False imprisonment and abuse, yes. Very bad, terrible things. And 15 months in jail. But there was no rape conviction I could find anywhere. You’ll notice that ever since the scandal, no one in the family has done a non-ATI speaking event. Either that or something to the family directly controls like Jed! And his little money laundering youth conference deal. Given how they are basically poison, and would have to face some degree of scrutiny from the public, I don’t think will see many more personal appearances. Maybe that’s why they started up with all the social media stuff all the sudden, because they can’t make a few quick thousand here and they’re doing talks or appearances or signing books anymore. But significantly fewer Gothard events as well, and certainly with fewer attendees.....and fewer Gothard DVDs and CDs of JB and M rambling on about their fabulous child raising and so on....Nobody pushing for new editions of JB"s and M's books or the girls' book any more.... Those were all small moneymakers, of course. But they did bring in some cash. And now they're all gone, or almost gone, at the same time as the number of people the Duggs' earnings must support is swelling. I'd bet that, to some degree at least, they're reeling. Good, I think we’re probably a couple of batches of grandchildren away from seeing a true crisis, and that’s without any more weddings which we know are coming. I wish we had a few more solid data points about their income and investments, because you could pretty much extrapolate out when the whole enterprise is going to snap, crash, and burn.
