I was dying laughing at Ruval's mother during the ceremony. The expression on her face was priceless. And of course she could really walk! Oh, Sheryl Lee Ralph, you were bonkers and I loved every minute.

I'm kind of surprised no one has shot that shit-stirring cousin, but I guess that's a step too far for even Roller.

Pretty much everyone I expected to died did. I wonder if Olga will be back next season.

That was some craziness. Oh show, never change. I don't know what surprised me more Dean shooting Zlata or Desna was wearing a wire or Virginia getting shot. I hope she isn't dead, but it didn't look good.

Finally, foreplay from Roller. Ha. I like that he is estranged from Clay and the Dixie Mafia.

The fight between Desna and Gregory was unrealistic. He would have killed her if he really tried. I am not crying for him or his mother.

ETA: I loved Desna's curly hair and white outfit at the end.

What the hell was Ruval's mama doing rolling down the hall looking for her son on his wedding night?  If she had minded her own damn business her ass wouldn't have got shot.

Hopefully it happens next season but by someone outside the family so they won't feel guilty.

Speaking of feeling guilty, now Dean will have to live with the fact that he killed someone, even if it was to save Desna's life.  I was afraid Dean would eventually get involved in Desna's shit, and now it's happened.  And if Virginia really is dead, then he has to live with that, too, and I wonder how he'll feel about Desna afterwards.

That was a wild ride.

So much packed into the hour. Reminded me of the S1 finale that I also thought was a little too busy and could have easily fit two eps.

I am curious about Clay's story about Roller & Bryce's parents, especially with Bloody Ghost Juanda making an appearance to tell him to tell the truth.

Lol at Bryce & Jenn sneaking in an afternoon delight during the reception. Then Roller & Desna having sex at her reception. I enjoy S2 Roller & Desna now that the writing is consistent for Roller. Loved Desna's power move against Clay at the end and that Roller supported her. Desna's entire look as she dismissed Clay was on point.

Confused why Desna ever thought to trust Zlata at all with this plan. Dean saved the day, which was both cool and odd for me.

Polly slapping Olga's snitching behind was glorious.

Quiet Anne hitting on the bartender... I hope she can bounce back from Arlene quickly this time.

I love that Desna helped Mandy out.

Virginia pushing Desna out of the way was good. Looks like she took a headshot. I am guessing she will survive. The casino scene took me out for a moment cause I totally recognized it as the Harrah's on Canal St in NOLA immediately.

I am looking forward to S3.

The anvil of Virginia telling Dean "we gotta rely on each other" (paraphrasing, probably) last week coupled with that preview for this episode gave it all away. The shock, at this point, is if Virginia takes a soap opera bullet to the head and is fine. At this point she better be just because I don't want a 3rd season based on Dean yelling at Des for this, Virginia, while she's certainly grown on me, was def fine with the idea of running shit along Desna. Virginia got to where she was by her own bad life choices. Was Virginia taking instagram pics while Dean was getting a gun? Wasn't that the only thing Densa asked her to do, she failed. It would just be keeping character consistency that Virginia couldn't even die for Desna properly.

The disappearance of Quiet Ann, even with Arlene showing up in the wedding aftermath is just a WTF. Did I miss something? I mean I know she hit on that bartender but still.

The UncleDaddy killed Real Daddy bit was hinted at last year but really after pretty much leaving it alone this season until the finale felt like they finally just remembered they never finished that story.

"Does a crocodile shit in the woods?" "I hope so." HA! Okay, good one. Damn Polly can slap a bitch.

Yeah, I don't buy that Ruval would have died that easy. I was waiting for Arlene to say he's in a coma or something. I definitely don't buy that he left any property solely in Desna's name.  I do buy that the Haitian and Dixie mafia will be after Desna, so she better get security. It's definitely a stretch to believe that she and Virginia would be walking the streets without protection after all that went down. Anyone street savvy would be smarter than that.

I totally think Virginia will be in a coma but not die. I know its just a coincidence but it is kind of weird that something bad happens to Karrueche's character in an episode named "Breezy" aka Chris Brown's nickname. And that they addressed Desna giving her shit for being Blasian which CB's stans definitely went in on her for as well.

Nicey's never looked more stunning than in that white outfit with that hair. Can't blame Roller a bit for wanting that back.

Looking back on it now... part of me is starting to wonder if Roller and Olga's marriage is legal. I mean... sure they had the priest/vows/party but... did they get a real marriage license? I don't know why that suddenly came into my head when Roller and Olga were talking but... hm.

Anyway... wow that was a wild episode. I kinda can't wait to see Roller working against Uncle Daddy next season but I feel really bad for Clint being stuck in the middle of all of it. He looked super awkward the entire time.

I'm still so sad that none of this wedding was real for Desna. I'm so mad at the writers for making me ship Ruval and Desna so hard. Did she... did she actually cut off his dick...? He seemed to be grabbing his uhhhh. nethers.

Polly slapping Olga was glorious though... but I wish Ann and Jenn were also there with Roller and Polly. It's a shame we didn't get that much "closure" with them this season.

I do agree that this episode seemed to be a LOT to fit in for 60 minutes.

What a great finale! Sooo much going down in one episode.

Clint is a conniving little bastard for sowing discord between Clay and Roller, he knew exactly what he was doing. Funny that only Juanda and Toby’s dick kept Clay from blowing his brains out.

So Ruval’s plan was to have Desna murdered when she went to check out the one property he left to her. I guess he prepaid!

I also liked that Desna helped Mandy, but damn it if I didn’t enjoy Crackhead Mandy better.

I was surprised they gave Virginia a head wound but maybe she’ll come back in a coma or maybe they’ll give her the Bryce treatment. It’s hard for me to believe she’s gone, even though I never really liked her (neither actor nor character).

Yea for Boss Desna (First of Her Name, Husband Slayer and Snatcher of All Edges) doing boss things, and Roller as her lover/henchman! Can’t wait for Summer 2019.

I wonder if Polly was hallucinating again, or did she really meet Lillian in the insane asylum as part of a twist that I was theorizing last week. So the nail salon theme of the show will be replaced with a casino setting? That will probably be interesting. A lot of seedy shit can go down in a casino atmosphere.

It felt like scenes were missing, things didn't flow organically.  Not only with Ann being MIA, but Ruval's mama suddenly looking for him so desperately at such an odd time.

IMO we're waiting for them to make some clarify who's who when it comes to Uncle Daddy and Real Daddy.

Wearing the same navy pantsuit?

An excellent finale!  Surprises (the wire), resolutions  (Zlata) and lingering questions (Is Ruval really dead?).

Virginia's head wound looked a graze to me.  She'll be back next season with Desna"s newfound respect and admiration.

Now that you say that, I think you’re exactly right. IIRC, the gunshot wound was on her right side and the hitmen (hitpeople?) came from her left, so there’s no way the bullet could have entered her skull from her right (and there was no exit wound, just bleeding on her right).

Yes, wearing the same navy pantsuit. The show being clever and twisted as only it knows how.

Also, to me, it looked like this finale was resetting the entire dynamic of things. Ditching the nail salon setting to a casino setting, and getting rid of Desna's crew? Are we not going to see Jen, Polly, Ann, and Virginia (she was shot in the head afterall), return for season 3? Like, does Desna meet up with 4 new girls involved in the casino setting? I couldn't quite tell what this finale was conveying.

I'm not gonna even front.  Everybody in my household was on their feet hollering and shouting (like we were in church) when Dean shot Zlata.  We had one prayer.  Just one!  And, it was answered:  we wanted that bitch gone by the end of the episode.  What a sad commentary on your prayer life, right?

At the risk of sounding crude, Roller's "head" game?  Gave me life.  And, Polly's pimp-slapping game was everything!  I also wondered if Ruval would actually get to enjoy his wedding night, but once Olga's snitching ass called, I already knew the answer.  Like others, I was surprised that the end came for him so quickly and easily.  I resent shipping Desna and Ruval only to have it turn out to be one big lie.

Evidently, Ruval didn't hear Desna's vows:  she would love him until the day he died--not her.  I heard that loud and clear and burst out laughing.  Maybe Ruval's mama heard it and had a premonition about her son.  Some people are like that.  That's the only semi-logical explanation I can come up with to explain why she would be in her motorized wheelchair shrieking for him on his wedding night and having the presence of mind to be packing and whipping out her piece when she found Desna and Zlata.

I have to admit that although I didn't like Virginia much, she actually grew on me a little.  I wasn't surprised that she took a bullet for Desna; the previews and her narrating (as if she was a ghost) kind of gave it away.  Kudos to those who guessed last season that Clay killed Bryce and Roller's parents.  The moment Roller called Clay by his first name, Clay should have known the gig was up.

Although I'm not down for criminality, I loved it when Desna ripped that "Boss" necklace from Zlata's scrawny neck.  Her white suit and curly hair when she told Clay how things were going to be from now on--AWESOME!  The cherry on top was Roller being her ride and die.

Now, I have to wonder if Desna is going to get a whole new crew since it appears the dynamic of the show will change.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  I also don't want Virginia's shooting (death?) to drive a wedge between Desna and Dean, but that seems to be where things are headed.

I hope that Desna has a new crew next season to go along with the new casino location.  I'm especially tired of quirky Polly and weird Quiet Ann.  Virginia can go, too.  The only one I kinda like is Jenn so I'd miss her.

However, if Desna wants to be the new boss, she needs to get smarter and have bodyguards.  She and Virginia really looked like two amateurs standing outside that casino.  Judging by the slender build of the shooter, I'm guessing it was Olga.

I still think Desna should try to go straight, which is why I have no sympathy for her.  I do think that she and Roller make a hot couple though.  Hot, but stupid.  I will say that I loved her hair and outfit when she was talking to Uncle Daddy.

I find myself being interested most in the scenes with the nail art women. They have great acting chemistry.

There are so many great sight gags, but the show jams in too many plots, dialogue, characters and scenes and I miss some of them.

The casting is great. Besides the incomparable NN and the always-great Carrie Preston, I think Jenn Lyon is a great find. She's funny and beautiful (under all that hair and makeup) but we don't get to see her do enough.  All of the actors are great. The Russian bride looks exactly like the very young, beautiful women who come out of nowhere in Russia to model. They all must have a ball wearing the glam and kooky outfits.

I wonder if the new casino setting is meant to get away from trying to be funny about the opioid crisis.

Also, are the cliff-hangers due in part to the uncertainty of contract negotiations with the actors?

Ruval's mother looked so angry during the ceremony. I thought she was going to fly out of that chair and attack Desna so I wasn't surprised that she would go find her son after.

Ruval's violence and menace was scary as hell. I didn't realize that he had been toying with her. If it was real life, he would have killed her in minutes. There is no way she could have overpowered or fought him off.

Hmmm...

I hope the cast remains the same, the five women have oodles of chemistry that doesn't happen all the time.  I know Jen says she is moving to Tampa, but with the escalating tension between Roller and Uncle Daddy, I can see Bryce (and Jen) remaining in Palmetto County.  I did notice the the opening title shot had been changed.  Less nails.

They should change the name from "Claws" to "Chips". I think it would be a shame to ditch all the characters and locations they established to reinvent the show as "Desna and Roller's Excellent Casino Adventures". I don't understand how after working with the police to take down criminals, the police would allow you to go free but still allow you to continue to do criminal activities.

I can understand why continuing on in the nail salon would be problematic after all of the legal issues.  I will not be okay with swapping out these fantastic women and the great chemistry they have.  Desna's going to go forward as a full-on boss trusting new people to have her back?  I don't buy it.

There's no reason why they can't all work for Desna as part of the casino operation. They can open a nightclub inside the casino where Polly's male strippers can perform and Quiet Ann's new girlfriend can run the bar.

Am I the only one who expected to see Madame come rolling into the ladies' room and find Roller underneath Desna's wedding gown? I know it wouldn't have fit the plot, but it would have been awesome.

It is unrealistic that Ruval would leave Desna a casino, but moving the show from the nail salon to a casino is a good idea. I agree that it has to be with the same crew for it to work. The one of the women I am not fond of is Polly and she won points for her Stephanie Forrester-like slaps of Olga.

I’m surprised the whole damn wedding reception didn’t run in there to see what the hell was going on. Lord, have mercy. Roller should have lifted that dress up a little higher and shoved some of it in her mouth.

I was real happy for Desna getting in a little stress relief before the shit hit the fan, but good Lord. Like my Grandma used to say when I would forget to use my inside voice: “Girl...hush that fuss! Ain’t no need for the whole damn neighborhood to hear you!”

I didn't know why Virginia was narrating, but I loved all her random quips - Desna's "Grammy-winning" performance and how well her sunglasses matched her jacket.
When Desna was wailing over her at the end, I wasn't sure if we were supposed to take it seriously.  She only had a graze to the head.

I'm surprised Roller let the shit-stirring cousin under his skin. I hope the cousin gets a beat down next season.

Zlata was dumb to underestimate her daughter, but Olga sure had a quick turnaround on her betrayal.  She calls Ruval, and confessed to Roller and Polly ten minutes later?

Desna looked amazing at the end.

I was disappointed and surprised about Desna's honeymoon outfit, I was expecting to see her in something hot and sexy and skimpy.  That negligee outfit looked like something my grandma would have worn.  I know she wasn't planning on having sex with Ruval before she killed him, but I think the look on his face when he saw her in that getup kind of raised his spidey senses, even before Olga called him.  Plus, it's always a dead (pardon the pun) giveaway when someone keeps insisting that you drink from the glass.

Desna is going to have to be a whole lot smarter than she has been if she wants to be a Big Bad Boss Lady like Zlata.

It has to have run its course since both the local police and the FBI know about the drug operation, how it was being run, and who was running it. To continue to do the same thing would be foolish. It was necessary to come up with a new way to break the law, at this point.

Polly has some serious slap skills! She needs to get on a daytime soap ASAP.

Yeah, that was all kinds of nuts. I admit, I cheered when Dean blew Zlata away, and Desna pulled her boss necklace off her bloody neck. I liked Zlata as a villain, but that psycho had it coming. And of course the wheelchair mom can really walk. Of course she can. I half expected her to actually have a rocket launcher underneath her wheelchair.

Cant wait to see Desna running the casino, even if everyone else has split...I guess. That wasn't super well explained, but I guess everyone will come back next year after Virginia got shot. Her hair and outfit were seriously on point in that last scene! As much fun as the casino could be, I do want them to get back to nail polish with the whole crew together. The outrageous nails are one of my favorite things about the show!

Just when I start liking Virginia, she gets shot! It looks like maybe the bullet grazed her, and she will be in a coma at the start of next season. She really is Ride or Die after all. I was wary on Virginia doing the narration, but it grew on me. Much like Virginia.

A wild ride, as always. Now, all we need next season is for Roller to attack some bad guys with an alligator!

I wish the seasons were longer- it feels like storylines were too rushed.  Madame was one that should have shown more, for sure.  Why put her in a wheelchair then reveal that she can walk and then not explain why they put her in the wheelchair?  Maybe it'll come out next season?

So what was shady cousin Clint up to trying to make Roller think Uncle Daddy killed his father?

Dewy and buttery. The look every bride shoots for on her wedding day.

WTF was Zlata wearing to the wedding? That was her first fashion fail, IMO.

A Dirty South, sociopathic, Thug Life, country boy, meatheaded, sexist Neanderthal. That's our Roller! Still fine though.

Dean for the win! He has such unexpected talents.

Zlata was shot in the back. How does Desna explain that to the cops without ratting out somebody? And whose gun did Dean use?

Lol, a casino. Next season's gonna be fun.

That's what I usually suspect. Also, sometimes actors get other jobs on other shows and don't want to come back. I wonder if they knew the show had been renewed when they taped the season finale?

With this show, I wouldn't be surprised if Ruval is in witness protection (willingly or not) and will show up a season from now just as Desna's about to marry Roller. Nothing ruins a wedding like the first non-dead husband showing up!
