Steve and CJ announce plans for a destination wedding, and DJ sends Jackson to summer school. Stephanie and Jimmy suspect Fernando is up to something.

Just watched the episode. Nice to see Gia again and her daughter is in summer school with Jackson so I guess we might be seeing more of her this season.

I watched this episode before going to work (on lunch, now).

I liked this a lot. It was kind of a dick move for DJ to not tell Jackson he had to go to Summer School until the day he had to start.

It was funny how she kept trying to make it up to him, by giving him a steak sub, an entire pumpkin pie, and a $50 iTunes gift card for lunch, and his favorite pizza and  an ice cream cake later on.

It's a good thing John Stamos is a great actor, or else I wouldn't have been able to finish the episode (and seen the good ending). It was just not good, in terms of the plot and the writing in general.

First off, the stupid gag at the beginning where Jimmy/Fernando have made a mess of the kitchen and Jimmy didn't think DJ would mind. It's not like Jimmy's new in the family. He's known DJ for multiple years. That was just a stupid line to include in general. Also, apparently Jesse has gotten worse as a parent, because they had him basically inept at doing anything. I mean, the last few minutes helped save the episode a little, but still. I don't know why we needed a paint by numbers episode to get to the end.

I will say the ending was very sweet. Also, baby Pamela is so cute. She might even be cuter than the Olsen twins for me.

I did find myself chuckling at the Gibbler house. It looks crazy. I can't wait to see the rest of the house. I also love Matt. He fits in so well; I loved him being scared of ghosts. I'm going to be so disappointed when DJ inevitably breaks up with him for Steve. Hopefully, he doesn't disappear after that, because he's truly great. Plus, he isn't written as creepy or obsessive over DJ, unlike Steve. Also, the actor is definitely attractive to look at.

Maybe I'm just noticing these inconsistencies with the show.

Now did anyone really think that this wedding was gonna go off without the leftover feelings coming up? DJ ending up wearing CJ's dress was like a giant anvil falling.

It seems to me that Gia needs to get her priorities straight. Rocky does not even recognize family affection.

Does anyone have a cage for Joey's kids? How could he let those kids act that way? It's like he never helped raise DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle.

I almost cried when the Dr gave Stephanie the news. Now, we just need a Gib-Tan wedding to make it all complete :)

I understand Stephanie not wanting to throw too much at Jimmy too soon, but she should have at least talked to him about it. I'm glad Kimmy was a blabbermouth on this one. He made the decision. The only thing missing was a Gibbleriffic proposal (I'm waiting as patiently as possible).

DJ.... You don't know what you've done now. If only you knew that it was Steve that you were spilling your guts to. I wouldn't want to be in his position right now.

Poor Matt. He's planning a surprise proposal and his girlfriend is pouring out her feelings about her ex...to her ex.

By the way, I didn't see CJ on the plane. I wonder why she would take a different flight than her wedding party. Medical emergency?

I'm very entertained by Rocki. I like her a lot more than I liked Lola. Maybe it's her dry sense of humor and the fact that she's been saying everything that I've been thinking. However, she needs to tone it down on every single one of her comments being snarky and downright mean; they did start this episode, at least. I'd like to see a softer side to her. Also, I'd like to hold off on the inevitable Rocki/Jackson pairing.

I rolled my eyes at DJ trying on CJ's dress, not because of an actual wacky twist, but because "why not?". Seriously not looking forward to CJ/Steve's wedding being ruined by this love square drama.

Seriously, Matt fits in so well with the Fuller/Tanner/Gibbler family. DJ doesn't even need to be around and it works. Hopefully he'll just stick around forever.

At least Joey knows how his kids are monsters. Too bad we probably will be stuck with watching these kids continue to be monsters, as I don't think it'll stick to their next episode. They're truly awful kids. I do like that Kimmy and Joey got to have a subplot together. That was a nice change.

I was happy that they didn't reverse the infertility plot with Stephanie, but they also gave her a little bit of hope with being able to have her own biological kids through surrogacy. I was very touched by the storyline.

The opening was not good. That yellow outfit with the owl may be the best thing Kimmy's ever worn. It's weird but it works. I liked Stephanie's "I hear you talking about me" when DJ feared Jackson would be mooching on her couch forever. Tommy's cute. Rocki's not wrong about the murder potential. Realtor was fun. "I've been shot four times, this is nothing."

Hopefully this is the end of Popko. What a slimy jerk.

I'm very understanding of Stephanie's dilemma. But wouldn't he be involved anyway if Steph's planning to have a kid? I mean, I get the idea; if Jimmy's not the father, then if they ever break up, it's a lot easier. But as of right now, Jimmy would still be the baby's dad, just not biologically. So it would still be a lot. It is good that Kimmy blabbed to Jimmy, so at least it's also his choice.

I didn't like the whole Buzzfeed quiz scene. Matt's a great guy; maybe he's not right for DJ, as much as I want him to, but I just didn't like how they made it look like Matt was failing each of the questions. In any other scene, Matt would have passed those questions. But because they needed a contrived way to make Matt fail, they had it play out like this...especially with Steve coming in right after. And then Matt coming in right after again to pass. I didn't find it funny like I was supposed to.

I'm guessing CJ flew to Japan earlier to get ready for the wedding. But man, her heart is going to get broken...or they'll have her surprisingly and unrealistically fine with Steve/DJ. Again, all assuming that they break them up during the wedding. And poor Matt, as well. I mean, I guess the good thing is that Matt still works with DJ so when they inevitably break up, he probably will still be around.

DJ lied. She has done a live broadcast before. Or has she forgotten singing "Lollipops and Gummy Bears" to Michelle on the telethon? Oh, Max. Don't you know you're supposed to do the Mentos trick with diet soda? "Why am I lying to a dog?" I kind of like that Danny got divorced. Maybe he can get back together with that woman he almost married on Full House.

I feel like they must be reading the boards, because the lack of Eva LaRue has been noticed. Whether she didn't want to do the character anymore or they realized they couldn't keep a "name" on contract who would only appear once or twice a season in a pretty limited part. No one referred to Teri as Mom or Grandma so I guess his marriage was pretty short-lived.

well they were best friends since what? they were 12? I'd be more amused that Kimmy didn't.

My thought was, "Of course she did." DJ is such her father's daughter.

Mentioning this here because Rose was in this episode, but pertains more to the season in general:

I totally forgot that Rose was CJ's daughter. I don't think Rose and CJ shared a single scene together this season. I couldn't remember if Steve and CJ were part of the clean pie eating contest (you had DJ/Matt, Stephanie/Jimmy, Kimmy/Fernando, Jackson/Lola, Ramona/Tommy, Cosmo by himself, and Max/Rose).

Ditto.  I never understood how Danny (and Joey for that matter) had midlife crisis and married younger women.

I don't get how those bratty kids didn't get punished for taping Max up behind the door. It was all just forgotten.

I also do not understand how it's so important for Stephanie to think about a baby NOW.  She doesn't have a job, no stability or place of her own. It's not the right time for a baby. And for gawd's sake - it's 2017.  You do NOT need a baby to complete you.

I think the issue is the contrived drama with the fertility specialist telling her that she needed to have a baby now....without letting her know the option of freezing her eggs so she can have a baby down the road. Before this episode, Stephanie's expressed interest in having kids but she thought it was never going to be an option to have her own biological kids, so the urgent need to start thinking about it now wasn't necessary.

What they have established well with Stephanie is that she's not just wanting a baby to complete her. She just wants to be a mom someday because of the time she's spent with DJ's kids. She's lived out a lot of her dreams before the series, with living in London and becoming a DJ. Now she's old enough to start settling down. She should find herself a job first before starting to plan for a baby. But again, contrived drama of neglecting to mention the egg freezing option.

Joey I think makes sense. He's immature, so I can see him falling for someone younger than him and starting a family. Although now that I'm looking it up and seeing his wife is Stephanie's age it does seem more odd than I realized.

I'm enjoying Rocki, too. I think it helps for Jackson to have a character he can kind of spar with who is not his defacto sister.

This is my unspoiled spec- Matt will move in with Jimmy and Fernando. It'll be kind of like Friends, with the Gibbler house becoming the "boy" house.

Are we supposed to think that someone who is as petite as DJ would be able to to fit into a dress for the much-taller CJ? Anyway, I wish they'd just get this over with since it's been readily transparent since the first season where this all was going. It feels like a waste of John Brotherton, though.

They still haven't said why Stephanie can't get pregnant. Is it her uterus? It sounds like she has functioning ovaries. Maybe she went into early menopause? She's about 34. I heard of someone who went into it at 29.

Knowing the 90's sitcom vibe of this show, I think she'll get a surprise baby at the end, right after she gives up and adopts.

According to the fertility specialist, she has a few viable eggs left, but she also can't carry a baby. So it could be a combination of premature ovarian failure and something wrong with her uterus. Hence using a combination of IVF and a surrogate.

Spoiler

Episode 9 I think established that Jimmy would be the donor,

and I suspect the back half of this season will entail finding a surrogate.

It'll be Kimmy. Phoebe Buffay carried her brother's twins so I can see there being much of a yuck factor.

i don't know about American schools... can you just.. sign your kid up like summer camp in regards to summer school?

I feel like schools are so localized that it's hard to say it wouldn't happen somewhere. I think some schools do have some sort of summer enrichment program so I guess I buy it.

This episode seemed slow and like it was a lot of set up for what's to come. I kind of hate myself for not seeing it coming that Fernando and Jimmy moving into the Gilbler house. Of course they would. For a moment I thought Kimmy might moved all the way next door, which would have been the logical step.

I never liked Gia. They kind of glossed over that she had to have known her kid was apologizing to a Tanner/Fuller when she drover her to the house.

I'm of the opinion that if their ultimate goal was Steve/DJ they never should have created Matt. I'd be on board with the nostalgia reunion if there wasn't an arguably better (or at least just as good) option available and interested. I'm also not buying DJ and Steve's grand love, other than as tptb trying really hard to mash the nostalgia button.

I also think John Brotherton fits well into the rather zany Full House universe without being so over the top; at least they toned Steve's crazy down this go around.

I'm still holding out hope that something happens and DJ decides that Steve isn't all that, but based on the end of this episode ... I'm going to go mourn the loss of Dr. Matt.

Maybe we're supposed to think Jesse was having so much trouble because he's older and slower? Because he helped raise Michelle from when she was a baby and then he raised the twins. But people don't always have as much energy in their fifties as they did when they were younger (or so I hear). It seems like a bit of a stretch though.

Baby Pamela screaming when he fell asleep (and then laughing at him) made me laugh. That was really adorable, I wonder how many takes it took to get the baby to do it.

Did we know last season they named the baby Pamela. It just occurred to me while typing her name that she's named after DJ and Stephanie's mom, but maybe I already knew and forgot.

Can't remember which episode (maybe the last one) but it was mentioned that Jesse and Becky were going to name the baby Pam.

As a Steve fan, I hope they do end up with putting DJ and Steve together. That said, I see Matt as a definite asset to the show. Maybe he can find someone. I did notice during the karaoke that he and CJ had a similar reaction. I might be reading too much into it, but anything is possible.

Jimmy and Fernando moving in together works for me. After all, Fernando was Jimmy's brother-in-law.

I agree with Mr. Flight Attendant. We need to see Jimmy's rock hard abs again.

Overall, this is good, harmless nostalgia fun. 9 short episodes was bingeable quite easily. If this was any other show, I would have a lot of gripes about the storylines (DJ being with Matt when she's in love with someone else seems especially cruel and self absorbed; I think it would have been much more interesting to have a Steph look for fulfillment in other ways since she can't parent, but we get a completely predictable fertility arc instead). But it's a Full House reboot, so I have to remind myself not to take it too seriously.

I had read that the season was 18 episodes and settled in for a nice long binge. Imagine my surprise when I got to episode 9 and that cliffhanger and then tried to hit the next button only to find that was the LAST ONE! What are you doing to me Netflix?

I'm #teamsteve all the way.

Luckily this time of year flies by, because I'm going to need to get to December and that back 9 ASAP!
