Austin (Devious Maids) will play Jason Wilkes, a quirky, yet charismatic scientist who instantly charms Peggy — and potentially becomes her new love interest? “We were impressed by Reggie as soon as we met with him,” Loeb says. “He has a unique ability to be handsome and charming while also being extremely accessible. We knew he could portray a character whom both audiences and Peggy would love.”

Cartinelli fans, rejoice: EW has learned exclusively that Lyndsy Fonseca will be returning to Agent Carter in season 2 — but there’s a big twist that involves a crossover with Dancing With the Stars.

The Nikita and How I Met Your Mother alum will reprise her role as Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) friend and confidante, Angie Martinelli, in a dream sequence, which includes what is sure to be an epic song and dance number.

There are further details about her appearance at the link but I didn't want to quote them as it's very spoiler-y.

I have to admit I'm disappointed that evidently we're only getting Angie for one S2 episode.  :(

Wait, so we're getting both Sousa and Thompson as full time characters, but only one episode of Angie? That... quite frankly, that sucks. I would much rather have her than either of those two.

I also don't really care about meeting Jarvis's wife, because I'm already anticipating people either hating her or thinking they've seen signs that Jarvis will divorce her to marry Peggy.

Agreed. I absolutely love the camaraderie between Peggy and Jarvis but I do not ship them romantically because Jarvis is, by all accounts, a happily married man. I don't need to see Mrs. Jarvis since the show has done a good job portraying Jarvis's relationship with her as a nice, normal contrast to his extracurricular, crime-fighting activities. Keeping his "civilian" life constantly in the background to the craziness of Peggy's world makes Jarvis a much more interesting character as he tries to juggle them both.

I feel like the one voice in the wilderness that wishes Angie was gone all together.   Her and Peggy eventually grew apart and send christmas cards every year.  For me that's perfect.   I didn't dislike Angie intently, I just found her very uninteresting.

I love the actress that plays Jarvis's wife, she was in The Borgias and Outlander.   So I'm already predisposed to like her.   I also got the impression that she and Peggy would grow into a friendship of their own over the course of Season 2.

Also glad to see Everyman!Sousa.   And makes me aww to see he still makes heart eyes at Peggy.

I love that the synopsis of Ana Jarvis describes her as Peggy's friend as well as Jarvis' wife. And I love the Peggy/Jarvis relationship just the way it is. But I think Ana might end up filling the void in Peggy's life that's open with Angie not being around.

To quote the late, great Col. Hans Landa, "That's a bingo!" The showrunners have said as much.

When will we see more Dottie on Agent Carter?  — Tristan
Very soon, and you may be surprised to hear that Peggy may actually use Dottie in her cat-and-mouse game with Whitney Frost — though that doesn’t mean she can trust her. “Dottie has no empathy, and that’s incredibly dangerous, because it means she’s sick,” Hayley Atwell says. “However, Peggy can’t deny that she can be extremely valuable. They both know, under the surface, this is a game of psychological warfare between them.”

Are we allowed to speculate in the Spoiler thread? If not, I'll delete.

Do we think that Tommy Lee Jones is going to show up at some point? Winter Solider had Colonel Philips picture along with Peggy and Howard clearly marking them as the founders of SHIELD. Presumably that means when Peggy and Howard get around to this, they'll be getting back in touch with an old ally.

Or did were they just paying tribute since he held start the SSR, SHIELD's forerunner?

I don't think Jones has any particular attachment to the property that would lead him to give the show the kind of discount that, e.g., Samuel L. Jackson did to make his appearing on Agents of SHIELD viable (and even then, his roles were cameos).

While I agree that Jones does not have the same attachment to the property as Jackson does, I could see him coming in for a day to shoot a scene or two for scale if it fit into his schedule.

On that note, my understanding is that Jackson and Smolders did AoS for scale and that Renner has publicly offered to do the same if it fit into his schedule.
