To me, it's just like a painting - you buy a blank canvass and painted on it. People naturally ask "did you make this?

It's an odd analogy...but wouldn't most people say, "Did you PAINT this?" and you give your answer?

So is Shep. So is Whitney. She slept with both of them to hook a rich husband. Thomas is the only one of the three stupid enough not to use a condom. If Shep had gotten her pregnant, we'd be seeing the same story with a different leading man. And a drunkard, to boot.

Oh I agree that Kathryn was looking for a meal ticket. But I also think she was in love with Thomas and that he plays with her heart as well when he finds her sexually attractive.

I think it's time for Shep's parents, siblings and his true friends (not the ones on this show except for Cam) to stage an intervention for this man. He has a long time left to live a productive life if he'll just get himself sober and living a serving life. He can offer so much help to people with his money if he just wants to do it. God help this young man. He needs it.

Let's remember how fake this show is so much of the time. Let's suppose production sets Shep's house up to look like a frat party gone bad is always happening there. Let's suppose this is just another storyline being used to set Shep up on his own spinoff of looking for love and settling down. I've seen him drunk and ugly a few times, but how do we know he's not putting more into it than is there? When he brought Cam breakfast, he had a beer in his hand. We didn't see him drink all of it.

I'm really starting to wonder if his anger at having a bad edit, is all of the attention focused on his drinking when production is going out of their way to make it look worse than it really is?

Isn't that the defense of everyone in "reality TV" though? "It's the editing...they cut out some scenes...if only they showed the entire thing that happened..." I'm sure we'll get a lot of that from Shep, and probably Craig/Naomie and Landon during the reunion. Yes, production can slant some situations to whatever they feel like doing, but at the same time, I also think that there's no dick edit if you didn't act like a dick.

Re: Shep with a beer during breakfast with Cam - I tend to believe that's true, that he started to pound alcohol right in the morning, considering the very colorful adventure that he and Craig experienced at the airport. Which was confirmed and talked about by a number of the cast, even Shep himself. I'm actually a little surprised that production kept that part out of the show entirely, didn't even show snippets of it in a flashback. But maybe that's their little favor to Shep of not showing how an ass he was to the person he spilled water on, or how pathetic he looked when choking on a chicken bone. Or that it's Shep's lucky day that they weren't there when it happened.

And speaking of "bad edits", whoever at Bravo thought that it would be such a good idea to give him a spinoff show based on how he acted or how he was "edited" during this season? If this season, Shep's arc was that he was "growing up", ala-Craig - cooling it with the drinking, stop sleeping with different women every night, getting himself immersed in his businesses more, etc. then his "search for love" around the country spinoff show makes so much more sense. Then you have a lead you can root for. As it is, the general reaction to his show so far has been "why does this drunk need more excuse to fuck women around the country?!"

I don't think anyone is saying that, only that Kathryn was not some innocent victim and had her own agenda for her actions.

I'm not letting them off the hook, just stating that I think she was looking for a rich man.

I'm no fan of Landon and I generally thought her looks were overrated, but she looked really stunning on WWHL.  And both she and Thomas were cute on WWHL.

I agree that no one is saying that.  Neither are is anyone saying anything--anything negative about the men.  They have their slut moments too.  I still feel that Whitney would LOVED to show off Kathryn around town...and especially to his mother.

The only advice Kathryn could possibly give anyone is on how to be a heartless fake friend!  She does that very well.

I agree. I still can't get over  Kathryn's treatment of Jennifer at the lunch. That was just mean and evil. Zero compassion. Heartless.

It gets better at the Reunion.

inquiring minds want to know..are you being sarcastic?

As in Kathryn is just absolutely unrealistic.  There are some people when you hear them speak, you scratch your head and wonder, do they hear what is coming out of their mouth?  Kathryn is one of those people.

To me, if I were in a custody battle for my children, I would be nice to the woman who was my friend at one time.  Instead of being hung up on Thomas handing her a hanky.

Spoiler

Kathryn accuses Jennifer of perjury.

Spoiler

And claims Thomas wanted her to abort both their children.

Just another day at the altar of Kathryn.

According to Bustle she appears to have no siblings. Translation: spoiled rotten and used to getting everything she wants and her own way.

I do not feel all people without siblings are this way but Kathryn, most definitely.

i think she is just a 'bad seed'!  we've seen people from good homes but turn out rotten and their siblings turn out great.

I *think they are talking about Jennifer having been called to testify in the custody hearings.  I'm not sure though.  ETA: maybe as a character witness?

Is JD an example of dad-bod? Asking for a friend ?.

I can't decide if Naomi is super classy or totally the opposite.

Cameron's blue dress in key west was STUNNING!

"Craig you are a sweet mother fucker." lol

Bam HATES her sister.

I adore Cameron's mom. ❤️

Elizabeth looked so pretty at the party.

I don't get the part about Jennifer - what case?

Kathryn and Thomas had a contested custody case and I believe she was subpoenaed by Thomas.  There was a rumor that Kathryn used and abused substances during her pregnancy with Saint and Jennifer may have been a witness to some of Kathryn's abhorrent behavior.  The only other alternative is perhaps, and in a really sick way I can see this happening, Kathryn wanted Jennifer once and for all to state under oath if she and Thomas had sex.

Ever wonder why Kathryn's father isn't allowed to be around his grandchildren? I found out that he's got mental issues. Which explains a whole lot now.

Is it true Kathryn's mom has ovarian cancer?  You seem to have the scoop.

Shep was a real disappointment with the onesie.  Maybe he should hook up with Naomie and they could spend their days shit talking about Craig while also exclaiming how amazing they are.

This reminds me of Dinesh and his girlfriend bonding over hating Guilfoyle on Silicon Valley.

Anyone know why Shermet's closed?

They need to have genetic testing for those babies asap - there are quite a few gene mutations that can cause problems, especially in certain constellations. For people with these common glitches, it's important to keep manufactured versions of certain chemicals out of their diets early on (folic acid, for example - they should only have folate in natural forms). Bodies - and brains - that can't clear certain substances can end up very ill.

(Learned the hard way when I couldn't clear Lyme toxins until genetic testing showed the glitches that needed to be addressed.)

I suppose. but, to me, personality really makes the person attractive.  If the personality lacks, it really distracts from the physical appeal.  Maybe, I'm different, but, I think that Austen could do much better than her.

Haha. I've only ever heard the term 'battle axe' on The Flintstones.

I didn't know that about her until I read it here. Don't remember her from her season on it.

See, I don't think Austen's all that either. He's a slightly better version of Shep, but he isn't above being sleazy and playing women either. The way he talked to his one-night stand about her walk of shame, breaking up with his long-term GF because he still wants to play around, disrespecting Chelsea at that dinner by flirting with another woman when he brought Chelsea as his date...eh, I think women in Charleston can do much better than these guys. And it's not only Chelsea who backtracked on what happened with Shep, him too. Saying later on to Shep I didn't mind you hit on Chelsea because hey, she's hot, right. I was upset when you said you didn't need my friendship anymore. Eh, really?! Ok then.

I don't think they're going to end up with each other anyway, so I guess it will probably be just a fun hookup for them both every now and then. Doing the show wasn't too bad for both of them. It was a cool gig that probably paid well, got them to nice places and events, and got both of them laid.

I am fairly certain Thomas has had them both to specialists.

Most specialists don't do genetic testing for mutations - yet.

But if you know to ask, you can find a doctor to do it.

My mother told me that you can tell how a guy is gonna treat his wife by how he treats his mother and Whitney is very nice to his mother.

My ex-husband was very sweet, kind, and good to his mother.   He did, however, sneak around, steal a little, and lie-lie-lie to her for as long as she was alive.   So, in my experience, this is correct.

Yeah .. I know (J.D.)  Everyone goes to him for advice.  He walks around like he's the big shot of Charleston.  What. Does he do anyhow, besides own the restaurant?  He makes Bourbon or something?  How come he's never at the reunions?

I don't ever recall seeing Thomas with his parents. Does anyone else? So we have no idea how he treats his mother. Although, being married to a southern man and Army officer, I've seen how my husband treated his mom, aunts, grandmother, me and his daughter (and all other women, actually), so I expect that Thomas is very respectful and gracious to his mom. Now that I think of it, it's curious that I've never seen his mom and dad interacting with Thomas and their grandchildren. Perhaps they just didn't want to be filmed doing that and for that, I do not blame them one bit.
