That Small Talk Thread is still there and accessible. It's for the entire "Genre Talk" thread. We were using it the most.

Thanks for the shout-out, @Denver Hoosier and @CarpeDiem54! I'm here, but have been slow to return to the forums. After our vacation, I've been spending time getting caught up on my DVR'd shows, household stuff, etc. Just wandered over to the Shopping Channel forum for the first time in many days and saw the new format. You just might see some a post or two from me before the night is over.

Thank you so much for the heads up about that!  I am so seriously tech challenged and appreciate all the help I can get.  I often wondered why some posters used the @ symbol but was too embarrassed to ask.

I find that I have a problem using that "@ member name" procedure on my Fire HDX's Silk browser. I can't type anything after it because it becomes garbled and the @name keeps duplicating itself. ?

We are having unusually chilly weather in MN, even for November -- 30's.  I had to dig out some mittens and earmuffs.  Heard it will warm up later in the month, though.

Autumn is slowly arriving in the Sacramento Valley. It's still about 53 degrees in the mornings, with a high of 67-70 degrees. It's about 5 degrees warmer than usual this year.

I hear you and I'm not ready.  We had our first city leaf collection and there wasn't even anything to rake!   Next one is in a couple of weeks - am hoping all the leaves are down by then.  The cold temps got here too soon.  I still keep hoping for a one day warm up.  I have perennials that need to be cut back!!

@Fishy previously gave us some online jigsaw puzzle sites that are great.  I use Jigzone every day because I don't have to register or download anything.

I went to a Downtown Abbey costume exhibit in 2014 at Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware. It was really interesting and well worth seeing. This new exhibit looks like it’s much more extensive than just costumes so would be even more fun.

Little Man (my grandson) said "I love you, Grandma" today for the first time.  If he didn't already hold my heart in his little hands, that would have done it.

Another wild day in college football.  This year has been full of surprises.  You don't dare miss a moment.

I saw a bunch of Cuddlduds items at Kohl's today, at good prices.  They are featuring that brand for Christmas in case anyone is interested.

Thanks! I am.  I bought the CuddlDuds Fleece PJs from QVC and LOVE them (I'm always cold but these are the answer to that and yet I'm not hot.)  I remember when the only CuddlDuds things you used to see being sold at Kohls was the long underwear stuff.  I'll have to check them out.

As a former lady jock, I watch most of the sports. It's the girly stuff like the Hallmark channel and Lifetime, or all the daytime talk shows,  that  is out of my wheelhouse.

Fortunately there is something for all of us.

My husband liked football, but not as much as me.  In our house it was him asking me to turn off the tv and do something with him on weekends!  He was a football widower.  hee
