For our new posters, please familiarize yourself with the site-wide FAQ and rules.  Your mods for this forum are @nodorothyparker and @Superclam.

The Golden Rule throughout Primetimer is Be Civil.

If you're having trouble being civil to those whose posts you dislike or disagree with, we have a handy ignore feature:

1) Click your profile name in the upper right corner

2) Select "ignored users" and add their name

(If someone you don't Ignore quotes someone you do Ignore, you'll see the original post in the quote box... so the person you don't Ignore's post will make sense).

Episode threads are for discussion of that episode only.  Each week the mods will set up a "Speculation and Live Chat" thread where you can talk about the upcoming episode, post previews for that episode only, etc.

After the episode airs, a new thread will open for discussion of the episode.

The Small Talk thread is your place to talk about anything not related to the show.

As always, do not discuss The Walking Dead in detail here.

Adding because this keeps coming up in threads here.

Acknowledging the mother show is fine.  A bit of generalization or snark, say that both Rick's and the Clark family's groups have had fairly high body counts or have left trails of destruction in their wake, is fine.  They both exist in the same universe and share a character who has a history with both, after all.  That said, posts in this forum should avoid getting into detailed plot discussion or giving away larger plot spoilers for a show that isn't this one in threads about episodes for this show.  This includes character deaths or exits,  It includes plot developments from say, the past season or season finale.

Not everyone watches both shows.  Not everyone is caught up on both shows.  Posts here need to focus primarily on this show.

If you need to get into specific compare and contrasts of the two shows, please take it to The Clarks Vs. Camp Dinner Bell, a thread in this forum just for that.  Or if you're wanting to talk primarily about The Walking Dead, it also has its own forum where these same general rules apply about discussion of this show.
