Relative Success With Tabatha - General Discussion

I felt like in this most recent episode that Tabatha focused on Cece's wants rather than Joost's in that Tabatha told Joost that he had to get more involved in the business when he already had a full-time job and was financing Cece's business on top of that.  Although this episode had a positive ending there was a lot of tension over the niece and whether they should keep her employed or not.  Kind of sums up all of the family businesses that Tabatha has visited in this series-just because someone is family doesn't mean they should work in the 'family' business.  One can still love, support, and cherish family without working with or for them.

why do the adults expect their children (or the next generation) to be a part of the business?

CeCe - you will get reward one day  for raising your niece&nephew. Let the reward for now be from from the years you shared raising her and know cannot pay you back by working in YOUR store. Your acting like they OWE you. And admit, you didn't raise your niece to take the reigns and build a life for herself independently of you.

expecting a 21 who has stated by voice and actions she wants to do something else is ok. Let them go do whatever - mainly go get educated. Join the service. Go work at McDs.. 21 is time to fly off.. Kristen is 21 - she doesn't need a part time job to have a few bucks in her pocket. She needs to be building towards something.

if they want to be part of the business later, when they are mature enough to take it seriously, fine, if not let them be. Then her husband states they need to have a reduction in force, to make the numbers look better, and CeCe has an issue firing someone who doesn't really need to be there?
