Kyle's daughter has been taking horse back lessons for quite some time so I am thinking Kyle realized she was sensitive to horses.  A couple of issues I have with Kyle is this is the third time she has been without her Epi-pen.  They only work if they are available.  I think Kyle who suffers from anxiety is afraid of many things, heights, bugs, water craft, jumping in the water, and according to both Kyle and LVP she is a bit of a hypochondriac, in that a head cold is something far more serious.

But allergies can develop, worsen, or improve randomly. Kyle did say it was only in the past year that she'd come down with this horse allergy. And it, apparently, never got this bad. (I didn't realize she had an epi-pen?) LVP also remarked that while Kyle IS a hypochondirac, this wasn't one of those times; that Kyle looked BAD.

fixed that for you

Another fix.

I had meant to comment on the stupidity of Kyle's "look at me!" Chanel belt.  Jeez, the woman was known for her couture clothes and eventually perfume.  Now the company plops the interlocking CC's on everything.

Also, while Kyle might not have realized her reaction to the horse would be so bad, I think if you NEED an Epi-Pen, you need to always have it with you.

Thanks for all the helpful horse info! I’ve been on a horse a grand total of once, and I’ve had no idea.

I do, unfortunately, have a lot of experience with allergies, and what you wrote is exactly what I thought... I’ve been afraid I ate something that had my allergen in it and had the same reaction. Going into anaphylactic shock and almost dying—which HAS happened to me—is pretty dramatic and scary, and if you think it may be happening, a panic attack can happen and it does mimic the allergic experience in many ways. I won’t claim the cry baby crown, though ;)

I'm in the minority, but I liked Erika's Marlene Dietrich look. Ridiculous? Of course, but I've just decided to embrace them. Same goes for her pink wig look in Japan. The only one she really risks embarrassing is herself, and the rest of us get to be entertained. Lisa's Herman Munster shoes, on the other hand. . . what was she thinking?!? She's about 40 years too old for those.

Speaking of embarrassing, I found this group really channeling some obnoxious American tendencies this episode. Can these bitches not learn to say even "danke" and "bitte"?  It's not that hard. I was in Germany for only a week when I was 16, and managed to pick up a few phrases. The coffee shop scene was cringe-worthy. Axel at department store at least made a decent commission, hopefully. Kyle yelling at people about her allergies, first pleading that someone there must have an allergy pill and then questioning the one the guy gave to her. Jeez. To quote Ramona Singer, "Take a Xanaaaaax!" I'm highly allergic to most animals, and never quite know when I'm going to encounter something that sets me off, so I take a Zyrtec every day, ESPECIALLY when I travel. Take it before I go to bed, lasts 24 hours. No need to worry about drowsiness. I normally like Kyle but her spoiled rich girl tendencies really seemed to come out this episode. You didn't prepare at all for this?

Honestly, that dinner scene fight just bored me and I tuned out. I'm over it, are we not all over it? I honestly can't keep track of what they're fighting about.

Of all the ladies, I'd have to say I'd want to travel with Erika the most. Her openness is refreshing, and I wish we'd see it more when she's in LA. She seems to relax a bit when she travels.

Me raising my hand over here. I have never cared about any of the fights on the RH's, ever.  I like it when they get along and they show just normal stuff happening in their lives. I HATE the created drama! HATE IT!

Also, while Kyle might not have realized her reaction to the horse would be so bad, I think if you NEED an Epi-Pen, you need to always have it with you.

I would think if a person had even a slight reaction to something (dogs, cats, horses,) one would either avoid those irritants or take some kind of precaution before being around said irritant.  I've had dental patients who've told me that they had some mild reaction to penicillin as  a child, but they don't think it's a problem now.  They'll say something like, I've just gotten a slight rash whenever I take it.  There is no way in hell we'll ever prescribe penicillin to that person for risk of putting them into anaphylactic shock once they get home and take said medicine.  Sometimes a slight reaction earlier in their life puts them at even greater risk for a more serious reaction later on.  Kyle really should've been proactive on this, given that she was going to be around so many horses.  There are several non-drowsy types of anti-histamine out there.

I remember reading an article about Duchess Kate before her wedding to Prince William.  She is allergic to horses too, so she had to take meds the day of the wedding since she was going to be around all of those horses during the carriage ride.  I'm picturing her 'pulling a Kyle' and standing up in the carriage yelling "I'm not okay," and then jumping out and running away.  (I don't mean to minimize Kyle's panic attack.)  Seems like the production staff would carry some sort of first-aid kit with basic items like Benadryl and/or an Epi-Pen whenever they're filming in remote locations, or where they aren't familiar with where the local doctors/ERs are.

What really seems to be getting lost is that Kyle's allergic reaction wasn't severe enough to need an EpiPen.  She was not having a life threatening allergic reaction to the horses.  She was having a panic attack.  Epinephrine would have just made it worse.  Yes, she should have taken some allergy meds beforehand, but she didn't expect her reaction to be that bad.  I have mild allergies.  I carry OTC remedies with me when I travel and in Kyle's case I probably would have taken them, but maybe not.  If I was just expecting to have itchy eyes for a couple of hours I might have opted for that over taking something because if the pills don't make me sleepy they make me super thirsty.  However, I would have had some on my person and once I realized it wasn't just my eyes being a little itchy I would have taken them.

The horse review.... Ponies are notorious scoundrels.  When the pony pawed at Kyle even before they left it showed it's true colors, it wanted a treat,  or attention, or to move it was agitated before she got on. That pony needed a pack leader/confident individual. The pony had Kyles number as soon as she backed away from it pawing. Being the smallest does not always mean the quietest safest ride. Ponies are commonly cute hellions it's a bait and switch.

When Kyle's pony kicked at the spotted one Rinna was riding and Kyle and Rinna did not make an immediate correction all bets were off. Equines are herd animals and when they can see their rider is below them in the pecking order  (letting them get away with murder) the equine takes liberties because they know they are over their rider in the pack.  Well naughty ones anyway. It's a little like teenagers, and pups keep the boundaries strong !

I would bet a million dollars at the point in time when  Rinnas agitated pony (after being kicked at by Kyle's) "took off" they were almost back to the barn . Or on the way back . Horses go low speed away from the barn and pick up the pace on the way back.  Every time . After these bitches kicking at them and jabbing in the mouth all afternoon they had HAD IT. And knew they could get away with dragging their ladies back home.

Teddi did 10000% the right thing to get it under control and calmly.  If Teddi had rushed up upon them on her horse ALL of the horses could have ran. She did the right thing.

If that ever happens to you dear reader do what Teddi said. Feet out in front and lean back shorten up and see saw til they stop. If they are going backward though don't do that do the opposite give give give. And don't go riding on vacation!

LVP has a very classical seat she has a great base she's clearly had good horses and instruction, and mileage riding in her younger years. She holds her reins very softly and correctly, she has good soft hands, head up, legs underneath her. She rides like a middle aged woman who now rides recreationally walking and trotting and an occasional canter . LVP has neither the need or desire to be on a performance horse or the ability like Teddi who can ride anything including young green horses. But you can't take away LVP has good classical basics and goes slow.

Kyle is a cry baby. That was 10% allergy and 90% anxiety attack.

You never cease to amaze me-thanks for the equine lesson.   I was curious why Kyle picked the pony-closer to the ground?  I would have been worried about the littlest one trying to keep up.

Although Teddi and LVP love to ride-I think it is something that would be better done as a group close to home.  If for no other reason it would save the ladies a costume change.  By the end I was just relieved no one was injured.

I agree about Kyle's anxiety attack.  Kyle reminds me of someone (and I am looking at my son and mushrooms(figuratively) ) who claims they are allergic to a food because they dislike it.  I think when Kyle is fearful she comes up with an allergy or illness.  She also used the allergy as a reason to be rude to Dorit.

Chiming in...I am still learning English and panic when I lean too far forward and the horse takes it as a cue to go faster, I am trying to get my confidence up to trail ride, (no jumping ever). While LVP may pull up to her barn with a horse all tacked up waiting for her she still has to talk the talk when she is riding, she looks like she knows what she is doing but it is not very sporting to wish a fellow cast mate's horse runs off/out of control...I know what happens when a horse returns to the barn riderless, it does not end well.

LVP's comment was a joke-just like Rinna's comments about LVP's advanced age.  There was nothing to indicate in the moment LVP wanted a runaway horse incident.

Who rode Kyle's pony back to the barn?  Didn't she get off the pony and get on the bus early?  At least Rinna stayed for the ride.

Ha thanks, and Teddi is well qualified to "pony " the riderless pony home.  She would put a lead rope on the pony or unhook one rein from the bit using the rein as a leash essentially and the pony would follow her by her side while she is mounted. Ponying is what is done as the racehorses are escorted to the post parade for the KY Derby etc . You've all seen it done. It's called ponying!

Didn't she say at one point that her throat was closing up?  That's the kind of thing you don't won't to hear a person say if you think they're having an allergic reaction.  I guess she's lucky that they didn't have an EpiPen, just in case somebody panicked and stuck her with it! My former boss stuck himself in the hand while changing out the office EpiPen.  His hand was numb for hours!  I understand your point though.  Kyle could've saved herself some trouble if she would've just taken some meds beforehand, or opted not to go.  IIRC, didn't she say that if she didn't go she'd miss out on some serious FOMO (fear of missing out?)  I could be remembering that wrong.  That could've been someone else's line.   It wasn't too smart on her part to be around a barn full of horses knowing that she had an allergic reaction to them before.   If I was allergic to poison ivy, I wouldn't be wallowing around in the weeds with it!

Thanks for explaining all of this to us!  I've been on a horse 2 times in my life.  I fell off one time, and nearly did the second time.  I do much better by standing outside of the fence and just petting the horses or feeding them apples! I love to watch them, but  I would definitely need lessons before I got on another one!  I thought the guy who did the ponying for American Pharoah when he won the Triple Crown was one lucky guy (besides the jockey!)  How cool  would it be to be a part of that!

Okay-of course, I have seen a rider have a side horse-like in a western when someone is hot and they keep the horse.  Cowboys are easier to find than good horses. Thanks for answering the obvious.  I was kind of hoping they put the producer on the horse who thought it a good idea to take allergy/panic ridden Kyle on the ride.   This is how I picture the equestrians on this thread and I mean it in the most flattering sense: - https://www.pinterest.com/pin/352828952033449243/   Ride tall one and all.

The tell for me with Kyle was when they were in the bus and she didn't want anyone sitting by her.  As if they were blocking her oxygen intake.  Faker.  It kind of reminded me of the Yolanda days with all the special attention needed.

Kyle said that whoever sits next to her needs to take off anything that touched a horse. She didn’t say that she didn’t want anyone sitting next to her; they just needed to keep their distance if whatever they were wearing would trigger allergies again.

Exactly, she was running around and talking fine.  The feeling like she couldn't breathe and chest tightness was panic attack.  A panic attack is basically a big surge of adrenaline -- i.e. excess epinephrine.  An EpiPen would have just amplified the panic attack.

I am sorry but I think telling someone to not get too close if they had contact with a horse and to not sit by her are pretty close.  I never said Kyle asked anyone to stay away from her.  Not one person removed anything except perhaps their gloves and helmets, if they were wearing them and they managed to get fairly close to Kyle.

I was being literal in my interpretation of what you said, simply stating that Kyle did not literally say that she didn’t want anyone near her. It’s really not a big deal.

So true!  When I was a teen I had a bunch of horses and never got nipped or hurt.  But while visiting family friends, their GODDAMN Shetland pony took a hard chomp on my left breast.  I was horribly bruised & sore for months, and seldom wore a bra thereafter.  I never went anywhere near another pony.

I was amused that all the ladies had such proper riding outfits.  Pretty sure some of them will only get one use out of those duds.

Bam! Ponies can be such boobs yuk yuk yuk sorry that happened to you! Kyle's pony needed a spanking (a good swat) when it pawed at her AND when it kicked at Rinnas pony and probably the other 10x it tested Kyke off cam. Didn't happen.  Them the wheels came off. That's funny because I think Kyle dresses wrong for her shape, and tends to look cheap.

For as pretty and slim as Kyle is, she almost always wears something inappropriate either for her coloring or her petite stature (sometimes both).  And there's no excuse for it.

I thought everyone who spends good money on clothes knows skirt hems should stop at the middle, or (for petites) at the top of the kneecap, pants one inch above the top of the foot (unless they're skinnies - should end at the ankle), and jacket sleeves should end at the wristbone.  Anything longer looks like you either don't know how to dress yourself or you're wearing someone else's clothes.

I sometimes have to buy things in misses sizes because the item isn't made in petites, but then I know to take them to the alterationist before wearing them.  With Kyle's money, she should have the alterationist on speed dial.

@Sasha206 - absolutely agree about the fugly golden brown coat.  It looked like she was wearing a bear costume or something -- concealed her figure, making her look tres dumpy.

I thought Ericka looked ridiculous at the dinner party channeling Marlena Deitrich. Girl bye. Sitting in a hotel room with all that makeup on, the lipstick was too harsh, and the pants made her look like she was carrying a load of poop. Not flattering at all. And I do find her to be a beautiful woman, when toned down.   I don't find it cute that she wastes her spouses money all on makeup, glam squad, shoes purses, high end clothes. Where is her forum for a charity. She could do so much, but prefers to be on a never ending ego trip. Its weird, she's getting old, and she needs to find a new shtick other than glam squads and writhing around stage with legs akimbo.

Lisa Rhinna had the WORST raspberry shiny lipstick.  She needs to keep her fish lips undercover (if that's possible) in nudes only.  I have enjoyed her much more this season, but I took a pause as she outed her daughter's severe anxiety. Her daughter (regardless of questionable talent) is trying to make it in the modeling industry, and I found Lisa blabbing out her neurosis to be a gross violation of personal information. Not cool.

Loved Teddy taking control on the horses. She was calm and I believe helped quell a potentially dangerous situation. So nice to see  her in her element, and I enjoy her quiet beauty and no nonsense demeanor.

Kyle drove me nuts on every level. Going for the horse outing when she knows she's allergic, then taking an allergy attack into a full blown panic attack, ruining the entire groups outing. Then once again crying to LVP about her not sticking up for her, wah wah wah. How many years do we have to put up with Kyle on LVP's nuts with the same needy argument? LVP was so polite as they sat on the bench, and you could tell she just wanted out. LVP's Chanel coat was adorable as were her red sunglasses.

Finally Dorito, please please go away Dorito. The fake accent, the ongoing pot stirring, the convenient lapses of memory, the stupid wigs.  Just fade into the distance.  As much a PK can be a bit icky, I actually think he is the better partner. Dorito clearly enjoys the nose candy, attention, conflict, and she thinks the show is a personal runway for her fashions and forum for her kevetching. Shut up girlfriend, we see right thru you, and its not cute. And you can't sing.

I agree, LVP looked completely over it.

I will admit that LVP is one of the housewives I relate to. Not about everything, but I do sort of get her emotional core and I felt like her reaction to Kyle was one where she was about to take a giant step back and let Kyle become a friendly acquaintance. I’ve been there where I went through months of being a friend’s punching bag and once I had enough I just let our friendship cool to a pleasant friend-ish sort of thing. No big blow out, not even a huge change in the logistics of our friendship. I just stopped telling her much about my life or my feelings. When we do get together I just let her talk about herself and smile. I swear she barley notices the difference (because she is as self absorbed as Kyle), but it’s less stressful for both of us. Honestly I don’t need the same level of attention or loyalty or whatever the fuck I was doing wrong so I don’t even try to pretend our friendship is a 2 way street. I think Lisa is about to do this to Kyle. Kyle may or may not notice.

I was really interested in the story Rinna was telling about Delilah and her post-strep anxiety. How Harry would wait outside the school for hours. That was oddly fascinating. I always enjoy these shows more when there's more of a family element and not so much petty drama.

Considering what is in the "news" today, Delilah has some serious anxiety issues, and seemingly other issues, as well.  It seems to me that Lisa and Harry indulged her when she was young, and now she cannot handle life.  I know there is a fine line between indulging and caring for, but from that story and what is happening now, it all feels off.
