Tara Ariano March 23, 2018 Share March 23, 2018 Quote To save him from Farmer Parsons's shotgun, Laura takes a cantankerous billy goat in trade for doing chores for Mrs. Parsons, names him Fred, and finds, much to her dismay, that mischievous Fred is trouble. Link to comment

wanton87 August 24, 2018 Share August 24, 2018 I happened to catch this episode for the first time, a few days back. It was kind of funny the way that Laura deceptively pawned the troublesome Billy goat off on the dimwitted Willie, with the selling point of “there’s nothing like goat cheese”! Willie certainly would have been in for quite a surprise (and a quick lesson in biology as well) the first time that he went to milk that thing :D It was actually a rather humorous episode, as Fred sends a good many of the denizens of Walnut Grove, soaring into the mud, ponds, and a variety of other messy mediums, with one of his super head butts. It was also a rather heart warming episode, as we see that Laura genuinely cares for Fred’s welfare, and the story has a happy ending. 1 Link to comment
scowl August 30, 2018 Share August 30, 2018 Of course the real life Pa Ingalls would have put a quick end to this story. 1 Link to comment
wanton87 August 31, 2018 Share August 31, 2018 (edited) I would have liked to see television Charles take a crack at Fred as well. Fred’s well seasoned head vs Chuck’s itchy trigger fist. My money would have been on Fred. One good slam to the mid-section, and it would have been curtains for ‘Ol porcelain ribs! Edited August 31, 2018 by wanton87 wording Link to comment
