^ Yes, same sister

Pauly looks seriously cracked out, and where the hell did he come from?

Also, does Shrek I mean Alex not know about chapstick?

Paula and Alex are very unfortunate in the looks dept.  Maybe having a baby with Alyssa will enhance the gene pool in that family.

So they burned 2 episodes a week and it's still not done?

Basically Garrett and what's her name are screwing again and Alex and Juliette are as well, though now Alex is going to be a daddy.

And Cara turns up to say she is back with her ex.

Boring.

Alex Campo fired for racist posts on social media in the past.

That is why instead of 2 episodes, they aired just one and cut out as much of Alex as they could even though the main story involved him bribing Chloe to keep her mouth shut about his cheating.

A lot of fake story lines they’re setting up like Kelsey and Garrett moving in — this show has always faked living situation since many cast members fly into Sarasota to film the show — Madison wanting to have a baby AND be an actress, Juliette’s new career, Chloe’s job for Alex’s dad.

Speaking of fake Juliette seemed proud of her hard fake breasts.  Tragic, these young women are already on a TV show so fake breasts will get them on more shows?

Well Alex’s dad may pull the plug since his racist POS son is off MTV now so the show may not be around after this season.

Wow. Alex proved me wrong. I didn’t think he could be any worse of a human being but I guess he can be. Remember when the show would have those painfully scripted segments of Alex showing how much he cared about charity work, to give the impression he was more than a spoiled rich kid? I used to kind of like this show until last year’s storylines were all basically about people siding with who was more rich and more famous and who they could mooch off of more.

I can't stand Alex - I never got what was so great about him that every girl in Siesta Key threw themselves at him, other than the lure of his (parents) money. So good riddance to him but the rest of them are just so boring and the storylines are ridiculous.    Madisson begging her creepy bf for attention is cringeworthy.  Garrett and Kelsey have no charisma.   And the main  story about Juliette's righteous struggle with telling Alyssa the truth is completely fake.  It's not her job to inform Alyssa that Alex is a shit, she would find out soon enough that he cheated considering well, the whole thing was filmed.  Alex's father making sure Chloe keeps her mouth shut is not only slimy but also ridiculous because well, the cheating is on film.  Ugh these people!

so we won't have to see Juliette pining away for Alex all season long??? Or see his smug face????

Everything has already been filmed.  But most of the relationship stuff on this show are questionable, like Kelsey and Garrett.

Or Juliette and Robby.  Now from the previews looks like she's going to be linked to some guy supposedly even richer than Alex.

That would be a great return on her new breasts.

The podcast should be interesting, they usually have a lot of background stuff not apparently on the show.

I really forgot this show even existed until i saw the previews for the new season. And then I wondered if I had seen the last one. And I hadn't, so I binged watched it.. which essentially just turned into the alex and juliette show... barf.  i have no idea why i watch this mess.

I’m all for trash TV, but I’m not really here to see a dad to be running around cheating on his pregnant girlfriend.  That’s really  just pathetic and sad.  Like it really makes me sad when I think about it and that was going to be a storyline until Alex was just fired yesterday?  GROW THE FUCK UP.  I just couldn’t imagine living that way, even if it just for”show.”  A baby is a real thing y’all.  Sickening.

What the hell is a yacht girl?

Didn’t see the episode, but my guess is it’s a young girl who spends all her money on her appearance so that men will provide her a lifestyle that’s beyond her means (different men, different yachts, private jets, extravagant vacations and photo ops). They don’t think of themselves as gold diggers but it’s a life choice.

Yes and it’s more than that. It is paid work to “party” on and off boats with men who pay. Many actresses and now “Instagram models” do this for money when not working. It’s escorting— often with international men from Europe and the Middle East. The Caribbean, Mediterranean and Dubai are big destinations for this and many reality stars who go to these international appearances, it is actually cover as a reason to be in that country for what they are actually doing and being paid to do there. Actresses do this going back to the 1950’s. Supposedly, the whole Cannes Film Festival is built around this and the Golden Globes is often a place that international buyers purchase a table and scope out who they want to hire for yacht season. Instagram models have had their DM’s exposed and the explicit conversation of the negotiation of what they are willing to do and not do in exchange for payment and travel and recreational time “free days” without group sex. Many B and C list actresses do this and now reality stars and Instagram faces and actual models too. They get paid a lot of money by people who fantasize about them. People who have acknowledged it include Lala Kent from VDP Rules who was called out on her “modeling trip” to Venice and other European vacations in her first season. There is an agent who goes by the alias “Bani” who has talked about the process and how he comes to LA and he has a book and lists for clients. Many actresses are *allegedly* linked to being “yacht girls” which is a term not exclusive to boats. It’s something I wish I didn’t know about! *shudder* It is an open secret and it is shocking... until it is not anymore because you realize how prevalent it is in the industry.

I have no idea if Juliette or anyone is involved, yet it seems like something that could be offered to her to mix and mingle in moneyed circles or she simply could be invited on boats because people like her company. Surprisingly, there is a big and burgeoning market and demand for reality TV stars in international yachting. People see them on tv and ask for them.

Damn. Didn’t realize THAT’s what you meant.

I have no way to know what the original poster meant when referring to a yacht girl; however, the description I gave in the post above is the only way I have seen that term used. It could possibly mean different things to different people. In Hollywood, yacht girl and yachting is a known thing. Like escorting, it doesn’t always include sex. Some people are simply paid to party and for their company (from stories I have read from nobody wanna be aspiring actresses encouraged to go on these trips, often at least one or more of them in a group is expected to be asked for sex— not clear if they can negotiate or how that works. Many are relieved to not be asked).

If everything is already filmed I’ll be interested to see how the cast tries to distance themselves from Alex. On Southern Charm one of the main old rich dudes was fired for allegations (guy was a scumbag since before he was cast) and IMMEDIATELY the cast showed up on the next season trashing him and distancing themselves from him. I’m sure a lot of this season is about people picking Alex’s side vs whomever, so I wonder how they’ll try to spin their support of a racist.

I just watched the first episode for this 'season' and it was so weird how they all talked about him but we never saw his face. If I wouldn't have randomly came here to read up then I would have been super confused.

Obviously they are desperate to manufacture drama this season... how convenient that Brandon, Juliette and Madisson's exes fly in from all over the world to show up at a little Halloween party?  I am officially bored.

I thought the same thing. So odd to have a parade of exes join the Halloween party one-by-one. I get the feeling they wanted to set up this season following the Metoo movement. And I don’t mean to get into politics, it’s just that the first episode kept talking about how “powerful” Alex and his dad were, how people were trying to silence Juliette, how Chloe was being bought off for her silence. It just seemed like they were going to paint Alex and/or his dad as a Harvey Weinstein-type. Other than the physical resemblance, I guarantee neither is powerful like Harvey was. Alex’s dad is rich, but nobody in Florida respects the guy.

And I really hope Chloe has strong self esteem because I can’t imagine why she wants to be on this show. She’s the only “non-model” female on the show and her only involvement is to insert herself into everyone else’s business like a crazy person. Apparently she has a long-distance bf, so they’ll never have a romantic storyline for her.

And why is every guy on this show super creepy and asexual? Is that really what they cast for. Garrett, Robbie, Jared, JJ, Brandon all just seem so repulsive and not in an amusing way like the guys on Vanderpump Rules and other shows.

^She's also acts as narrator.  I often wondered why they don't make her have some type of love interest. The rest of them are not allowed to be single for more than a week.  How many of them are actually together in real life?

Garrett has to be the worst actor of the bunch.  Whenever he has to say something dramatic, you can always see him trying not to crack a smile.  Alex did too, when we were allowed to see his face :)  The bad thing about editing him out of the show is that we didn't get to see his family's reaction to pregnancy.  "You knocked up a hairstylist?!?"

I'm bored by BG and his ex-Camilla, too much of the episode was spent on them.

They could easily replace that role with someone other than Chloe. What’s the point of Madisson if Ish isn’t there?

As to “BG” and Camilla, I just think it’s funny seeing the seems in this show as they try to cut out Alex. They clearly didn’t have a backup plan so now they’re just throwing stuff against a wall and not even caring if it sticks.

Agree about Garrett. When Kelsey pretended she wanted a more serious relationship and Garrett pretended to want to be more lose, him saying, “Five years from now?! I don’t know what I’m doing... tomorrow!!!” Was just cringey. Sure, Garrett, you’re just some wild and crazy guy. He’s like a real life Ken doll, complete with a lack of genitalia.

Well this episode was kind of vintage Siesta Key.  It featured a lot of ass shots.

And girls in swimsuits too.😄

They couldn't keep Alex out of it completely, since the pregnancy plot involves him.  People who've watched this show know who he is so not sure it adds much showing partial shots of him or shots of him walking away.

Now the featured couples are all the supporting players.  A lot of these scenes may have ended up in the cutting room floor if not for Alex's racist self.

Just put it out of its misery, though I suspect they will have another season just so every character can say they denounce Alex's racism, though probably some of them knew about it, didn't bother them.

I heard the same thing. Plus, if we’re being honest it would be difficult to create a believable love triangle with Chloe. I’m sorry, but at least all the other relationship drama is with men and women who are basically interchangeable. I can’t really picture a storyline where a guy is going for both Chloe and Amanda or Chloe and Kelsey. Sorry, I realize that’s superficial but so is this show.

Chloe lives in Denver, supposedly comes in only to film.

Other cast members spend most of their time elsewhere.

As has been noted, Sarasota/Siesta Key tend to have a lot of older people and attract more affluent but older visitors.

Ok, this is kind of weird. Just two nights before I watched the episode this week, I was talking to someone about cell phone security. I said that if someone murdered or attacked you, they could potentially use your fingerprint or your face to unlock your phone, and that is why I consider a password to be more secure than either of those.

Then... in this episode... JJ unlocks Amanda's phone with her face while she is asleep.

Anyway, it was pretty weird the way they were editing Shrek out of this episode. Did you notice when they showed the exterior of his home, they labelled it as his parent's names' house rather than "Alex's house" - I saw that and thought.. woah.. they are really serious about taking him out of this show. I wonder what its like for him to watch these episodes.

Its going to be even weirder when the show features this pregnancy storyline.

There is a setting that Amanda may not have enabled.  Because if it's on, it shouldn't unlock when asleep.

How is 'Require Attention' supposed to work for people with facial quirks?

Apple's Require Attention feature means you have to be able to show the iPhone that you are aware of its scan by looking directly at it. This ensures that someone can't just scan your face while you're sleeping or looking away, unknowing that someone else has your iPhone. There are definitely people that won't be able to perform the actions required for Require Attention.

Apple included the ability to disable Require Attention in the Face ID and Passcode settings. For those with issues looking directly at their iPhone, you can disable Require Attention and still use Face ID.

How to disable Face ID's Require Attention

Maybe she should learn to use her iPhone to search for answers like this.

Sam is quite the butterface. I'm sure Juliette would be totally interested without the money. Also, is there any male between the ages of 18-34 on the Key of Siesta that isn't/wasn't friends with Alex?!

I hope Ashley (I think that’s her name, it seems like there are a million Ashley’s on this show) doesn’t conduct all her meetings like the job discussion she had with Juliette. I would never work for or hire someone who was looking at her phone or walking away as she was talking about a job.

Brandon and Maddison. I’ve never seen two people work less hard at careers that are supposedly their passions. Someone needs to tell Brandon that there’s more to bejng a musician than just being a narcissist

Yeah she was grinning all the way up to Chloe telling her.  That would mean the producers set up that shot and pretty much ambushed her, though didn’t they announce on social media?

She looked like she was spiraling,  usually so put together, decided not to GAF in that minute and started to wolf down that pizza and chug the wine straight out of the pitcher.

This was one of the better episodes in a long time.  Brandon ate shit on camera, with his parents telling him he has to get a job, not be pursuing his dream.  Lives at home, has no car.

Did his parents agree to film that scene with Brandon not knowing what they were going to say to him or did he agree beforehand, knowing he was going to look sad, living at home, no car, no money, asking them for money for his album?

Fact that he didn’t argue too much and agreed to work for his dad suggests he agreed to do that.  Because if his parents were laying down the law for the first time on camera, you’d expect him to resist having to work, to whine more.

Was entertaining.

Then the scene with Camilla, she was grinning and smirking as she asked him when they’d move in together.  But his reactions were real, his eyes narrowed a few times during their convo.  And he was honest when he said first things he was spending money on were his album and a Tesla.

Madison the actor reads one line and the class is applauding her?  Guess they’re happy to be on MTV.

I actually think you’re being too generous. There are a lot of hard-working talented musicians who will go their entire lives without commercial success but grind out steady, local careers getting gigs. To be average or mediocre in the music world still takes a ton of talent and hard work.

Then again, Brandin probably expects his father to buy him an album deal the way Alex’s dad bought him a TV show

Siesta Key:  The Office

Tonight's episode:  Brandon's dad teaches Brandon to look people in the eye, to roll his pant leg down and to put his cell phone away.  Serious older brother seethes with jealousy.  Mom sheds tear of pride.  Chloe looks for financial advice.

Funniest bit this whole season was the beginning when the three girls were getting drinks and Juliette was talking about her and Alex, then Chloe interjects with the question about who cries more, her or Madison. You could see the wheels spinning in Juliette’s head, “Wait a minute, we’re not going to talk about ME? I don’t understand what’s going on.”
