The Real Housewive of Beverly Hills is back for season 8, and PEOPLE’s got the exclusive premiere of its explosive trailer.

Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump are all back for another round of action after the hit Bravo show’s record-breaking seventh season — as is original Beverly Hills Housewife Camille Grammer, who starred in the show’s first two seasons and returns this time in the Friend of the Housewives role.

Joining the fray is new Housewife Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, daughter of music legend John Cougar Mellencamp. Married to husband Edwin Arroyave with two small children and one stepchild at home, Teddi works as a fitness accountability coach and blogger for her site LA Workout Junkie and appears to waste no time getting into the drama.

“Some of these women make it very hard to feel at ease,” she says in the trailer, adding, “I’m not going to back down when I know I’m right.”

Damn it, I am hyped for this. I've watched a little bit of OC but I haven't been all in on a season of the RH since this past season of NY. Looking forward to getting my snark on. 

Teddi already seems like a one and done.

Production is usually able to Frankenstein together an exciting trailer through misleading editing - even season six featured some ostensibly dramatic excerpts like Tom appearing to throw Lisa out of a dinner. 

But this was perhaps the most snooze-worthy preview yet. 

Erika has become a parody of the Capitol in Panem aesthetically speaking. 

Evolution makes consistently poor casting choices.

She just said that she is going home to her husband because he would rather spend time with her than they would, so unless there was something cut out they really need to tone down their fake reaction shots.

Isn't the trailer supposed to entice viewers to watch the show? Damn that trailer was coma-inducing! And premiering a week before Christmas when ratings are usually low? Doesn't look too good for this season..

I appreciate the luxe aspect of their lives but it's not enough to endure an entire season and they're not funny or interesting enough like NYC so I could get passed a drama-free run.

I wonder what it would take to make Andy kick Rinna off this show?  She honestly just ruins it for me.  The fakest of the fake.  That pose in the above picture with those lips,ugh, and I guess we're having her two daughters shoved down our throats....  I don't know if I'll be able to watch this season :(

Agree there is no one really quirky or funny like the majority of the Ny ladies...or even Shannon season 9 and 10 of the OC.

 

Are there no fun people in BH?  If love if the show cast someone that was a vegan, bohemian, and just enjoyed life but also had a biting wit so that LVP could finally have someone to trade barbs with that would keep her on her toes.

I re-watched the Dubai episodes. Bravo re-ran them and my DVR picked them up. I have to say I watch BH for the glitz! The Dubai trip was amazing and I did enjoy that season. Last season was a sleeper. This season has me wondering who Rhinna will latch on to since Eileen is gone. I'm guessing she will be stirring the pot even more to make things messy for others.

There is no real wit or anyone funny on BH. It's why LVP was the breakout star. She's witty, has lots of money, is over the top, and does crazy rich lady shit. It's actually remarkable how unfunny the BH cast is. Even the least funny cast member on the other shows manages to intentionally say something funny at least once a season, but not BH. I know that most of the wives have become friendly with wives from other cities over the years. BH really does need to have wives from other cities visiting on camera. I found Yolanda to be her funniest and most engaging when she was in NYC with Brandi having lunch with Carole and Kristen.

I found Kyle to be much more fun in the first few seasons, even when I hated her for being downright mean to Kim (calling her an alcoholic) and Brandi ( egging Kim on to do things like hide Brandi's crutches, and when both sisters were all pointing fingers in faces mad,etc) but now after Mauricio is a major real estate mogul it seems like she's afraid to act any way but 'proper' on the show.  It's a shame because I thought she was funny with LVP at times, both seem to have the same snarky humor.  I'd love to see the private Kyle, the ones with her friends in real life. I'm sure she's fun to hang around with and very snarky and funny when she knows the cameras aren't filming. 

I'm not looking forward to Lisa Rinna AT ALL.  She is only fake soap operating it up for camera time.  And I could use a season free of Erika Jane.....  I don't mind the real Erika, she doesn't seem to have a problem showing her real side at times-- and love it when her rich hubby shuts her down (although I hate to admit that) -- it just shows the real side of her life. 

I rewatched Season 1 and holy cow was that a good show!  It makes me miss what once was...

I wasn’t really looking forward to this season but OC was so bad this year maybe this one will amuse me enough until NYC comes back. Oh, and looks like a lot of travel porn! One good thing is no Kim this time.
