Yep!  It was a wonderful moment!  I wonder if she'll get her ass kicked by TPTB for that?

????

Damned merge!

Oh, wow, along with her "I'm trying to act like an adult and it's killing me" demeanor, I notice Shitstreaks has on just clear nail polish tonight.

She's sooo uncomfortable.  I'm loving it.

Shitstreaks is trying to act grown up, but it's obvious she's ill at ease with Martha.  She was a condescending douche to Kimberly, the OAP, when she introduced her like she was a child - "Well, hello, sweetheart."

Although, Kimberly lost points when she said "Manhadden".  Ugh.

And the Shittish let the cat, that we've all long suspected, out of the bag when she said, "This is not the Q's watered down versions of these products."

This really added to my knowledge of the mask - "Do you answer the door with this on?"

Couldn't agree MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, often times I'm wondering what skin care product to purchase based on if it would frighten the FedEx delivery away. Shawn's questions are just so smart... said NO ONE EVER!

Even more than the loathing before this is *like everything loathing*.

Same here.  There are not enough words to describe how much I loathe her and her stupid, immature antics.  She repulses me.

Holy crap, I missed that one. She really said that on air?! The producer must have been unleashing a stream of cuss words into her earpiece.

With that said, are the skincare lines they push diluted versions of what you'd find in Sephora or Nordstrom's? How do they get away with that?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that some of those ginourmous sizes and special configurations of lotions, potions, creams, etc. that "can't be found anywhere else" could be different formulations.

Gunthy Renker changes the formulas of the stuff they sell so why wouldn't the Q "water" them down?

I just Googled the subject and there was a topic thread on QVC regarding the jumbo sized Peter Thomas Roth retinol serum. Someone looked up the ingredients of the Sephora version and found that it was a different configuration than the Q version. I think that's really crappy on both QVC's and the vendor's parts to mislead customers like that. As much as I loath Shawn, I'm happy she spilled the beans.

I love this SK topic!  I love the title!  I think it's gonna get a lot of traffic.

Damn.  I had no idea Martha and Skunks were on together tonight.  Must have been totes ridic.  I'll definitely be tracking down Q's vids for that show.

I haven't found that, although I don't order much skincare from QVC.  But other cosmetic things, I do order from them.  The product seems to be the exact same thing, performs the same way, the difference I've found is in packaging.   Which is not a huge deal, because you typically get more of that product from QVC than you would in a retail store.  That's probably how they get around it.  For example, Bare Minerals product was a slightly different lid than the ones you could buy in a retail store.....a textured lid vs. a smooth lid.  For Josie Maran products, which I've only purchased on QVC, I've heard the body butters come in glass jars at Sephora (don't know if this is true) while they are plastic at QVC.  I wouldn't want a 20 ounce jar of goop in a glass jar anyway!  Laura Gellar - same product/packaging as Ulta.  IT - same product/packaging as Ulta - though the brushes are different (and I think lesser quality) on QVC.

The only weird thing is WEN.  It's been reported that WEN product at QVC is a different formula - thank goodness, because it's supposedly not the formula that made people's hair fall out.

I just had a perfectly reasonable post about Shawn, removed from the Q board for being disruptive. WTF. They are so protective of her. I didn't even criticize her, .I just said you can dislike her as a host and still lead a happy and productive life. It was gone in a trice.?

Stay here.  We have cookies.

They have to protect her.  By "protecting" her, they are protecting themselves.

It is not an indication of her value as an employee.  Any employee that creates a disruption in any way is not a team player and just might end up without a sweet-ass paycheck.

Oh, I will stay here, cookies or not ( but I love cookies ) I still post there out of habit, and there are some decent people there. The assholes that drive me batty, are the ones who think you have psychological problems if you don't like a host. I must learn to walk away when I read them and come back here where sanity reigns.

I think buyer's remorse has sunk in regarding the kid. I don't doubt that she loves the kidlet, but I think that it's really hit her now how her life has changed, how she is no longer the center of her particular universe, how she's the main breadwinner, and how long she's going to have to live with it. She's probably feeling like a mouse in a maze.

Biggest thing?

You cannot just pick up and go any longer.

I think she is missing that ability. The Irish train trip was her last hassle free trip for two.

Gosh darn it!! Sounds like I "missed" out on the Skunky and Martha show.  I would have liked to have seen the "chemistry" between them.

She's not disappointing though. I'm watching her wrap up the final presentation of the TSV.  The way that she's giving the hard sell, I'm assuming they haven't sold as many of these as they anticipated.   No doubt we'll be seeing plenty more presentations of this item in the multitude of "Gift" themed shows that I'm sure are already scheduled......BTW, there's only six more weeks in case you might have forgotten.

Looks like being on her best behavior with Martha must have exhausted our Speshial Snowflake.  She's been sitting on the couch with her legs and shoe/bootie tucked under her.   I guess when she was growing up Mother Skunky didn't have any sort kind of rules about putting ones feet on the couch while wearing shoes.ooooooooooooooooo.thumb.jpg.2d6f270a3f2a2078a07ad0279550b9f6.jpg

From the very beginning of the presentation she told Janine several times that "I'm not going to move off this couch, so you can go ahead and give us the colours".   Then she took a page out of Blabby's playbook and told us how her "Pop Pop" so appreciated having a Sunbeam heating wrap when he was "dealing with the cancer."

She managed to drag herself off the couch for a quick second when Janine insisted she get up and model alongside  Lon and Mary.  She couldn't stop turning around to admire herself in the monitor.  Then immediately back on the couch and leaving Janine alone with the dress form to fend for herself.booney3.thumb.jpg.22e26b90a39d531aa2a9634975e7f73e.jpg

She finished up her wonderful presentation saying that she "could no longer broadcast a show where I just sit on a couch, as it probably isn't entertaining to watch (OK what have you been doing for the last 30 minutes?) and doing so was just "cheaping out" on her job.  (We get it, its time for you to go home).  One more whine about having to "walk out to her car in the cold"  (guess the Q doesn't offer the Speshial Snowflake valet service unlike that store at the mall that does.  Perhaps she can negotiate this perk into her next contract).

Geez.

She's really flaunting it now. Right in their faces. Almost daring someone to do something.

All part of her master plan.

I wish qvc had Colombo on their side to take her sorry ass down.

Patience, qvc, patience. Sure hope they are documenting all this. Can't believe they don't have enough on her yet to boot her already.

The expression "giving someone enough rope to hang themselves" comes to mind.

You are absolutely absoluty right about this!  The first thing that hit me when we had our first son (decades ago) was that very fact.  I couldn't even hop in the car (as a passenger even) to ride to the store to get milk.  We were young, almost poor, in the Air Force (hubby was) and getting out for that ten minutes was "fun" as it got me out and about, but after the baby I couldn't even do that - well, not on a whim anyway.   That's actually one of the things that entered my head when Shawn became a mother.  She's very used to a more free-wheeling lifestyle.  Then there's the 'center of the universe' thing.  And the breadwinner thing.  Wait for it - she'll be going out on a post-partum depression leave pretty soon.

I caught 3 minutes of her & Martha last night while Golden Girls was in a commercial. I was uncomfortable because it was clear that Skunk was uncomfortable. Martha kept talking while Shawn tried to interupt and I was rolling! Shawn clearly did not know how to navigate Martha. It was a good thing.

When I went to bed, she was on with the heating pad lady. SPRAWLED OUT on the couch like Cleopatra! I figured it was because she had to stand for Martha's presentation and also because this is her way to regain the control she lost while on-air with Martha.

Missed her last night because Joe wanted to watch the MASH marathon (for Veterans's weekend). But as I watched, especially the character of nurse Margaret, as she took down the loafers, idiots and phonies around her, I couldn't help but wish ol' Shunky was one of her nurses at the end of one of those take downs. LOL.  Skunky needs a major take down from a nurse Margaret or Colonel Potter there in QVC land. Probably never gonna happen though...

Anyone who can post a moment or two, I'd appreciate it. Not that technically inclined, myself.

I suspect this new forum may approach the million mark in relatively short time. ha.

So true.  Her usual immature antics are her way of showing she's the boss, as in "Look how comfortable I am, how large and in charge", but she can't do that with Martha.  Martha is always in charge.  Shawn's nerves must have been shot to hell when that segment was over.  Then it was back to showing the next piss-ant OAP that she was calling the shots by basically taking an on-air break while the rep did her job for her.  I feel the need to use the word loathe in every single post about that nimrod.  I loathe her.

The wise, experienced hosts know how to adjust and adapt to different guests, like with a junior OAP... they remain themselves, but tuned slightly.

Shawn curled up into a ball and withered... not a chameleon, but one of those slug creatures that roll up.....not the Queen Bee last night but just a worker drone eh?????

Narcissistic injury/humiliation is a thing and she had a case of it after Martha last night (they tend to wilt when they aren't receiving "supply")... she had to toe the line and it showed...

First off, no shock Shawn said this.  She has zero filter and once again shows she doesn’t give a shit about anything.

I have read posts over on the Q board about this...seems to be numerous issues with the PTR line. I have always been lerry of the super size products and will continue to avoid them in the future.  So thanks for actually being useful Shawn...LOL!

No, no...interesting story about Martha, but no. I don't buy for the fraction of a nano-second that Martha respects Shawn.

Martha may want the paycheck,  but Shawn NEEDS hers.  Big diff.

Comparing the two insults Martha.  She at least worked, with some intellect expended to get to where she is.

Geez, I might be in the minority, but I thought Martha and Shawn worked well together. Perhaps they genuinely respect each other or they are both very good actors. Whatever it is, Shawn needs her paycheck and Martha needs hers and they're both too smart to indulge in petty behavior on-air. They presented the products well enough, and were both cordial and professional.

Nice post but Martha's body language said it all.

It has nothing to with "what it is".

It has to do with Shawn being willing to allow another contestant to be fired when she is the one that volunteered to be fired if her team lost.

At that point in Martha's career, she had to call Shawn out as the lying fake she is.

That "fake it until you make it" bullshit out of Killinger had nothing to do with what she said and did on The Apprentice.

You may want to re-watch Martha's explanation to Shawn on why she was fired.

Shawn volunteered to be fired and she got her wish. Martha has no respect for Shawn and deservedly so.

Martha effed up but she went to jail without a whimper. Shawn sat there and tried to sell out a fellow contestant, squirming to try to get it to spin her way.

Martha had her number back then and Shawn is the same, if not worse, now.

At her core, Shawn is lazy. No way in hell would Martha ever respect that. Like Basso or anyone else, playing along to get along is a requirement. Martha conducted herself accordingly while Shawn was way off of her lame game.

That's not Martha's problem in any way but Killinger needs to step it up.

One problem though.

She doesn't have the ability.

To me, here's the discernable difference : to Martha, making a living, and yes....., a GOOD, WELL PAYING LIVINGis a serious thing and not a joke.

To Shawn, it's all a joke, requiring no real effort or thought.

Which do you want a daughter to emulate?
