Athena June 10, 2018 Share June 10, 2018 Quote The guests on Graham's sofa are Olympic and world champion sprinter Usain Bolt, taking part in Soccer Aid 2018, Channing Tatum, talking about his new stage show Magic Mike Live, comedian Jennifer Saunders and her actress daughter Beattie Edmondson, starring together in Disney film Patrick, and Rob Brydon, who is starring in new British comedy Swimming with Men. Plus music from Florence and the Machine, who perform Hunger. Link to comment
dubbel zout June 16, 2018 Share June 16, 2018 I had no idea there are foreign Disney movies. Usain Bolt wanting to be a pro soccer player reminds me of Michael Jordan trying to be a baseball player. Best of luck! 5 Link to comment
A.Ham June 16, 2018 Share June 16, 2018 I thought that moment when Beattie was poo-pooing make review shows, while having Channing Tatum, who was promoting Magic Mike, sat within a few inches of her was... awkward. At some point all Channing could do was hide his face while faking laughter. Yikes. And I actually don’t think she was necessarily wrong, but perhaps she could have handled that a bit more diplomatically. The rest of the show was ok, nothing too exciting in my view. That pug is adorable though. 1 Link to comment

Which is ok by me. It didn't look that good, and Saunders' daughter didn't impress me at all. Now, Swimming With Men, DID interest me. I'll probably have to wait for it to stream. 6 hours ago, A.Ham said: I thought that moment when Beattie was poo-pooing make review shows, while having Channing Tatum, who was promoting Magic Mike, sat within a few inches of her was... awkward. She wasn't very good at telling stories, but I didn't think she was saying anything to reflect badly on Channing. It sounded like she was talking about a knockoff Magic Mike-type show, and the guys weren't that good. If anything, it was complimenting Tatum and the guys from his movies. 3 Link to comment

He was so cute but really didn’t seem to like her which cracked me up, and seemed very nervous which made me sad. Graham REALLY enjoyed his dance with Channing. HA! 2 Link to comment

My experience with pugs is that, for a LOT of them, their whole schtick is seeming to not like anybody, so it struck me as just very....pug of him more than anything about her. On the one hand, I can see how that environment would easily be very overwhelming for a pug, so the nervousness was not shocking but on the other he's a trained actor-dog so it is a smidge surprising? But I guess if he only does movies or commercials, he may not be trained to be used to giant-loud-live-audience. Link to comment
attica June 18, 2018 Share June 18, 2018 I had the impression that he saw a pug on a monitor, and thought he had some competition. Like this guy. I hope Usain does well at the soccer. I do not wish to be deprived of that man in competition. I admired the tailoring of Florence's dress -- it managed to avoid clinging like the nightgown that clearly was its inspiration. (I love F&tM). 2 Link to comment

Bruinsfan July 2, 2018 Share July 2, 2018 At least Tatum is the jovial, good sport type so he didn't seem to take offense. I usually love what a comedian adds to the mix on this show (Jack Whitehall could have a permanent seat on the couch as far as I'm concerned), but Rob Brydon seemed to bring the momentum to a crashing halt every time he spoke. Does he ever do anything actually funny, or is it all dry awkwardness "humor" of the type Fred Armissen specializes in? Link to comment

I like Brydon, but his humor and energy is not the kind that does well in this format. It is dry, amusing, and awkward. He does a lot of impressions too, but he is also a good straight man with other comedians especially when as he hosts "Would I lie to you?" 1 Link to comment

SmithW6079 July 5, 2018 Share July 5, 2018 I thought it was adorable when Usain and Channing were "bro-ing" out after they shared dance movies. 1 Link to comment
