But I do think he's there because the Duffers wanted to give us their amped-up version of the 80s bully. Of Kiefer Sutherland in Stand By Me, of Josh Brolin in the first half hour of The Goonies and Johnny from Karate Kid. Yeah all the 80's movies and Stephen King books always had to have some kind of super douche. I kind of hope his only reason to be in the show is to be Demogorgon chow. She's such a brat when she tells Lucas about Dustin calling and she does his lisp. She cracks me up. Link to comment

Yep, that's my Steve! :-) I forgot how good and creepy this episode was. Will was so good at setting the trap for the monster to get back at the soldiers for hurting it. Poor kid, he didn't want to hurt them but had no choice. He even talks different now the monster is in him. LOL Steve giving Dustin not only advice about girls but hair advice too. Billy looks to old to be in school. The He-Man toy took me back to when my daughter and oldest was crazy about He-Man and She-Ra, they had all the figures and the castles. My son had the He-Man sword and carried that on his back everywhere. They were a lot younger than Lucas though. And I remember that crap was expensive even back in the 80's. 1 Link to comment
smartymarty September 22, 2022 Share September 22, 2022 So "The Spy" of the episode's title is the monster inside of Will? Surprising how much guest space the conspiracy theory guy had. Creepy to stay over night there, though, especially with him feeding the kids vodka. 2 Link to comment
