Usually by now I have a favorite but it took me till now to pick one. Juan for  the win!  He's by far the least douchey and he's got some chops.

Has Nunez been sharing around his collection of beaded Golden Girl necklaces? They've strayed over to Anthony as well. In fact, necklaces for men seem to be the new earrings for men on this show.

As much as I (childishly) enjoy seeing DJ lose, I did think his team's wax art was the best. I wouldn't have picked Anthony's team to win but thought they did their grove of trees well, for what it was. Twin tower heartstrings or not, Steve's was ugly to me.

I was personally bummed to see Daniel leave because, noob or not, I would have enjoyed seeing what he turned out in the finale when he could focus on his strengths. His brother's death must have been a fairly recent tragedy since he knew about Daniel trying out for Ink Master. Sob stories from contestants on reality shows often make me impatient, but at least Daniel didn't drag it out in front of the judges (that we saw). I sincerely wish him well in life.

Seems like a larger than average percentage of tattoo artists have a lot of turmoil, substance abuse, and hard times in their past.

I thought DJ's looked very good but given that it was a composition challenge, having a face with some butterflies didn't really show good composition.  Which made it even more amusing when they kept slagging off the composition of Steve's art.

I have noticed in the last 3 episodes that they telegraph who is going to leave.  If after the tattoo critique they show an artist's back story, they are guaranteed to go.  It happened to Frank, Fame and now Daniel.

I swear to jeebus that the producers ask these people to request the most ridiculous mixture of things for tattoos.  "I want a hippopotamus riding a unicorn wearing a gimp suit pulling a Barbie Corvette through the milky way in full color Japanese style."

Now that you put that out into the universe, SOME MORON will show up in a future season with that exact request...and I can't wait for it!

It’s so obvious how rigged this show is. The second I saw that two teams had two people and one team had three, I knew it would be one of the three to go. It’s obvious the finale will have one person from each time. 

That anchor was so crooked, how did no one point it out?

Yeah pretty convenient that the teams evened up again.

I still don't understand that tattoo, is the octopus meant to be wearing the diving helmet?
