Someone over at the previous board called EVine the SkinnVicta channel -- or something like that.  Very clever!  My apologies I cannot remember who it was.

I love me some Tiffany style lamp porn.  I do not need to buy any - I have about a half dozen - but I do enjoy watching the shows and marveling at the designs.

But 2220 dollars???  I know the pigment for the red glass is the most expensive, but for that price, I would want old Louis Comfort to hand deliver mine.  lol

I'm so glad to see an Evine topic!  There really is a lot to snark about with them, especially some of the hosts, more even than HSN perhaps.  HSN has become the most "normal" of the shop channels (a far cry from their Tootie days).   -   I can find plenty to  snark about with Evine but yet I shop with them.  Go figure.  I am lured like a moth to a flame when Blabbatutti is on.  I'm a ring-a-holic.  I need a 12 step program for that.  Their clothing lines are more stylish and better priced than the other two big channels, and their Waterford (made in Slovenia line) is good.  I have wine and tumblers of theirs and love them.  Plus their website is easy to navigate.

On the negative side, they must import Invicta watches by the boatload (maybe they're made here; don't watch, don't know) because they're always on and they hold zero interest for me.  Then there's crazy Dimitri with his Skinn line and Pompous Scientist Manuela with her overpriced Isomers.  When either of those two are on it's just days and days non-stop of them yammering on and on (more like lecturing in Manuel's case.  At least Dimitri is fun).

All in all, I actually turn their channel on and watch Evine more than those other two because their hosts are the least offensive.  Please note that that's a back-handed compliment since all the hosts everywhere leave a lot to be desired.

Just my two cents here, after discovering a dedicated Evine topic and learning all the new options here now.

So funny, @Ladyrain!   I will watch for fashion, Skinn (sometimes; losing my belief in the product and Dmitri), sometimes home stuff like sheets.  I don't have a lot of faith in their fashion lines.  They usually are less expensive, but I have had a difficult time getting the proper fit.  I like two of their "fashion experts," can't remember their names right now.

I don't know the "fashion experts" names either, but they just don't annoy me the way, say, the D & C one on the Q does.  You didn't mention jewelry in your  post; do you watch any of those shows?  Michael Vallatutti (Gems en Vogue) is kind of a love him or hate him guy; he gets so excited about all his joolery that  his voice gets higher and higher like he got his balls caught in a folding chair or something.  It's kind of fun to watch (and it also doesn't take much to amuse me).

I don't watch much jewelry.  There is one vendor (a guy) who I enjoyed especially when paired with the woman host who unfortunately passed away.  They were so funny together!  He has some earrings that are named after his daughter.  He is funny.  I don't think it is Valatutti.

I am a major watcher of the shopping channels- maybe not so much a watcher but a background watcher. I agree that Evine fashions seem so much more reasonably priced. I have been tempted but not actually bought anything. The prices are way more realistic. I am a big TJM shopper and when I see prices on the Q for example of $59 and higher for a decent top, while I know that's not cray cray in my world that is insanely high.  Yes I know that is what RETAIL is for many items but reality tells me I would see it for $29.99 on a mediocre sale and most likely 19.99.

So my point is after all my rambling- Evine would probably have it for 25.99.

The catch is always  adding the shipping and then the major issue for me is that I never know what size I am. I am anywhere from a medium to XL. If there were more uniformity in sizing (not just on tv shopping but all over) I would certainly be buying online and even consider tv shopping a lot more.

Chuck Clemancy. And the earrings are called Kelli Ann.  He’s interesting to me also. Who was the host who died?

Connie Kunkle.  I believe she had early on-set dementia, or some condition like that.  Her on-air time at the end was uncomfortable to watch and I am loathe and embarrassed to say that I thought, when watching her then, she might be tipsy or under the influence of something.  I had no idea what was really wrong.  Upon reading more about her after she died, she apparently was such vibrant, loving woman.

Tonight Tiffany Style Lighting returns and I enjoy seeing their selection especially for the holidays.  Oh joy, they're having a Poinsettia design http://www.evine.com/Product/468-013?icid=OnAirToday-_-GIFTS+FROM+TIFFANY+STYLE+LIGHTING-_-468-013&cm_re=OnAirToday-_-GIFTS+FROM+TIFFANY+STYLE+LIGHTING-_-468-013

Oh no!  Look at the Holiday Price of $2200.00.  I don't think I'll be buying it anytime soon.

Eeks!

I enjoy LOOKING at the Tiffany Style Lighting that Evine offers, but have to say some of the designs they offer are, what's the word? adolescent?  gimmicky?.  Tiffany lighting in and of itself is unique and lovely, and stands alone in its beauty.  Some of the designs on Evine just look less sophisticated than I care for.  I'm sure I'm just being too picky, but I am picky.  YMMV

Thanks, @Ladyrain, for remembering Connie's name.  I got a kick out of her too; she had a quirkiness that appealed to my silly side.  She and Chuck were a hoot together.  Very sad about her early death.  There was discussion on these boards about a change in her behavior;  you weren't the only one who, at the time, thought she was drunk.  I'm sure no one suspected she was ill.

I think Michael Valatutti is the jewelry guy whose voice hurts my ears.   ?

Oh yeah, I can see this happening.  He gets very excited and his voice goes up an octave.  But I'm still caught in his web of joolery.  Hep me!

Hi Thumper!  That was moi, and thank you! :)

Every time I turn on Evine, it seems I always see Skinn cosmetics or Invicta watches.  More times the latter, but I thought the two names made a good combo.

I love the Waterford shows on Evine, even if I don't buy often. I did get a really nice set of ornaments last year that was a TTV, and have bought a few other pieces from them.

As a heads up, they are having Waterford shows from Ireland this coming Sunday. I'll have to record the first two, since they are on at 4am Alaska time (8am Eastern). I hope they have an interesting TTV, but it looks like it's a Dimitri weekend, so they may or may not. Evine does often do more than one TTV (sometimes several), so we'll see.

Really dumb question since I rarely watch Evine:
Are most of their shows "repeats"?  I tuned in around 7 EST this morning and the show was previously aired as was the next one...

I think a lot of the late night and early morning shows are repeats from earlier.  I'm surprised a 7am show is a repeat, but after looking at their  "On Air Today" listing on the webpage, it looks to me that they run repeats from 2am until 8am Eastern. At least, the items for those shows exactly match items on earlier shows.

ETA: Evine does have a Waterford TTV, but it's a footed bowl, and I don't have any use for something like that, so I'm safe, since I didn't see anything on the upcoming show info on the website that catches my eye, either.

Yes, as near as I can figure it, they air repeats in the middle of the night until 8 a.m. Eastern time.  They're live at midnight, not sure about 1 a.m., but after that they don't go live again until 8 o'clock EST.

Hi MichelleAK!  GMTA!  Didn't mean to step on your toes with my post.

Did Thomas Kinkade start out on the Q, or am I imagining that?  His pieces are now on Evine, with his brother hawking them.  They're not my cuppa, exactly, but I do appreciate some of the cozy, cottage-y scenes.

I almost never watch Evine, but fit some reason I had it on this AM., and they had some really cute Fitz and Floyd Christmas things. I had to turn it off, because I don't need any more dust catchers.

I think I remember Kinkade being on HSN, but I am not 100% certain on that one myself.

Oh, you made me look! I like that over the top Renaissance pattern. I'm tempted to get the place setting (just one, for me, since I don't entertain at home).

Also, they now have the Waterford icicle ornaments as a TTV. I saw them over the weekend, but they were over $100 for the set. Now, they are under $60.  I'm tempted to get those to go with the snowflakes I got last year.

Yes.  Thomas Kinkade did start out with QVC.  Remember the shows they had from his home in Carmel with Dan Wheeler usually the host.  Then the scandal erupted http://www.readthehook.com/93982/news-dimming-light-galleries-claim-kinkades-fraud   and he got the boot at QVC.  He then went to Evine and then made a short stint with HSN but looks like he's returned to Evine for an encore scam from beyond the grave.

I'm sorry, but this Evine host and her OAP are straight up faux losing their shit over the Waterford.

ugh

That was Jorge with the Queen of Waterford at Evine, Melissa Miner.  I don't watch much live on the shopping networks but I do enjoy seeing the Waterford shows especially those live from Ireland with Tom Brennan and Kathy Norton who is one of the best Evine hosts imo.  Jorge was all over the place on the shows with not only Melissa but all the other hosts who had to endure his shenanigans.  I usually love Jorge because of his incredible ideas of what to do with the different pieces of crystal, but not this time around.  That didn't stop me from buying some Christmas Waterford gifts for myself, family and friends especially with the holiday prices they have.  Waterford is one of the BEST bargains Evine offers!

I don’t watch Evine that often. I usually peek in if I’m flipping channels and there is a fashion channel or the occasional Paula Deen show. They try, but I don’t see the quality of the lighting and such that I see on it he other shows. It also doesn’t help that whenever I watch, either Erin or Kimberly is hosting.

I'm glad that so many of you enjoy the Waterford.  It's completely out of my wheelhouse, but I'll watch anyway when they aren't overbearing.  I felt it was overbearing today.

Isn't HSN's "It's fun here" or something like that?

I'm sure we could come up with some doozies for the Q.

I also didn't realize Evine even had a motto.  For some reason they haven't grated on my nerves yet.  Yet.  It must be a holdover from their ValueVision days.  I used to really enjoy VV.  I still reminisce about their awesome price-per-gram 14K gold.  Those were the days.  Evine's Kendy (blech), Skip Connelly and some chick with the Woody Woodpecker laugh whose name escapes me are the only Evine hosts still left from VV, I think.  Plus Pam McCoy and her fake furs.  I wonder why she's not an Evine host, since she's there already.  i suppose I should be thankful for small favors.

Beekman Brothers on now.  Love the recreation of their "mercantile" on the set.

The cookies look good.  Their cookie jars are cute, but they are big!

I recently stayed at a place that had Beekman bath products.  I liked the bar soap and lotion; didn't try their shampoo.  Would consider buying the lotion.

I was just about to come on here and snark that they have on a ColdSHoulder pleated top with bell sleeves. It looks ridiculous inivory but then they go and show it in scarlet on a white haired model and truth be told she looks good. She might be the only one who can carry it off but honestly she looks good.

It's a Vanessa Williams top 735-179.

So I am not running to buy it not to worry but but but it does look nice on one person in the world at least.

I ordered two colors in two different sizes.  Wish me luck.  It's an updated look for a reasonable price.  I have not had a lot of luck with Evine's fashions but they hook me back in now and then!
