Enh, not necessarily. I've worked in healthcare and hospice for awhile and I was also there when my sister-in-law's sister was dying of cancer. I've seen the dying person tell their spouse to move on and encourage them. I had one patient who actually set up dates for their spouse. My SIL's sister's husband (geez) actually married his wife's dietitian about 6 months after his wife died. Some people in the family thought it was inappropriate but i just reminded them that we don't know what was said when she was dying.  It is the same thing with Carole.  We weren't there. We know what was written in the memoir but even those aren't always completely factual. Several writers of memoirs will tell you that they sometimes fudge the truth to either tell an emotional truth or to make a better story. Some authors even state that a memoir is basically a fictionalized account of life.

Which for all we know was something she just ate on that one day. At that restaurant she where she went to have dinner. It wasn't a weekly or monthly food diary, it was an average menu that she had on one day a year ago. And the whole point of that was to analyze how healthy the celebrity in the piece ate. Carole did good on some points and not so good on other points.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one that cringed at cilantro in tabbouleh!

Going back to to the whole Carole debacle...  I do believe that she has shown that she can produce good, solid work. Depending on the station, she might have done the majority of the writing for the pieces she produced.  Some reporters like to write their own copy but not all. Apparently, Jennings did like to write his own material.  I don't think that discounts though the ability of Carole to write her own books.

I just don't think Carole is all that interested in food,  period. Not to armchair diagnose,  but while Carole appears to have a naturally slender frame,  she also comes across as someone who has anorexic tendencies,  I grew up with a mom who was on that border,  so it's just my observations.

When Tom said he felt like a dog on a leash when referring to his wedding band he said enough.

I'm willing to forgive people for past discretions if there is true awareness and remorse.  Especially at a certain age where lots of stuff just doesn't matter the way it did in younger years.  

However, this went to far. I'm not so concerned about cheating issues but rather his attitude.  LuAnne knew she married a guy who has a propensity for cheating.  The decision to move forward with the marriage was made by two consenting adults - ready to forgive and change.  If Tom strays, they can cross that bridge when they get to to it. 

If, however, Tom feels as if he's on a leash, there is no partnership going on here.  One dominates (whether real or imagined) and the other has to acquiesce.  Humans don't like to be controlled/told what to do.   Free will is what separates us from rocks.  Acting out is a normal response to too much control.  This one little line just doesn't bode well for this couple.

Tapas are spanish and Portuguese. They're basically that region's dim sum. Lots of cheese, olives, steak tidbits, lots of shrimps grilled and in sauces, lots of garlic, some cold some hot, just very delish! I'm an app person. I get bored with a whole entree and love a meal of apps!

Dorinda, who I do believe has an incredibly short attention span, your toast was about you.  Telling someone to stop celebrating although honest would be akin to someone telling you to stop eulogizing your late husband.  Dorinda at some point has to realize and play nice that some stuff is just for the show.  I would like to see more John but Dorinda has sais she wants the attention on her.

Ramona, you got it right, going to a meet and greet is not the same as attending the wedding.  You already covered this with claiming you wanted an invite so you can decline it.  Really-they ran out of money?  I would not spend $10.00 a head on these clowns at this point.  Ramona seems to forget what she did in the Berkshires to Luann.

Bethenny calling Carole boring.  Just not nice, especially after Carole disputed Ramona's claim of Bethenny calling Carole boring.

Was it this epi were Tom and Lulu went in for one of their now-infamous awkward AF kisses to show how passionate and IN LOVE they fucking are, and Tom grabbed Lu by the throat when he went in for the kiss? That? Squicked the hell out of me. They have zero chemistry and I personally don't believe they've ever consummated their relationship. I think it's just for show. And yes, before anyone asks, I do think Luann would throw a huge wedding just for the cameras. She's all about the famewhore optics of everything. She is so obviously calculated on the show, its painful to watch most of the time. And it's total bullshit that she continues to use her countess moniker on IG, if she's so IN LOVE with Tom, then change your damn account name woman. I call your bluff Lu!

I think someone posted that she did lose the countess title once she married Tom. But because she already "branded" herself with the title and launched her clothing, plates and whatnot using the title, I guess she's allowed to use it for that purpose?

I think most HW's deserve a sophomore season, they will finally be relaxing and adjusting to the dynamics to see what they really bring. Ramona is so batshit crazy. I'm amazed has she managed to get this far in life without an arrest record. Even if I believed her version of what happened to her room, how do you sneak out without telling Dorinda? 

Bethany looked really pretty in Chinatown, better then I've seen her look in a long time. That soft grey is a nice color on her. Also, this Bethany that can admit she lost her wedding invite when she called the bride a whore and she deserves to be on the D list now, is the Bethany I like. We don't see enough of her anymore.

Carole, Carole, Carole, you never looked like more of an old biddy then when you were making a sour face about the chocolate ice cream YOU ORDERED! Picky eating is one thing, I will admit I lose patience with it faster then I should (I'm working on being more tolerant of people's food issues. She needs to take several seats.

I did just catch B calling the Lu/Tom "wedding" party in that basement the Aftermath party. Ah B, never change.
