I couldn't even finish it tonight

Peggy, I just want to slap her! You don't know what I've been through!. Oh fer gods sake you've been on about it for weeks already! Her scrunched up pouty face, and does she own a bloody brush? And that bright pink lipstick, and was she wearing a coat all through dinner?

Miss let's all go to Iceland is a Pita, Tamra on all sides enjoying the pot being stirred. Oh and Vicki getting drunk and YELLING, is not stress..

Ugh!

Peggy's diploma from UCLA must be as fake as Brooks' medical records.

Well of course she was, that's what Armenians do.

The problem with Peggy is she talks bassackwards like Yoda. I need her to under stand Luggage is plural already and doesn't require a S on the end. I am calling her a liar for her lack of understanding of common idioms as well.

Why could Meghan not have had the psychic that said that Brooks did not have cancer?

Maybe he can only be on once per season and he was already on as Tamra's guest at drag trivia suggesting that Vicki would turn on Kelly.

Peggy: "Who's going to carry my luggages?"  Whether you have one piece of luggage or 20 pieces it's still luggage not luggages!

She knows that, its her attempt at not knowing English, even if Dick says she was in America at the age of one. Pair of frauds.

Peggy: I"m not American. I'm Armenian.

Peggy saying that reminds me of when a racist lady told me I wasn't American because I was Middle Eastern (I have to admit I was impressed she at least guessed my ethnicity correctly even though she thinks it's a nationality). *facepalm*

Going against the grain, but this was the first episode I liked Lydia, Peggy, Mehgan, and Kelly.

Shannon is a hot mess.  I dislike Tamra most times but I appreciated how she talked to Shannon about how she is handling her emotions regarding David.

What is with Peggy's pursed hot pink lips? I need sunglasses. They're a bit too bright for my taste (don't think that it matches well with her skin and hair coloring).

Megans too... who tf did their makeup?? All of them look like clowns...megan's looked like she tried to outline them to make them fuller and turned out looking disgusting....peggy looked old and haggered, and shannon was a disaster!!! She looked like a sweaty, smeary, dirty mess at that dinner!!

The best part of this episode was the old Family Vaaaaan clip!

Yes! Not to mention the look back at her evolving faces and various fright wigs over the past decade.

I'm looking forward to Iceland. Both for the scenery, and the small glimmer of hope that  somebody will push Lydia off a glacier.

Good grief! Is Vicki pretending to be a good Xian now? I still remember her inviting someone over to do horoscopes and how super excited Vicki was when he told her she was a "triple fire sign" or something like that, which explained her acting like a maniac.

If nothing else, I thought Shannon's reaction to the very clear-eyed counsel of Meghan and Tamra illustrates how deeply unwell she has become emotionally and psychologically. As huge fan of the way in which she dismantled Tamra and Heather's sadism during season nine, her consistent nuttiness this year has actually made me second-guess my perception of that whole imbroglio.

Whether it's her husband, coworker, and/or friend, she is abjectly incapable of handling even the most constructive and helpful criticism ... or, really, anything less than adulation of the vow-renewal variety. Her default seems to be "oh, so you're saying it's all my fault, huh?" outrage and indignation no matter if it's David clarifying his behavior at her request or Tamra giving pointers on how to more successfully navigate the provocations of their cast mates.

From my perspective, she relishes the role of martyr in her own way as much as Vicki retcons herself into an aggrieved victim. And as far as her sudden epiphany about the fact that she can't let her relationship define her self-worth, I'm all for growth and edification but, seriously, she's just now waking up to this revelation in her mid-fifties (and it remains to be seen if she'll actually do anything substantive about it or just fall back into her drinking and sobbing)?

Even when I initially grew tired of her constant crying over David stepping out on her, I always thought that she had a rational take on matters like CancerGate.

But she's been full of shit since the bus ride from hell: David never admitted to touching her (even though he plead guilty to battery of a cohabitant); she never blamed Vicki for her weight gain (even though she's done so multiple times); and, now, the myth that David was just suggesting specialists to Diko.

Geez Louise.  Peggy is just awful. It was precancerous, from my understanding.  My mom has had precancerous spots removed and we would never dream of saying that she had cancer or "lucky to not be going through chemo."  Her argument with Shannon is completely illogical and over the top. Her husband was just asking some questions.  How weird.  Someone showing concern for another person.  Let's go off on them!

I need Lydia to go away.  I get that she was brought back to defend Vicki which she takes as going after Shannon for absolutely no reason but come on, try to at least be not so obvious at it.  Try to wait for an opportunity where it isn't obvious that you are there just to start crap. And stop playing the Christian card while instigating shit.

3mm of a 25mm of a largely precancerous had turned into actual cancer. Which (to me, in my layman's understanding; correct me if I'm wrong) suggests the remaining 22mm was in the process of turning as well. In the context of her mother's early death and her preventative mastectomy, I don't think her fears are unreasonable.

"Over a span of ten years, I scheduled mammograms and MRI’s every six months, my doctor found a mass in my right breast in the MRI. The immediate response to this news, was to schedule a biopsy. Despite being negative on the BRCA gene testing, the biopsy revealed pre cancerous cells [DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in situ)] within my right breast. Few weeks later, we scheduled a surgery to remove the 25 mm of mass, and sent the mass to the pathologist. In a matter of weeks, I was told that of the 25 mm removed, 3mm of it was already cancer.”

Ok, so DCIS is still considered precancerous. It could later develop into cancer but it is so slow growing that you have time to discuss it with your surgeon. She could have just had the lumpectomy and that probably would have been the end of that. I have problems thinking that her surgeon was recommending a bilateral mastectomy for any reason other than she was demanding it. I get it. Seeing your mom go through breast cancer is horrible (my grandmother had it and she had a bilateral mastectomy) but that is why you have a physician that you trust. They keep you rational in a time that the patient isn't honestly capable of it.

The "David beating" that Vicki told Kelly about was not the one he pled guilty to over a decade ago, this supposedly happened between Shannon's first and second season shortly after she found out about the affair. And, according to a friend of Vicki's, that was at Vicki's home the night this phone call from Shannon occurred, Shannon's story hasn't changed (that there was no beating/hitting) but Vicki's has.

As for the confusion around Peggy's cancer/not cancer, it is directly due to her telling differing stories, she changes it constantly. IMO, she is changing it on purpose, to give herself/Ditko a storyline.

I agree that Shannon is doing it for a storyline.  It wouldn't be that hard to just say, "Hey, they thought it was precancerous but the biopsy found cancerous cells.  With my family history, I just wanted to go straight to a bilateral mastectomy and pushed for it."

See, it is easy!

I'm aware that they are two different events. However, the 2003 incident cropped up online and social media after the bus ride from hell revelations about the second, more recent occurrence.

Shannon went off in the Facebook comments about how David had never admitted to anything and everyone should "read the police report" - to my knowledge, the police report was never made public, which is why that entire episode remains somewhat ambiguous.

However, pleading guilty as part of a plea deal almost always constitutes an admission of guilt - and, iirc, the articles summarizing the 2003 arc noted that David's plea did indeed include admitting in open court to battery against a cohabitant.

I have no idea if David DID batter Shannon in 2003 considering her account of the incident to which Kelly and Vick referred situated her, Shannon, as the perpetrator of abusive/aggressive behavior.

But her presentation of "I just called the cops in 2003 because I wanted the verbal argument to stop" is bizarre and incomplete/inaccurate by omission from my perspective.

I don't think the more recent event (from 2 years ago) was as widely known as the one that has the police report/DV plea, it was only reported in 1 blog, SH, which is now closed.

Watching how Shannon reacts/over reacts these last few years makes me suspect that her calling the police to stop a heated argument is something she would do. Shannon tends to panic quickly when things (arguments) don't go her way, so Yes, I can see her calling the police to stop David from arguing with her. I think she allows her imagination to take over and see things that aren't there, hence why David says he shuts down/withdraws from her when she gets like that.

Ahhhhh, Shannon never disappoints. She falls for the bait every. single. time. And....she was totally irrational with Tamra on the phone. And....did she really think David was offering Diko some names of cancer specialists? Tamra was 100% correct, Shannon is lashing out and not in control of herself because of the downfall of her marriage, same as Tamra was when she was going through the break up of her marriage. Nothing could be more clear.

Shannon was correct, she said herself she was lashing out. Watch Tamra be friends with heartbroken Vicki..

As to Peggy and her decision to have a mastectomy, I have a friend who many years ago after a situation similar to Peggy elected to have a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery at the same time.  She didn't tell anyone even though she took three weeks off work and as she states, returned to work with breasts a third of their previous size.  Her reasons were maybe similar to Peggy's -she didn't want to go through the constant screenings and be in limbo in between.  It took a long time for her to confide in people outside her immediate family of her decision.  As articulate as my friend can be it has taken a long time for her to reveal exactly what transpired and ironically, after five years of knowing she had the mastectomy due to breast cancer as she positioned it back then, she has just now revealed to our group of friends her situation was exactly like Peggy's.  When she first told us the normal questions were did you have chemo or radiation?  (The answer was no.)

Peggy writes in her blog that she was not articulate because she is still recovering from surgery-at this point in the show it has been five months since the surgery.  To me it is Peggy's unwillingness to form coherent sentences and responses that have given this story life.

My other issue with Peggy and Diko they are in fact Lebanese born and have Armenian ancestry.  I am curious if she and DIko have even visited Armenian.  Although charming that she and Diko have elected to put their Armenian roots front and center she needs to get real about being an American.  Are they American citizens?  Peggy always has an excuse for her poor communication skills-it is the aftermath of her surgery or her not being an American.  Even her husband questions her claims.

So now Vicki is having heart problems because of all the stress from the girls? Wow, she and Shannon are more alike than either of them care to admit. Over-dramatic.

Megan's psychic party was interesting. Everyone was all pearl clutching over the idea, but it didn't seem like a set-up to do actual readings or anything. She was just another guest at dinner, who would sometimes throw something out there. Peggy was super rude about it. And Vicki wouldn't even go because her pastor said not to. I'm sorry, my memory is the worst, but didn't Vicki HOST a psychic gathering back in the early years of this show???

Either way, I'm over Peggy. Shannon's reactions are super fucking OTT, but Peggy and Niko are trying SO hard to make drama where there is none. Peggy brings UP the topic, and when she and Shannon finally get some alone time to hash it out, Peggy bails. She wants to make the scene. But when she's faced with a human being genuinely asking how she is, she can't handle it. This entire cancer thing has been a whole lot of bait n switch. THEY are the ones who keep bringing it up (and badly), but then get all offended when anyone asks follow up questions. Ugh, it's doing my head in.

So, the premise of this Iceland trip is that this douchey, rich, So Cal magazine for men is writing an article on the country? Bahahaha, okay then. Again, super jealous of OC right now. I was literally gasping during the previews and I know these bitches will ruin another amazing travel opportunity.

I won't be surprised when Tamra finally tires of Shannon. They bonded over hating Vicki, but the bloom is off the rose. Shannon is just too needy. She needs to find happiness within herself. Hell, she even SAID that tonight. But then the next words out of her mouth were about DAVID appreciating her while she was gone. I know he had the affair, but does she ever stop to think about how SHE contributed to the problems in their marriage?

I am such an evil person, but I laughed super hard at David chomping on chips while Shannon tried to pack and fish for compliments.

Diko really wants to go to Iceland. I'm more convinced with every passing week that this show was HIS idea.

It really annoys me when people who can say stuff to push people's button with a straight face and quiet tone use that as a weapon against people who are emotionally compromised or more animated. That is what Peggy and Lydia do to Shannon. Shannon is weak at this time and they are pouncing. It is extra annoying coming from Lydia because she uses her Christian identity as a shield for her evil intent.

This is one of the times I liked Meghan. That line about them not waking the baby was gold.

I liked Tamara's counsel to Shannon, but I do have a hard time seeing her as pure of heart because we have all seen the other side of her.

What the he'll was that sequin jacket Kelly was wearing in the scene with her mother?

I had a pair of the AC slater pants in acid wash.  You know the ones with the super high waist, pleats so the legs balloon out, and then super tapered at the bottom.  Lots of buckles too that served no purpose.

Man, I loved the 80's but the fashion was just bad.

Dude, I didn't even get vicodin after my c-sections. I left the hospital off painkillers. I think I took some tylenol the first day or two just at night but that was it. I understand that the expanders would be a bit painful but she honestly can't be on Vicodin for 5 months after the surgery.  Also, we've seen her drinking and driving (not simultaneously) during the show which would not be recommended when on Vicodin.

I recall Peggy saying she was born in Beirut and moved here when she was a year old.  I am not certain as to which war caused the families to flee Armenia -most of the Armenians I know, and I was raised in a heavily populated Armenia community came over here after the war in 1915.  Many came through France and many settled in the Boston area before arriving in California.

I imagine I could have misunderstood Peggy but I am under the impression she said Beirut.

Vicki hosted a psychic the year her mother died (so 2 seasons ago)! She is so full of crap that she leaves a brown stain where ever she is. LOL

Peggy was born in Kuwait. At least, that's what her bio on the Bravo site said pre-season.

Thanks Luna-my bad.  I am still wondering when her family left Armenia.

I don't recall her saying that she was from Beirut/Lebanon. I remember her saying Diko was but she was from Armenia (because I originally assumed that Diko was Lebanese and she was Armenian).  But I also am having issues paying attention to this season.

I just want to see Vicki get hit in the head with a football.  I need more of that.

Vicki is not housebroken. She also peed on a bed that Tamra was going to sleep on (hopefully after calling housekeeping to get a clean one).

Vickie: I called my pastor and he said stay away from that psychic!

Me: Hahahahhahahaha

She's a hypocrite - LOL - I know she loves that word.  Yes, she had a psychic over after her Mom died with Billy and Tamra there... she also had some astrologer over her house in one of the early seasons to read everyone's chart.  She should have gone to Megan's house, would have made her more relevant and been hella more interesting that her "acting" out her head shake routine at the phony Dr.

I would and have never talked so much about my illnesses so much.Is that her story line? Attention whore. That Muskrat on her head is hilarious! Who told her that looked good??

Maybe she bought her diploma because she is certainly not at all smart.

I have despised Lydia from Day one. I mute the parts where she speaks. Pseudo Christian - when it's convenient
