@Cricket, if you're reading the boards, I'm just wondering how you're doing.  If you can, let us know how you and Joe are.

Tip: if you @mention a member, they're more likely to see your post. Like so: @Cricket

To @mention someone simply type the @ symbol and begin typing the user name, a menu will pop up and the user you want can then be selected. Please note: For the @mention to work you must select the username from the pop up menu.

Is the old Small Talk thread closed as well?  Just curious.  I wanted to snag a copy of some of @Booney 's travel pics.  I hope she will be rejoining us soon. I am missing the Jen-imations.

That Small Talk Thread is still there and accessible. It's for the entire "Genre Talk" thread. We were using it the most.

Here's another pic: A Kitty Christmas

Yeah, where is @Booney?  I'm also missing @Cricket, @quickjessie, and @Honey@MrsThaxton disappeared again, too.

Thanks for the shout-out, @Denver Hoosier and @CarpeDiem54! I'm here, but have been slow to return to the forums. After our vacation, I've been spending time getting caught up on my DVR'd shows, household stuff, etc. Just wandered over to the Shopping Channel forum for the first time in many days and saw the new format. You just might see some a post or two from me before the night is over.

Glad to see you!  I figured you might be resting up from your Booneymoon.  Vacations can be exhausting.

Definitely - we did a ton of walking...and eating. I’m not sure which one is more exhausting!

Just posted some Humblebragisms in the Hosts subforum.

Thank you so much for the heads up about that!  I am so seriously tech challenged and appreciate all the help I can get.  I often wondered why some posters used the @ symbol but was too embarrassed to ask.

I find that I have a problem using that "@ member name" procedure on my Fire HDX's Silk browser. I can't type anything after it because it becomes garbled and the @name keeps duplicating itself. ?

this forum isn't that tablet friendly,  most of my spelling/grammar errors happen on the iPad

It's another beautiful day in the mid-Atlantic region - low 70s yesterday and similar today. Almost warm enough to catch some rays...

We are having unusually chilly weather in MN, even for November -- 30's.  I had to dig out some mittens and earmuffs.  Heard it will warm up later in the month, though.

Autumn is slowly arriving in the Sacramento Valley. It's still about 53 degrees in the mornings, with a high of 67-70 degrees. It's about 5 degrees warmer than usual this year.

AAaaack! Not a hit. Definitely a MISS. The last one is the Statue of David. I don't see that as being acceptable anywhere.

My last (comfortable) day to clean up the fallen leaves and mow for the last time.  This with only 50% or less of the leaves down.  I see snow mold in my future.  ) :

I hear you and I'm not ready.  We had our first city leaf collection and there wasn't even anything to rake!   Next one is in a couple of weeks - am hoping all the leaves are down by then.  The cold temps got here too soon.  I still keep hoping for a one day warm up.  I have perennials that need to be cut back!!

I got that done a couple of weeks ago (don't have a lot to cut).  These leaves though...

I love jigsaw puzzles!  I usually do one in the winter.  Almost time ...

@Fishy previously gave us some online jigsaw puzzle sites that are great.  I use Jigzone every day because I don't have to register or download anything.

I'm thinking that denim designers have run out of ideas.  Bless their hearts.

Good grief - mom jeans with a knee window. What will they think of next - low-rise jeans with a crotch window?

If I were you, I'd hurry on up and apply for a patent.  Before one of them does.

I'm down the shore doing probably the last wash-a-thon of the season. ?

It's sunny, but only around 56F outside. I've got the clothes on the line and there is a breeze so hopefully they'll dry.

and another thing - Now I'm starting to see commercials with Oprah shilling her food line.  Has anyone seen it on your shelves and have you tried it??   Please share.

PS&BTW - I personally don't dislike Oprah as mightily as some.

I do really appreciate the free Meditation Experiences she and Deepak Chopra have created/endorsed and have participated in many.

This sounds like it would be fun -- Downton Abbey The Exhibition

I went to a Downtown Abbey costume exhibit in 2014 at Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware. It was really interesting and well worth seeing. This new exhibit looks like it’s much more extensive than just costumes so would be even more fun.

Little Man (my grandson) said "I love you, Grandma" today for the first time.  If he didn't already hold my heart in his little hands, that would have done it.

Another wild day in college football.  This year has been full of surprises.  You don't dare miss a moment.

I saw a bunch of Cuddlduds items at Kohl's today, at good prices.  They are featuring that brand for Christmas in case anyone is interested.

Thanks! I am.  I bought the CuddlDuds Fleece PJs from QVC and LOVE them (I'm always cold but these are the answer to that and yet I'm not hot.)  I remember when the only CuddlDuds things you used to see being sold at Kohls was the long underwear stuff.  I'll have to check them out.

ps&btw - I've never watched a football game - ever!!  I'm one of those..... ?

I thought not watching football was illegal in Michigan and Texas.  lol

As a former lady jock, I watch most of the sports. It's the girly stuff like the Hallmark channel and Lifetime, or all the daytime talk shows,  that  is out of my wheelhouse.

Fortunately there is something for all of us.

My husband liked football, but not as much as me.  In our house it was him asking me to turn off the tv and do something with him on weekends!  He was a football widower.  hee

when I was younger I thought sports on TV was either boring or stupid

now not so much,  as i sit watching a golf match from godknowswhere

sports really gives people a common bond or bridge to chat about then branch out to something else

, never realized that when I was young

Kohls has a coupon right now for $10 off of a $40 Cuddle Duds purchase.

Since I'm always finding myself fixated on background music in TV commercials, for those who might be doing the same about the Galaxy Note 8 commercial with the girl writing "I love you", it's a Peggy Lee song, "Similau":
