I think no more $.

It had been moribund for a while, with the same clique going around in circles on the same topics. They must have run out of people willing to contribute to the Web hosting fees (they can add up for a sizeable site) which often happens with fan boards.

5 more dates added   Chicago, St Louis, Atlanta, Durham and Charlotte .

LM and DC held a joint Instagram session to discuss their plans for the show. They report having already 25 numbers on their set list; if you factor in song introductions, set-up changes as well as banter with the audience and between themselves, this would make for a long evening; the fans would probably not complain but the singers' vocal chords may. They might pare the list down and put some songs in rotation which would make the line-up different from city to city.

I mean I can't imagine what there really would be to talk about to keep the board very active. Glee ended years ago and it was hardly a ratings winner by the end. It sort of just petered out with very few people caring. There was already the dark cloud of Cory's death and since it's end, we found out Mark Salling was a pedophile, who has since killed himself. I mean again, I can't imagine there is enough genuine residual love and passion left towards Glee to keep a board dedicated to it, fairly active. The people who are fans of any of the specific actors can likely just keep up with them via their social media.

For those who followed him (or even Glee) it really isn't much of a surprise, but Kevin McHale officially came out:

I mean his "roommate" (as previously described publicly and now acknowledged boyfriend)  and Kevin have been posting in social media for years.   Kevin has been out to his family/friends for nearly a decade.

Actually I can name many TV shows with more limited "niche" appeal (contrasted to Glee's mainstream success) who were on the air less time than the 6 years of the show whose forums have thrived for years.

The Glee forum was shedding members at a rapid clip even when the show was at it's peak because quite frankly the ineptitude of its moderators and administration was glaring,  so it limped along closing off discussions  to all but their dwindling  core members.  Tweeners posing as moderators is never a pretty sight.   The Glee forum's euthanasia was long overdue.

Some of the cast got together for Kevin's 30th birthday

Although they're not in the picture, I think Darren and Harry might have been there as well.

Actually, Harry posted this pic which looks like it could have been from the party:

Darren, Chord, Harry, Becca, Jacob and Max attended the premiere of Billy Boy, which was written by Blake (he stars in it as well).

I genuinely thought Jacob Artist was Shemar Moore the first time I saw that group picture

I can kind of see it!

Now I want Jacob to play Shemar's son in something!

I’m going to see the concert Tuesday! I’m very excited, Lea as a Broadway performer should be wonderful live.

So-

I went to see Lea Michelle and Darren Cris in concert last tonight (for those that care), but I have a point. Before I get to my story I was more than impressed by their talent and their stage presence. An opening with Broadway Baby & Suddenly Seymour, a closing with Make You Feel My Love (no electronic amplification, just the theatre and their training) I have to hand it to @leamichele and @darrencriss for an amazing performance. It was gLeek-ed out.

As his song for “chicago” Darren Cris chose “Remix to Ignition” by R Kelly. A woman (whom I’m sure paid good money to be there as she was in the front center) got up and yelled “he’s a fucking rapist” and started to leave- security escorted her out. Darren made an “oh shit” face, stated he had to redeem himself and he didn’t mean that he was endorsing R Kelly but that he was celebrating the music.......

Just why? He couldn’t have picked another song? It was in such poor taste, especially given the demographic of the audience. What about Jennifer Hudson, Common, Sam Cook or Earth Wind & Fire to represent chicago?

It would’ve been a perfect performance.....

He was definitely one of those "sure thing" nominations. Still, weird stuff have been known to happen with award shows, so I'm sure it's nice for him to have it confirmed.

I saw Al Pacino mentioned as another sure thing in a few "Emmy predictions" columns and articles over the past few weeks, and yet his name is absent from the final selection in DC's category. There are almost always surprising omissions and inclusions in such a process.

As the amusing opening number from this year's Tony Awards ceremony a few weeks ago reminded us, most cast and crew never get nominated, and most of those nominated don't get to win. So it is indeed an achievement for DC or anyone else nominated in any category to find themselves in a rather select club.

C'mon now ol' rosie, that's a little harsh. Plenty of people loved that forum! Some so much that they repeatedly came back over and over again after being banned. True dedication!

Cory's mom has an interview with People magazine coming out on Friday.  The site has part of it up

https://www.today.com/popculture/cory-monteith-s-mom-remembers-moment-she-learned-his-death-t133572

In it, she says that she received a call from Lea screaming if "it was true", but she (Cory's mom) hadn't heard anything and then a minute later the police knocked on her door.

Kind of crazy and horrible that his mom wasn't one of the first people to be told of his death!

She also said that she didn't think Cory was hard enough for Hollywood.  He thought Hollywood was "plastic" and he didn't care about fame and fortune.

The article also mentions that Cory skipped kindergarten and first grade and usually associated with older kids
