Loved the premiere, love having Kristin back on my TV.  Jay's funny as heel, who knew?  My only complaint is the amount of airtime given to the redhead.  She's rather obnoxious, and not in an entertaining way.

I liked the scenes with Kristin & her friend talking about the hot Canadian that got away.  Hope the show focuses more on that and less on the staff, at least until the store opens and they actually have stuff to do.

It was hot as hell last night and nothing was on that I wanted to watch so I turned this on just to see what's become of KC since Laguna Beach/The Hills days. Mind you, I never liked her on either show, she was always too bitchy for my liking. What I got last night was a slightly more mature version of KC, with kids and a husband, and a fledgling career/fashion brand. But she lost all points when I 'met' her employees, who were all basically mid-late 20's versions of the same bitches she hung with on The Hills. So maybe she hasn't matured, it's just that she has a kid and husband, but the same poor taste in useless, entitled reality wannabe friends.

I also got really sick and tired of her snide comments about Jay. I doubt she made enough from her previous shows to be wealthy for life, and I'm betting Jay's bankrolling Uncommon James so, yanno, girl needs to step back and stop bitching about her husband being around all the damn time. That sort of negative husband chatter really irks the hell out of me, especially when said bitcher is availing themselves of the husband's bank account...even if her husband does seem like a total dimwit asshat.

So in summary, I dont think I'll be hitting this one again. It's shot pretty much exactly like The Hills (is it the same company I wonder, camera work & editing is so similar), and has really annoying as fuck staff whose bitching and problems with each other I simply dont have time for.  Girl bye.

I watched.

Disappointed, though I'm not sure what I was expecting. The saying "water seeks its own level" kept coming to mind when they introduced her vapid friends and their pitifully thirsty boyfriends (sidenote, KC must have retained at least a couple of friends from her Laguna/LA days that simply don't want to film--right? I still find it odd and kind of sad that both on The Hills and here we've never seen evidence of any meaningful longstanding childhood friendships, except I guess for Heidi Pratt...yay?)

And sorry, but Jay is the walking epitome of "UGH." I'm sure both of them are doing alright for themselves and she has made a nice little sum from her Chinese Laundry deal, books, and other endorsements. But there's never been much love lost between him and football fans, and his scowling and puttering around that garish house between bouts of checkin the deer cam certainly isn't going to endear him to anyone. She will one day tire of his rudeness and of carefully kowtowing to his mood swings, I predict. And I hope that day comes sooner than later.

Vapid is the key word here. I don't know that I can make it through another episode. Kristin is looking gaunt and hungry af and prattling around with that weird Valley Girl accent -- I can't. Jay is a rude slug and the NFL does not miss him. I doubt their marriage will last. It probably only lasted this long because they spent so much time apart, but now that he's retired, they're going to annoy each other.

I'm guessing that all of this is manufactured drama and that Uncommon James has a real staff holed up in cubicles somewhere. These PYT and their insipid social lives are all for us. It's boring, I gave this stuff up with Laguna Beach, The Hills and The City. I'm officially too old for it.

Shannon - stop trying to make "stay in your lane" happen. And stop with the alpha girl power plays. You are coming off as desperate and threatened. And that whole"Brittany, I want you to be straight no chaser" in all facets of life??? Please.

Kristin - How much do you not like your husband? You prob love him, but you sure don't act like you like him. Eat a sandwich and stop trying to remain the mean girl. You should have mellowed and moved on by now.

Ok, times up on this one. Watching a bunch of (might as well be) wanna-be Cali girls living in TN acting like OMG! we are so fabulous and awesome cause KC chose us to be in her reality show! No thanks, someone needs to tell KC, this will not help your lifestyle brand.

I only watched this because it’s in my city, Nashville—-we have the dubious honor of having had at least 6 non-competitive reality shows ever filmed here and yet they’ve all been complete duds that no one ever watched and were swiftly canceled. I’ve had acquaintances featured in and star in all of them, and yet they’re *all* equally shitty shows with the same tired premises: boring people under 35 who either sleep around and/or drink excessively while desperately trying to “make it” in the glam world of Country Music USA, yee-haw!!

Therefore I figured Kristen Cava-whocarey would likely present a typical basic bitch take on a far more diverse and interesting city than reality television remains unable to deliver, and she sure didn’t disappoint with this snoozer: she’s every bit as pointlessly smug as she was back when she was still semi-relevant!

Only now she found an NFL player dumb enough to have multiple kids with her and buy them a big fugly nouveau riche palace across town like all the other NFL housewives.

And she’s also hungrier. No seriously, she looks like she hasn’t eaten solid food in a year. Can someone please introduce her to the beauty of Nashville hot chicken already??

Jay Cutler has the personality of a potato chip, btw. A stale, bitter potato chip. He probably realizes she has his balls tied up to her for good with those 3 lil kids and probably hates his life as much as she hates him. Although I wouldn’t want to be around that listless drip of a dude either; he makes Kroy Bierman seem like The Most Interesting Man Alive.

I could barely tell the two brunette basics “working” for her apart. One had more obnoxious eyebrows...the angry redhead was very proud to show off her tits in every scene and be deliberately confrontational. I guess she worshipped Kristen as a preteen, dreaming of being on her very own “The Hills”-style show and not eventually settling for slogging in this bile. I’ll be slightly saddened if we somehow find out she’s actually an LC fan.

Oh, and of course one of them has a Luke Bryant-looking songwriter boyfriend! He sings her generic guitar songs on the sofa and in bars and at the studio! He has big time connections with important record dudes who wear big hats so he’s going places! How convenient and not contrived at all! Holding my breath until he and the whole Cava-whocarey crowd all “get crazy” and go honkeytonking downtown like every other bachelorette party/reality show cast in town.

I'm totally hate-watching this shit, of course. There’s no other reason to do so unless we get a chance appearance by Ceiling Eyes(Audriana) at the opening of Kristen’s shop her husband bought her.

And now I miss Justin-Bobby.

Is it sad that I miss how pretty Kristin used to be?  Especially on Laguna.  She's always been tiny but the 10-15 pounds she's dropped since then have made a real difference.  Her face, in particular, was so much more full.  Now she's borderline gaunt.  Her neck and arms :/  I just want her to lock her in a room with burgers, ribs, corn on the cob, potato salad, and let home girl go to town.

As for the show, I'm struggling to stay engaged.  Jay is eh and I can't tell any of the women apart except the redhead.  I miss LC, Lo, Stephen, and the gang.  Hell, I even miss Heidi at this point.  Can they just bring the old crew back and get rid of these chicks?

As a Chicagoan, I had to at least check out Jay Cutler on this show. His grumpy, self-centered, whiny persona is perfect for reality tv and yup, seeing him sitting at the kitchen island all petulant was exactly what I expected. I could probably watch a half an hour of Jay making everyone around him miserable, only this time in Nashville, instead of Chicago. But not if it meant I had to tolerate the Uncommon James squad of ninnies.

But, no. Prodding someone to post on Instagram and constant conversations about social media does not a riveting show make. I spent half of the fifteen minutes I watched trying to figure out who is James and why is he uncommon?  A little background explanation as for the name's origin might have helped; but maybe that came at minute 30 of the show and I had already gone to sleep?

Meanwhile, I saw on the Daily Fail that they put their Nashville house up for sale. Wonder where they are going?

I might finish the episode but watch only the scenes where Jay shows up.

Kristin did say on the show that Jay wanted a new house, even though theirs was custom.

I was annoyed when Jay didn't even say hello to the Uncommon James employees when they came to his house, just glared at them like at idiot. Then when he snidely said to the (POC) waiter "duh... is there any other way?" when he was asked how he wanted his meat cooked, I was done. He really thinks his shit don't stink, huh? What a loser.

Uncommon James comes from Kristin’s daughter’s name, Saylor James. People told her James was an uncommon name for a girl or some such.

I will echo much of what has been said. I fondly remember watching Kristin on Laguna Beach when I was in high school, and I remember always feeling impressed about how confident she always seemed (key word being “seemed,” as I think back). She seems much the same in personality.

I also cannot stand her staff except for the one who works hard. All of them are annoying.

I feel differently about Jay than most do. I’m a former Chicagoan, and seeing him with seemingly no direction in life was sad. I hate seeing anyone on my screen who is so clearly lost. And I get that Kristin is busy and it’s her turn to be the main career person. I really do get that. I just think the man seems depressed and it’s not fun to watch at all. His utter disdain for Kristin’s staff was amusing, though. Me too, Jay.

I watched because KC has always fascinated me a bit. I’m worried this is going to turn into some sad version of Vanderpump Rules. A lot of insufferable 20somethings. Ugh. And was disappointed that Kristen seems to really dislike her husband, you know the one bankrolling her very nice lifestyle. I hope it’s all for the cameras or I see an uncommon divorce in their future.

I gave up on this type of reality show a long time ago, but for nostalgia's sake, I thought I'd check it out. I just cannot with Kristen and her staff. But Jay is freakin' hysterical. I will tune in just for his scenes. And I know absolutely nothing about football and only knew his name in relation to Kristen before, but he is a comic goldmine, which this show really needs because self-absorbed Kardashian wannabees are not interesting at all to me.

Agreed about Jay. As I said in my earlier post, he has an extreme amount of disdain for Kristin's team. It's not exactly polite to not greet them when they arrive, but having sat through their vapid antics for an hour, I wouldn't fuck with any of them either. He seems like the Kris Humphries of the show - he sees through all the reality show bullshit antics, calls it out, and doesn't think any of them walk on water. But his apparent boredom with life is rather alarming.

Brittainy (or however she spelled it) seemed the most professional and I loved how direct she was with the annoying redhead, whose name I won't bother to learn. The redhead, like most passive aggressive people, folded like a cheap suit when called out. I appreciate Brittainy's ability to do that. Also I loved her eyebrows. Having said all of that, all this drama is probably just manufactured for the show.

I really respect that Kristin and Jay won't have the kids on the show.

I stopped following Kristin along time ago over her and Jay's instance on not vaccinating their children as I work in a large pediatric teaching hospital, know the havoc that viruses can do but after reading the Ringer's recap, I thought what the hell, I'll watch.     Jay was indeed funny but I'm not sure if I'll continue to watch as the made up drama with the store staff looked ridiculous in the previews.  I'll probably just record and watch the Jay bits for laughs.

This is my only exposure to him, but I love a dry, deadpan sense of humor in a man, so I thought he was funny. I don't know. I know men like this. They usually have good hearts. But like I said, this is all I've seen of him, so who knows. And I really don't like women like Kristen and her "squad," so anybody who makes them squirm is a-ok with me.

Agreed. Although I will say that if he was my husband I wouldn't be pleased with how he treated the people who work for me. It's funny to watch and all, and Lord knows all of Kristin's workers are annoying, but it's pretty rude. Although that one girl who parked on the lawn would have pissed me off too.

I'm not as annoyed with him as most Chicagoans, but then I was a casual Bears fan for most of the time, and I don't really care about how much of an ass he was when he was playing for the Bears.

Saw her on WWHL last night and she was as UNInteresting as she was in the premiere episode. What struck me last night is this overly entitled air she has about her, as if her shits don't stink and she farts ?. The truth is, girl just ain't that interesting, chicks like her are a dime a dozen and she brings nothing to the table that would compel me to give her show another minute of my life's time so I guess I'm out!

Until that stank redhead gets her choppers filed down, she needs to have a seat and stop acting like she’s the hottest thing in town. If the show continues to focus on her, I’m out.

More of KC and her pretty brunette friend. They were cute and genuine together.

Brittainy (stupidest spelling ever), you don’t need to be perplexed over this “managing of personalities” issue. March over to Kristin and ask, “what’s the reporting structure in the store? Does the horse faced FC bitch answer to me?” Problem solved. Duh, you high powered “manager”.

I’ve decided that I officially hate “stank redhead” and her giant beaver teeth—-she keeps her mouth constantly open because I’m assuming she has trouble keeping those things covered, plus it allows her to be automatically prone to weird, random outbursts. She currently seems like she’s taking notes straight out of the S1 Stassi Schroeder/“Vanderpump Rules” playbook for this role she’s playing.

Also, her flirting style is gross. Pawing at a guy, making googly eyes at him and breathing out of your mouth at him like you’re catching flies is creepy.

Wirth...rich manbun douche...I guess I’m just not cool because I don’t know him and have never seen him around *any* of my local circles here. Yeah, “old money”, my ass. To his credit, he seems like a decent dude who is just as weirded out by the manufactured drama as the rest of us.

Why do all these bland white people look alike? Literally can’t tell most of them apart.

Why would you show up to unpack and stock up a shop while wearing a crop top and your long hair down and flowing?? And why would you pile a bunch of twee Urban Outfitters crap(a globe..good gravy, the basic is strong with this one) atop a communal work desk???

Meanwhile, Jay Cutler apparently still hates the world and everyone else in it, including himself. He probably pretends to look at deer photos when he’s actually watching porn. A secret porn addiction might actually make him vaguely interesting.

Kristen didn’t annoy me this episode. I’m sure that will change soon.

Wish for more Kristin/Jay and their friends scenes and way less Shannon.  Maybe some of the other workers are interesting, I do not know.  Shannon sucks the life out of all those interactions.

Wirth? why does he want to work in a retail shop?  On Friday & Saturday nights no less?

He’s a typical pretty young famewhore—-curiosity got the best of me, so I looked him up on Instagram. No wonder I’ve never seen him out and about around here, as he’s an international male model who supposedly does retail/training on the side. And he does indeed come from money: I recognized his dad, who’s the president of HCA. So he’s a rich kid who probably got talked into this gig courtesy of his modeling agency/contacts. Of course.

The rest of the cast are similar poseurs from elsewhere who blend in with all the other blandly attractive randoms who move here looking for their country-flavored LA dreams to come true.

I get not wanting to show children on TV, but I'd love seeing the "mom" side to KC...I remember when she was first pregnant, joking that she'd be glaring at the baby saying "ugh, why are you CA-RYYYYIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG??!!"  I never thought she'd be the one with three kids.

I don't blame her for hating Jay, I'm right there with you, girl, he kinda reminds me of Stassi's ex-douche on VPR.

And since when do people spell their name "Brittainy?"

This show is boring. There’s nothing that really makes me want to keep watching, other than the residual hills and Laguna beach feelings I have but this show seems to be trying to make a Vanderpump Rules thing happen here, Kristen pops up occasionally but this show is really about the uncommon James workers, however they don’t interest me, at least the VP crew is entertaining.

I find this show so entertaining in that it's pure summer fluff. I enjoy reality show that revolve around a workplace, because I get to feel grateful that I don't work with these people.

Kristin is proving herself to be out of her element, if what is portrayed on the show is truly indicative of how she manages things. Mistake no. 1 was hiring such brainless, lazy idiots, particularly the redhead, whose role with social media Kristin has described as the most important. Mistake no. 2 was being unclear about everyone's role. Idiot redhead wouldn't have reason to whine about Brittainy telling her what to do if Kristin had been more clear about the hierarchy. And if I'm wrong and Kristin was actually clear about their roles, redhead needs the smackdown in the form of a pink slip. Mistake no. 3 was adding absolutely nothing new to the world of lifestyle brands. As much as I was always Team Kristin over Lauren, Lauren clearly knows what she's doing and clearly set the standard for the type of lifestyle brands currently being launched today.

Kristin's brunette friend is annoying. She looked great without makeup during their post-workout scene.

I go back and forth on Jay. He was obnoxious on this episode. I really wonder if the weird dynamic between them is because the kids aren't on the show. I'm sure their presence changes how they function as a couple and I'd be interested to see if he's different around them. Again, it's not fun seeing him bored with nothing to do. Kristin needling him about that isn't fun either. He is absolutely right about Kristin's staff, though.

Uncommon James is a terrible name. Uncommon. Okay. James. Okay.   But together it's just nonsensical. Reese Witherspoon already has Draper James who is KC trying to fool?

Shannon and her horse teeth are insufferable.  I don't care how good her photo collages are, if one of your job duties is posting on Twitter and you're not posting on Twitter you should be fired.

I wish Jay was their boss and would make them all cry for being lazy millennials.

There was one interesting thing about this last episode: Spencer Pratt posted a hilarious live commentary on his Instagram stories. Wish I’d been able to post it all here but I happened to watch it just before it all expired for the day. Turns out KC introduced him to Heidi, so they’re still on rather friendly terms, hence his need to comment on her show.

But something about hearing the king of the reality famewhores so knowingly commenting on these losers and their lame antics was oddly endearing.

When were these shows filmed?  Cause on the interviews KC is doing now, they are renovating their new house and that is Jay's project.  I think he is a lot busier than we think or the show portrays.  I mean, you can't show him doing dad stuff if you want to keep the kids off camera.

Also, I honestly think that if you got Lauren's husband, Stephen's wife/girlfriend, Dieter's wife, Jason's wife, Jessica's husband, etc they would probably all act the same way as Jay.  They didn't appear on a reality show, they aren't used to being manipulated for drama's sake, they aren't "dramatic" trained.  They would probably all be sitting together watching their spouses and thinking are you serious/get over yourselves.

If you need the presence of your children so that you aren't an asshole to your spouse, then your marriage sucks!

As for Jay being bored, he's an adult with enough money that he doesn't have to work so he should be able to find ways to fill his time. Lots of people would kill to have the luxury of enough free time to do whatever they want, so Jay being bored makes him seem like a spoiled brat who needs a nanny to entertain him. Look, Jay! Over here!

I don't like Jay or Kristen so my feeling is that it's okay to dislike both of them. You don't have to choose one because they're slightly more tolerable for a few minutes. I have very low expectations for this show, so I actually enjoyed it a bit. I feel like Kristen sat down the employees and had a meeting on the roles they would all be playing (the ditz, the bitch etc). I doubt Kristen has worked a day in her life but she knows how to half ass play a character on a reality show. I don't know anything about her husband other than that he played football in Chicago and he was a polarizing person but I find his no nonsense surliness refreshing as it contrasts all the phonies. The show is a decent escape in these trying times.

I guess I’m watching this with the wrong spirit, because I’m getting really frustrated that they needed all that help to move boxes full of paperwork and jewelry, and will somebody please label those damn drawers??? The store is twice the size it needs to be, the “line” is a few boring pieces, so it shouldn’t be all that difficult to organize it. Maybe Man-Bun will do it? A male model who works retail....hmm.

If this was running in real time, I’d just drive over there, unpack the boxes for them, and maybe throw a “grow UP, people” over my shoulder as I leave.

Oh, wait....was that big room the office space?

I’ve tried to talk myself into stopping there after work, but every day I drive through that neighborhood, I remember how awfully annoying all these people are.

I forget that this shop is in my city, and I could literally walk there from my place within 20 minutes. It speaks volumes that I’d rather just rant about those basic morons here than to even bother with visiting them in their native habitat.

I had to watch it, because I remember LH & how it was all acting-literally. This seems the same. Her "employees", I seriously doubt are, would have been long gone in my business. Brittany seems like she actually wants to work.  Shannon on the other hand does nothing but post...sometimes.  If she has that attitude with a superior, how exactly is she on social media where people are vicious? She'd bite back, & there goes your potential customers. To me growing up in a football family with 6 brothers, Jay is not taking it seriously(just like football).  As for Kristin needing to eat-sorry but do we really need to shame her on it? I have a best friend, whom I've known my whole life. She has 4 kids, barely gained any weight. And still is about the size of Kristin. She eats anything & everything.  And no, she doesn't have an "issue". Her whole family is like that.  Whereas, myself, I look at a carrot & my face gets bloated.  The show is pretty much like all the other ones on E!, so it was pretty much what I expected. It seems very "produced".

Not watching this and from reading the responses on here, glad I decided not to! I Never liked Kristen on LH or the The Hills. From what I've read, her "friends" from LH have nothing to do with her and haven't in years. I find her unscientific and reckless diatribes against vaccinating her kids obnoxious and dangerous. Cutler has always had the reputation of being rude and grumpy...now that his career is over he'll probably be even more so. I think her need to succeed in the fashion business is driven by her need to compete with Lauren Conrad who actually has formal fashion business training and did various internships etc. with major designers and magazines. All Kristen has is her "name" which means what? Lauren has been extremely successful with her Kohls line in not only clothing but home goods and jewelry, etc. She also has other businesses and a popular website. She grew her business and brand gradually. And James isn't all that unusual a name for a girl anymore...Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds named their first daughter James and their are a couple of other celebs that have named their daughters James. And "Saylor" for "Sailor" started with Christie Brinkley and her fourth husband naming their daughter "Sailor".

And in the wise words of one of my similarly favorite website’s comments moderator:

Don’t internalize the snark.

Yeah, the redhead is massively annoying. Also, as a redhead, I hate that she said she needed an egg donor so her kids don't have red hair. She seems to have no problem with her red hair now, slinging it all over. They make hair dye if you're not fond of it teeth mcgee.

I never watched Laguna Beach or The Hills (except for clips on The Soup), so I knew very little about KC but ended up watching this after seeing an article about the ads for the show on Betches.  I have found it more entertaining than I would have expected.

Shannon is seriously annoying and entitled.  She really does think the world and everyone in it revolve around her.  Her boyfriend's cute and seems relatively normal, so I wonder how he ended up with her.

I don't know anything about Jay Cutler except he used to play football (I'm a Seahawks fan), and while he does seem rather directionless on the show, it seems that he ends up doing a lot of stuff with the kids (KC said he was picking up the boys a few times).  At any rate, I'm in for the foreseeable future.

Yes we do. Because she's a vain bitch and yes, she needs to eat a damn cookie. Preferably one high in protein and fiber.

I’ve tried to talk myself into stopping there after work, but every day I drive through that neighborhood, I remember how awfully annoying all these people are.

I live here too, so I also have considered stopping by. I'm heading out of town, but when I get back, it's on my to do list!!! I'll report back!!! :)

You guys.. please take one for the team!!! Please! ;)

Anyway... the thing is I used to love Kristen. Lb and her brief stint on the hills. But yeah.. this show is boring. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to see her acting like that her former teen and 20 Year old self but honestly we don’t see that much of her on this show. As I said I think this show is trying to be Vanderpump Rules in the sense tht Kristen pops in sometimes and we see bits and pieces of her life but it’s more about her employees. And sadly they just aren’t compelling to me or funny or interesting.

And I still don’t get Jay. I’m sorry. He just seems rude.

And I don’t know. I don’t need them to have the kids on camera, at least I don’t think I do? I don’t know if I would enjoy the show more but so far I haven’t even see Kristen doing much of anything? She sort of talked about jewelry I guess? And the actual space of her store but I think I would like to see more. All she’s done so far is tell the girls what to do (make labels)and showed up a photo shoot while they all fought with each other.
