Did you see Lori arriving in Boston yesterday for the court hearing? She was beaming and signing autographs. I guess that is her "I am not guilty" behavior. To me, that behavior indicates that she has zero remorse (just like her defiance in her initial court appearance in LA). I would have just kept my head down and not signed autographs. I guess we will see if she is smiling and waving as she enters the courthouse today.

She headed into the Boston courthouse smiling and shaking hands. WTH. Also, she and her husband flew into Boston on a private jet. Talk about either being clueless or just giving everyone a big FU. They are in trouble for bribing to the tune of $500k and then used their privilege to jet into Boston. Wow.

I was wondering if she wasn't thinking of the future - keep the fans happy so if she tries to get on a show/movie - they will still like her??

Not defending Lori, but she and her husband are probably under instructions from their attorney on how to act. It may have nothing to do with how they are really feeling or reacting.

For those earlier in the thread that mentioned Brooke Shields returning to WCTH, Brooke is now committed to a new show on The CW. She might still be able to appear on the show, it would just depend on her availability.

I never thought of that.  Those drawings from her first court appearance portrayed her as quite standoffish and entitled, so the attorneys may want her to appear more approachable.

E-News has this to say about her behavior in public:

" She was obviously extremely nervous and the actress side of Lori came out. She doesn't know how else to be in public...

Moreover, the 54-year-old is not used to attracting attention for "something so negative," explains the insider. Now that the star is wading into what the source calls "uncharted territory" she is simply following her natural instincts. "Her natural reaction was to just smile and try to be light-hearted," the source explains."

More charges today for Lori and her husband. Up to 40 years in prison, but I can't imagine they would serve anything close to that. It does sound like they will be serving some time, from what I have read/heard. I saw an attorney on tv talking about the parents and the charges and he expects Felicity Huffman to be sentenced to 0-6 months, but her situation is different from Lori's.

My TiVo caught a WCTH short preview thing last night. I found it on the Hallmark website if y'all want to check it out:

https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/when-calls-the-heart/videos/return-to-hope-valley

It says the show will return with two new episodes Sunday, May 5, and Monday, May 6, and then it'll be back for the rest of the season.

Yipee!!  I can't wait to see what they've done with it!  The preview doesn't show any sad faces or any mention of Abigail's death or departure, so I can't wait to see how they explain her absence.

Perhaps Abigail has come down with a permanent case of Chuck Cunningham Syndrome and her fellow Hope Valley-ians will never utter a single word about her ever again - not mourned, not missed, not remembered.

Just like poor Bobby Martin from All My Children back in the day. Went up to the attic to get a pair of skis and was never heard from again.

Did you see the episode decades later when Opal got locked in the Martin attic and found a skeleton with a ski hat that had the name Bobby on the hat? I laughed so hard for days and days after that. There was also another scene when Allie asked Jake Martin at a Halloween party at Myrtle's if the skeleton was one of his patients and he answered no it was one of his brothers.

🤣 I remember that!  Hilarious!!

Seriously, though, I guess they could go that route, but it seems like they're going to have to do something about Abigail's fate. She's got a son, a cafe, and is the mayor! She can't just disappear without comment.  I know stranger things have been done, but that's just too weird.

Abigail's departure would be so much more seamless if they had Lori to say the goodbyes and give the explanations for her departure, but of course, that can't happen. I'm more excited to see how they handle it all than I am to catch up on the story. lol

I did watch a 3 minute preview of the new shows coming on Sunday and Monday. It recorded on my DVR so I watched it. No mention of Lori/Abigail. Just Erin Krakow telling us they're coming back with 2 special episodes.

Also, before I say this, I have to first say that the whole Lori Loughlin thing has really disappointed me. I am not a gullible person but she sure had me fooled. I just thought she was like the epitome of an honest, caring person. I always loved her work. But they showed her coming out of the courtroom (or going in) on the news this morning and she just looks like a different person. Sour face - almost arrogant. I get that nobody's perfect, but geez, this really knocked her down a few, make that A LOT of pegs in my eyes.

Not only does she look arrogant in the last few shots of her (which I'll admit is difficult to really judge because she's on the spot and doesn't seem to know how to act) but from what I've read her arrogance or possibly her belief that she's so loved has led her to refuse to join in on the plea deal the others agreed to, so now she's facing serious jail time.  She could have plead guilty, done community service, paid a fine, and been over it.  But it seems that she thought she would be able to skirt by because people love her.

I, too, was fooled by her. I know they're just actors, but she seemed genuine in interviews and personal appearances.  It just shows that people can fool you and fool themselves into thinking that what they're doing isn't wrong. I'm sure she really thought she was helping her kids, but they really didn't need to go to college at all.  They were doing fine without college, and now her quest to have her kids look different than what they actually are has damaged not only them, but her own life as well.

It's just really sad.

I think this just reinforces the celebrity bubble theory.  LL has been on television pretty much consistently since she was 15-16 years old.  She's spent 35+ years being told how wonderful she is, how people love her, etc.  The day to day life that 99% of us deal with has never been in her wheel house.  That makes me sad for her. In the end,  what she did was wrong and illegal, which comes with penalties, including losing a career and perhaps trying to figure out how to make an orange jumpsuit look fashion forward.   Real life can be a huge kick in the teeth.

I am very curious how they are going to write her character off the show.

I don't think it's sad.  I think it's entitled and hurtful to other people.  What I think is sad is all the kids who worked really hard to get into college and didn't get a spot because Lori and people like her felt their kids were entitled to those spots and were willing to break laws and cheat to get those spots.  College meant absolutely nothing to Lori's daughters who didn't even want to be there and didn't go to classes.  For regular people, college can be life-changing and help them succeed, so cheating them out of that is what is sad.  Feeling so entitled that you think you won't go to jail for fraud and money laundering is arrogant, not sad.

Okay, you're right.  I totally agree that she hurt others and I feel sorry for the kids who should have gotten those spots who didn't.

But I guess what I mean is that it's sad to see someone you liked do this to themselves.  It's hurtful and wrong and because she refused to plead guilty (in her arrogance) she deserves whatever punishment she gets.  I don't really feel sorry for her, I guess. I feel sorry or sad that people can be so stupid and selfish.

It looks like they have edited out Lori’s scenes and reshot to fill in the gap.

This really seems like an over reaction.

The world would not come to an end if they just ran the shows as is.

I disagree. If they continued on with the show as it was originally shot, it would appear that Hallmark was endorsing Lori's criminal behavior. They had no choice to boot her off, especially since it is the Hallmark channel which is pretty much family values.

The show should survive just fine without her. They have edited the remaining episodes and have announced a new season.

I can't believe she didn't take a plea deal!! She missed her chance and is in deeper trouble now than ever.

My guess is not only did Hallmark want her totally out, but I bet that her contract paid her by the episode, plus residuals.    So they invoked her clause that allowed them to get rid of her for being naughty, and that's the reason I'm guessing we'll never see any of her other works for Hallmark either.

I recently saw an episode of Adam12 with OJ Simpson. A couple of days ago I binged watched “Wise Guy” with Kevin Spacey in his debut. Robert Blake murdered his wife and they still play Barretta reruns. Jeffrey Jones is a convicted pedophile and he is still in “Deadwood.”

Plenty of people who committed crimes were in films and TV shows. Should they all be cut out of these productions and these works of art be mutilated?

What Abigail did was bad but it wasn’t murder or kid touching. I think Hallmark overreacted and is more interested in virtue signaling than anything else.

Kevin Spacey was literally cut out of an (at the time) as yet unreleased (but already completed)  film and replaced by another actor, Christopher Plummer, immediately after the allegations about his behavior came to light. As to the other citations, OJ Simpson was never hired as an actor again after the murders—nor was Robert Blake. Jeffrey Jones pleaded guilty to a felony charge of soliciting a minor and the misdemeanor charge of possession of child pornography was dropped; he's only found minor roles in the aftermath.

The point is, once a light was shone on those people, the parts died or dried up. Hallmark's stable of talent have morals clauses. Hallmark fired Laughlin and moved on. That was their right. It's not virtue signaling when their talent breaks the rules of their contract. It's business.

They're not cutting her out of old episodes—that's impossible. They're cutting her out of new ones moving forward.

The show got renewed for a 7th season:

Wow! How can they renew season 7 when they have only aired three episodes from season 6? They are really stepping out on faith that the ratings for season 6 won't be lousy. I guess this is their way of making amends with the fans.

Any bets on these two episodes being the last for season 6? Ratings were going down, total viewership was down after the Christmas show because everyone only wanted to see if Jack was back.

image.png.8d90c28989d547464dee4431b4ef12a1.png

I say they cobbled together the only episodes of the 7 missed (due to Lori ) and came up with only 2 they could show. So then Hallmark, not wanting to miss an opportunity to make a buck after Lori left them high and dry, quickly came up with a season 7 to keep the "Hearties" happy. It's a cluster folks, bad karma from killing Jack. But this is only conjecture on my part, I only keep up on this because it's too hard to look away.

I can clearly see that they edited Lori out of the preview they aired last week. It is the same preview they aired before Lori's arrest. They wrapped up six episodes before the arrest and I'm sure they are going to continue edit and cobble together those remaining episodes.

Yes, but I still think the only remaining episodes we will see of the original season 6 episodes filmed will be the two cobbled together and being shown back to back in May. Good Witch returns in May in that time spot so there is no more room for WCTH (I surmise). (BTW, I just started watching that show (GW) and it seems pretty good.) So I'm guessing there will only be those last two shows in May for WCTH, then they will deal with everything in S7 of WCTH.

BTW, EK's announcements about WCTH seemed really forced, she must be under so much pressure right now. She must have come to the studio with a few changes of clothes because all the announcements seem to be filmed with the same (extremely spring/Easter) backdrop.

I thought Erin said in her announcement that there would be the two back to back episodes and then they would be back on their regular Sunday schedule. So, I am thinking more episodes are coming in this season.

Ok, you may be correct because I have notice that Good Witch is now not scheduled to return until June, which is a month later than normal. I guess LL messed up not only her shows but others as well. Sad that WCTH preempts and delays a good show through no fault of its own.

I'm pretty sure she said (or I read somewhere) that they would air 6 more episodes.  So they'll end up with one less than they would have had with Lori.  Still an almost full season.

I could be remembering that wrong, but that was my impression from somewhere.

I guess we'll know soon enough. I can't get worried about it until I see what actually happens. I plan to complain later if it's terrible. lol

There's not much story line that could be covered in two episodes. I'm assuming they will resume somewhere around the point of the last episode. They will have to address the story lines they began in the first 3 episodes. The'll have to explain what happened to Abigail, the Henry Gowen-Abigail love interest, the new saloon owner and his shady background, why Rosemary looks so sad when the topic of babies arise, Faith's and the doctor's love interest,  Jessie's love interest, and and the entrance of the new mountie. That's a lot to cover in 2 episodes.

I assumed it was because she hasn't gotten pregnant yet.  They've been married for a while.  I'm vaguely remembering Rosemary mentioning early on that she wished she was pregnant, and was told not to worry, it would happen in time.  Did I imagine that?  It's possible.

I wouldn’t mind that. When Rosemary was taking care of the orphan girls in the Christmas movie, I expected her to adopt them by the end of the movie.

I have always liked Rosemary and part of me would like to see her as the mayor because it would give her interaction with almost all of the characters.

It looks like Lori’s defense will be that they were the victims of a fraud. That they were told their “donation” was the standard method that the elites like the Kennedys or Bushes used to get their kids in school. If she has emails and letters or even recordings to that effect she has a defense. Add to the mix a star struck jury full of her fans and she might walk.

I would predict that if it goes to trail she will walk. Like OJ. Like Robert Blake. Like Jussie hate crime guy. Celebrities walk all the time for much more heinous crimes.

I actually thought about that but to have this kid adopted twice is a little unbelievable. Maybe he will wind up living with his aunt and sister, or maybe they (aunt and sister) will move back to Hope Valley so Cody can remain there.

Celebrity men walk all the time.   Celebrity women?  Celebrity women who commit tax fraud no worse than their male counterparts?  They get made examples of.  This could go either way.
