It has a nice mixture of L/L, of Emily, of Rory (and someone who I think actually suited her) Everything Old Is New Again CoffeeDrinker who has been into the GG fanfic for a very long time, has a new fic that deals with L/L after their wedding. I know there are legions of Luke and Lorelai's 'middle' fics where little well-behaved William adores his parents, but are there any where she has a kid who's less like malleable docile Rory and more like her? Or where she struggles to share parental control? She knew when other kids needed discipline (Jess, Gigi) but never recognized when Rory needed some, or could commit to it. She usually caved after Rory froze her out for a while, and Rory refused to be lectured anyway (example: Emily warning her against Jess, she left the room). Are there any fics where Lorelai has to be a mom 24/7? I'm struggling a lot on this, because she hated playing the mom card and had to be the anti-Emily, I don't believe she'd seamlessly segue into a different parenting style. I don't know how she'd handle a kid who needed clearly defined boundaries and doesn't want to be best friends. Link to comment

I would offer mine which is called The Gilmore Twins but it’s not exactly what you’re asking for. Lorelai has another kid with Rory and my version is more outgoing. Many, many years ago my friend and I posted fics on Black and White and Read and I just want to reread these so badly. I would pay to see these again. Seriously. I can read some of my own one-part stories from the site through Wayback Machine, but the fics we wrote together were multichapter and (thanks to her talent) on the smuttier side so I get different kinds of error messages in Wayback when I try to read them. I've been trying off and on for years, hoping one day I'll figure out some trick or loophole, but no luck. Does anyone know if it's possible to access these? Sorry to say but as far as BWR, there won't be any miracle there. I have numerous friends (plus myself) that had stories there and they are long gone. I lost mine off my old computer but at one point I had printed them out. Another friend had hers on both BWR and FF but took them off of FF. She lost her multishot fic when her computer crashed. SoG was in fact a continuation of Danes Family Rules. It followed as Grace, her brothers, Zander and Drew, and sister, Sammie grew into adults and had families and issues of their own. If I recall correctly it started when the kids were in high school and Jr. High and went from there. Luke and Lorelai navigating teenagers was fun to watch. Rory and Jess were also around tons. So it's pretty much the interlude between where the penultimate chapter of Danes Family Rules left off -- the Rory/Jess wedding -- and the flash-forward of how everybody's lives turned out at the end. That sounds amazing. Just another question, though (not sure if the spoiler tag applies since it's not about the show) -- Spoiler Did SoG go into more detail on Lorelai dying?
