that it made me uneasy at the time.

Did you notice there was a lock on the mother's door on the outside of the bedroom door?  I wonder if Angela locks her in.   Someone on another site posted a screenshot  and people didn't seem to think much of it (it was only the first episode) , but in light of this new information maybe it's not so innocent.

It could be she's a flight risk, although this would be a bad way to prevent that.

Scottie has 5 kids? I wonder how old the oldest is? I hope they wrap up Angela's story and she is not invited back. As much as I found seeing someone go to Nigeria interesting, I'm sure there are other people they could have found. I know where I live there are so many K1 visas due to LDS missions but those story lines can be dull. In the last 5 years a lot more missionaries are going to Africa over south America. I would rather see a slightly boring  religious based story line then Angela's.

The lock on the outside of the door would scare me. When my son was young we rented a home while we were buying.  My son was 4 and one day he was screaming and we found out his bedroom door was locked and he was locked in. It was not obvious that the door could be locked from the outside, it was a special door knob. My husband owns a repair company and had never seen a lock like this. The owners let us change it and all the bedroom locks, hey were very upset the previous renter  installed them. Guess what? The previous renter was a respected school employee that is now in jail for sexual crimes against kids (kids the same age as his own!).  The case actually is reality TV related since the sex offener's wife divorced him and married a reality star.

As far as I recall,  we’ve only seen Scottie’s three little blonde girls but wasn’t she pregnant when they took Angela to the airport? I never heard anything about a 5th child but maybe Scottie had one when she was younger. If you go to her or Angela’s FB pages (Scottie Deem/Angela Deem) there are group pictures from her recent birthday and other events with multiple children but Scottie only mentions her “3 little loves” that we saw at the airport and brags about trying to be a “good Mommy”. I believe the brunette woman in the photos is Angela’s other daughter, Skyla Rae, who appears to keep a low profile.

There is a common misconception that having a sexual relationship with a person of color means that you aren't a racist. Fetishizing someone of color doesn't mean that you are them as an equal or even a person   I would be very concerned about Michael living with those rednecks.

No, they wouldn't cancel a whole show because of one minor characters real life issues.  I know they are cutting her out of the show, but the 2 week hiatus has been planned since before this story broke.  Unexpected is also not on Sunday.

The more I think about the Scottie thing, the more disgusting it becomes. He was under 16, so I'm assuming 14 or 15-so in year eight or nine. If he wasn't younger. All these men in the world, and you had to go after a BOY. Obviously he didn't feel comfortable being touched or he wouldn't have spoken up and told his parents/guardian. And shame on this judgmental bitch for judging Michael talking about he's a scammer. I'd rather be around a scammer than a child paedo any day of the week. Shame on TLC for not checking and if they did check and still let this bird be on TV and part of stuff for 90 Day, they are just as dirty and low. Shame on Angela because she had to know since Scottie has been out on bond all this time. How has she managed to keep her kids but she wasn't allowed to be around other kids? TLC needs to pull Angela off, too. Michael, go find another way into the States. This trashy ass family needs Iyanla to come fix their lives.
