Athena September 22, 2017 Share September 22, 2017 Quote Graham is joined by Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, who star in Blade Runner 2049, Margot Robbie, starring in Goodbye Christopher Robin, and Reese Witherspoon, who stars in the romantic comedy Home Again. Plus music from Bananarama, who perform Cruel Summer. Link to comment
dubbel zout September 22, 2017 Share September 22, 2017 Here's hoping BBCA gives us hourlong episodes this time, instead of those annoying 45-minute cuts. Who knows? The website is singularly unhelpful. 2 Link to comment
dusang September 22, 2017 Share September 22, 2017 Ooh, I don't have high hopes for this couch -- they really need a Jack Whitehall or a Greg Davies with this group. Link to comment

I'm with you on this. Gosling is a good sport generally. He probably knows Ford enough to help with that. However, I do notice this lineups change right up until when the show is recorded Thursdays of the same week. So we may see a change and the addition of a comedian. Link to comment
Bruinsfan September 27, 2017 Share September 27, 2017 Hell, get Miriam Margolyes on and sit her next to Ford. 1 Link to comment
dubbel zout September 27, 2017 Share September 27, 2017 (edited) According to my DVR, BBCA is broadcasting this ep at 10 ET on 10/7 (a week from this Saturday). So far it looks like it's the full hour. Edited September 27, 2017 by dubbel zout 1 Link to comment
Quof September 27, 2017 Share September 27, 2017 Quote Hell, get Miriam Margolyes on and sit her next to Ford. He would get up and leave. (I know I would. I find her rude, crass and not funny). 2 Link to comment

dubbel zout October 8, 2017 Share October 8, 2017 What a low-energy show. I don't think I've seen one more lethargic. Margot Robbie tried the hardest, and Reese Witherspoon roused herself a bit, but Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling were soporific. 4 Link to comment
MissLucas October 8, 2017 Share October 8, 2017 Yeah, it was a bit of a snooze-feast - despite the tattooing and that's saying something. 1 Link to comment
attica October 8, 2017 Share October 8, 2017 I thought Ryan was trying to out-stoic the famously sullen Ford, which however amusing, certainly brought the energy down. Robbie was charming, I think. Reese was there. Apparently, Bananarama is back to their original lineup. Wiki says they've had nearly 30 charting singles in the UK since the 80s all the way through the present. Well! It's weird that they don't do harmonies, but I guess it works for them. 1 Link to comment
msrachelj October 9, 2017 Share October 9, 2017 this was horrible. what a boring bunch of people. i think it may have been the first time i fast forwarded most of it. as for harrison ford, i now believe, after seeing how slow he reacts etc, that his pilot license does need to be revoked. does margot robbie have a license to tattoo? like i said, i fast forwarded and may have missed that. 1 Link to comment

I did too. Harrison Ford is a jerk. I kind of wanted to see Blade Runner. Now not so sure. More guests from the UK please. 1 Link to comment
califred October 10, 2017 Share October 10, 2017 (edited) They needed a comedian Reese looked so uncomfortable. No one looked happy. It was a bad mix. Edited October 10, 2017 by califred 1 Link to comment
Qoass October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 Back in the day, I thought of Bananarama as three secretaries and a drum machine. Now they're three secretaries with a drum machine and slightly better makeup. Link to comment
attica October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 When Graham showed that photo of Margot and the royals (which would be a good name for a band), I was delighted that he doesn't know Beatrice from Eugenie. I have the hardest time with that too! After thinking and thinking, I think (?) it was Bea in the photo. Link to comment
dubbel zout October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 It was Eugenie! The way I tell them apart is that Bea has redder hair and more closely resembles Fergie. 1 Link to comment
attica October 12, 2017 Share October 12, 2017 (edited) ...I thought the girl in the photo had redder hair... Sigh. Well, at least I know which one has redder hair; that's progress! Also, can I just say how much I enjoy the British pronunciation of Bahnahnahrahmah? Edited October 12, 2017 by attica 1 Link to comment
MissLucas October 12, 2017 Share October 12, 2017 Beatrice is the one who looks a lot like Queen Victoria (at least from certain angles). Additional mnemonic device - they both have a 'c' in their name. She's also the one who gave Ed Sheeran a scar on his cheek while mock-knighting James Blunt. Not that that helps with remembering how she looks like, it's just a great story. Link to comment
TexasGal October 12, 2017 Share October 12, 2017 I just went down a rabbit hole looking at pictures of Beatrice and Eugenie and still couldn't reliably tell them apart. I think I've settled on Beatrice has the more horse mouth teeth? I am really finding anything to distract me from stuff I should be doing today... Link to comment

peeayebee October 15, 2017 Share October 15, 2017 I liked this and thought Ford and Gosling were hysterical together. They have great chemistry and obviously enjoy each other's company. I love Margot Robbie. License or no, I thought the little toe tattoos were kind of cute. Reese starting to joke about casting the guy to play her love interest was awkward and uncomfortable. The audience didn't seem to think it was funny, and I think Reese realized that and dropped the joke. I didn't know Bananarama was British. 2 Link to comment
SmithW6079 October 19, 2017 Share October 19, 2017 I enjoyed this episode too. Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling were funny together, but I think some of that might just be what appears to be Ryan's natural affability. He was on with another old male co-star last year for a buddy-type movie they did. I can't remember who -- maybe Russell Crowe -- and they had that same kind of chemistry. Maybe he just likes older guys. ? I don't know who Margot Robey is, but I want to see the Christopher Robin movie. I thought Graham's priduction assistant was kind of cute and a good sport for getting his toes tattooed. Link to comment
