Aria's recent collaboration with A.D. comes to the attention of a surprising source. A.D. presents the PLLs with a choice designed to drive a wedge between them. Meanwhile, everyone tries to find a bit of happiness before all hell breaks loose. Toby returns to Rosewood, and Aria makes a horrifying discovery.

If (and this is an unlikely "if") the Rosewood PD find their evidence, arrest and try the Liars, and AD wins, sitting through the godawful last few episodes might be worthwhile.

Also, that second promo genuinely looks like a parody of this show.

Oh joy, that promo gives me bad feelings about who actually gets married in this episode, and it's not Ezria or Haleb.

Are you thinking Emison? I'm pretty sure it is Haleb. Tyler might just have delicate-looking hands.

Isn't Ashley still with Ted--those hands looked like an older (well older than the liars) womans' hands--so I predict Ashley and Ted

1. It says Liar's.

2. He hasn't been with Ashley in years.

3. I think Ted already had his final appearance even though they could've used some of this filler time to reignite Ashley/Ted.

The wedding is either for Emison or Spoby. I don't know which would be more offensively gross/poorly paced. But either way both will probably get hitched leading up to Aria getting the big expensive fancy one in the series finale. Cause ya know, Aria's the only one whose dreamt of that. Even though before Nicole appeared alive, Ezra suggested they go small and run to another town together for it. I'm really counting on Uber A to make this the worst day of her life.

I'm betting Haleb as far as the rings. They didn't actually use real rings in the tent, just paper ones from the cigars, so I can't imagine they're going to keep those on for much longer. And since we're already getting one wedding in the finale it makes sense that they would just run off now and elope or something.

But the thought of it being Emison makes me want to puke, so maybe I'm just not even letting myself go there.

Emission. The hands are theirs, I am positive.

Yeah, me too, which would make me pissed because they're rushing into a marriage all because of a baby, so I can only picture them a year or two from now, being absolutely miserable and saddled maybe with a baby (if Alison doesn't miscarry or A.D doesn't steal the baby). Like, they're not like Haleb, Ezria, or Spoby, who had dated for a long time in high school and have all this history. Emison just doesn't have it, because Emily was with Paige for most of the series, and Ali was still closeted or whatever until recently.

But I'm in the mindset that getting engaged or getting married so early into a relationship is a very bad idea.

Emily and Ali, possibly for non-love related reasons, like committing insurance fraud or something?

I just can't imagine Toby and Spencer.  I know this show is surreal but that's just dumb.  "Spencer, losing Yvonne to a tragic deer 3 to 35 days ago -- I'm not sure how much time I spent fishing (or not fishing) with Caleb (or myself) -- made me realize that Fate wants us to be together and will kill anyone who gets in the way of that.  Please marry me so we can prevent any further needless deaths."

Know what is sad people try to argue on twitter and such they had history in flashbacks and such saying they were their before Ezria was I will agree that Ezria doesn't happen if it was not for Alison not sure Ezra comes to Rosewood if it was not for Alison

Emison love story don't feel right like it does with Spoby, Ezria, and  Haleb mainly cause you don't become a couple because of a baby I think Spencer and Toby said this due to their baby scare in 6B in a flashback if you remember different words but still applys

I'm like 99% sure the hands are Hanna and Caleb. They didn't really get married last episode, they exchanged cigar rings in a tent with no witnesses. This is likely just them making it legal and official.

Toby is back with excessive amounts of facial hair. He invites Spencer to his magical cabin where nothing goes wrong, but Spencer doesn't seem very receptive(!). Anyways the show wants us to think several months have passed in order to downplay the fresh wound of Yvonne. "Some good days, some bad". Toby is also at Tanner's beck and call and Spencer still won't confide about the stupid Rollins bullshit. This is the one pair I can see staying drifted.

I can't watch any Spencer scene without checking for a difference in clothing, hair, moles, and vocal intonation.  She looked like she was caught when he suggested going to the cabin.  This show has ruined me.

Also, what if Spoby are getting married so that Toby can't testify against Spencer?  Or Haleb works too.

Ah, the confusing continuum that is time in Rosewood. Each episode usually covers 1-2 days, according to the liars' outfit changes, unless otherwise noted (I think they might have jumped a whole week forward after Spencer got shot so she could be up and about to play ping pong and bang Detective Fury and whatnot). Anyway, it probably hasn't been more than 2 weeks since Yvonne died. Toby's beard grows at an imprsssive rate.  It's also probably been like a month or so since Caleb was sleeping with Spencer and now he's married to Hanna so there's that too.

Spousal privilege only applies to things that your spouse tells you after you get married so anything that Toby or Caleb knew about BEFORE the wedding aka all kinds of other crimes like Possession of a Shovel would not be covered under spousal privilege.

Hanna puts her foot down about not getting Ashley involved.....right after getting Ashley involved with the security system BS. But oh well, we'll see if her words mean anything and she's able to own her mistake. Cause the police are finally making a strike.

We can see that Hanna has on a gold ring, so I guess this confirms that those are Haleb's hands in the promo...?

Except the ring is on Hanna's right finger, not the left, so I'm very confused. What, did she decide to wear it on the other hand for fun or to throw A.D off of her engagement/marriage? Also, gold rings for a wedding is an odd choice. Not unheard of, but an odd choice for people like Caleb and Hanna. Hence, going back to my theory that it's Emison. Both rings are more gender neutral for a wedding, and I don't put it past Marlene King to throw Emison into a random, dumb wedding scenario "for the baby".

True, that's definitely odd. But that little clip in the promo after "a Liar's wedding" shows the more feminine looking hand with the ring on the right hand as well. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that that clip is from the wedding, but that's the assumption I made based off of the promo.

A longer version of the first sneak peek clip:

With no new info, just cringy Emison dialogue as they pretend they are experiencing love. Hope their morning was ruined. :)

Cringy is the perfect word for their dialogue.

Emily: You're so beautiful in the morning.
Me: BARF.
Emily: Just because you had a bad night doesn't mean we can't have a good morning.
Me: DOUBLE BARF.

I was actually glad when they found the game in the bedroom because at least it stopped all the terrible attempts at lovey dovey lines.

I was also shaking my head at Emily's logic. She sees the game on the bed but it isn't until she notices there's a new puzzle piece on the game that she says, "Someone was in here. They could still be here!" So if there hadn't been a new puzzle piece, she would have assumed that the game just walked over from Spencer's barn and hoisted itself up onto the bed at Ali's house without any assistance from a human?

Maybe AD order Aria to move it since she is basically kissing AD but right now lol me thinks AD has more on Aria than just that police report that was never filed

The scenario would have to continue to victimize 'poor' Ali since that's all she's good for ever since they brought this character back only to have her be pointless and bland in the end.

Oh....you're right. I didn't even notice that, which is odd because I should have. Maybe we're also assuming they're wedding rings, or that the gold ring on the right hand is some sort of engagement/wedding ring, all because of the subtitle card and the voiceover during that shot.

Again, very confusing because it's either an actual shot of two people getting married, or the promo monkeys are lying liars and the shot is not what it's said to be.

I actually really enjoyed this one.  It had all the things I like about the show.    I liked that all the li with all their end game pairings at the end.    The friendship stuff worked for me.    I liked Hanna and Caleb's wedding.  Hey that way if Hanna goes to prison Caleb can get a conjugal.

I may not like Aria or Ezra but the two of them really do deserve each other.

My gods, what was the deal with the sex fest?! Less than 24 hours left on their clock and instead of getting a lawyer everyone was getting it on!

Oh except for the duo getting married.  “I’m so happy you found a man who loves you and protects you and fucked your best friend a few weeks ago…”  Opps, guess Ashley forgot that last part. Maybe AD should stop watching porn and fill her in.

I have no words for Aria except what a bitch!  She finally tells Ezra what she could have from the start instead of betraying her friends and he doesn’t give a shit anyways. I never thought I’d say this but this show has gone so far with Aria that not only did Ezra look smarter, but I liked him better in that scene.

And I realized something else by the time the credits rolled.  I don’t really care who killed Charlotte except to give them a high five because she probably deserved to die.

Based on the "I fell down" scene in the Previously On segment, I thought Ali was going to miscarry in this episode.  Guess they're saving that for next week.

That sex/sex/sex/marriage montage made me throw up in my mouth a little.  Well, Ali/Emily was okay, though I did think Ali was very reckless leaving a bunch of burning candles out in the middle of the woods.  Smokey the Bear would have slapped her face.  Toby / Spencer was pretty nauseating, though I did wonder if that was Twincer until they showed the gunshot wound.  Did Aria and Ezra fuck before or after she told him about all the crap she did for AD?

Tanner is back and in charge of the investigation because Furey was too involved to continue.  I'm sure glad they got an unbiased professional to replace him -- oh wait, right, she persecuted them for two seasons.  When she said that the reason they wound up in the Dollhouse was because they weren't honest with her, I wanted to slap her.  If they had at any point told anything to her she would have twisted it around to make them look guilty.  She pretty much admitted that tonight.  "I've always thought you were guilty of something.  I'm just not sure what".  GFY.

Two more episodes, the light at the end of the  tunnel is there... except its IMK driving a train full of nonsense at us.

I was so on board with this episode for the first thirty minutes...and then they had to go and ruin it. If there's one single shipping scene next week after what we got tonight, I'm going to lose it. I can't wait to skip right over that god-awful romance montage when I rewatch.

I absolutely called Aria going to confess to Archer's murder to win her friends back. But I'm sure by next week they'll all be totally over it and back to being besties with her. Ugh, these girls. Aria is such a selfish bitch and I'd like for both her and Ali to disappear off the face of the earth. Ezra can go too.

Major, major Twincer vibes in that sex scene with Toby. It was almost like she was trying to seduce him, and after she was so dismissive in their earlier scene, it just felt so...unnatural. I'm not sure what to make of the apparent gunshot scar on her chest though. It could be a sign that this really is Spencer, but it just as easily could be the twin going all-out to pretend to be her.

A little less convinced now than I was at the end of the last episode that Mona isn't A.D. That last scene was pretty weird and definitely made me pause. But I'm still leaning toward her just being sucked back into the game, like she warned Hanna would happen. And maybe being Charlotte's killer too, although I really don't want that. Why do they have to keep making her so shady, can she just be on their side for good now? Jesus.

I'm still very suspicious of Ali. I caught A.D.'s use of "wait for it" while on the phone with Aria and we all know whose iconic line that is. There were some other little things about her that made me think as well. And I still feel like they showed us that clip of her "falling" in the previously for a reason.

This episode wasn't bad but Holy Ship Pandering, Batman! I thought Emison was sweet and Haleb getting married was to be expected (glad Mama Marin was included though), but Toby's fiancee (wife?) like literally just died a couple of weeks and no one needs to see more Ezria, plus a four-way ship montage is just ridiculous but I'm sure it made a lot of people on twitter happy.

Tanner's back and all cocky about solving this murder even though exactly zero murders have been solved in all of Rosewood's history.

Weren't Spencer's parents already getting a divorce? Don't get me wrong, I loved watching her drag Aria but girl, your dad has fathered half of Rosewood so pretty sure he's to blame for his marriage imploding. Wish the scene of the girls going off on Aria could have been longer. I would totally watch an entire episode of the 4 of them just yelling at Aria for being a shitty friend and just an all around sucky Ezra obsessed weasel. I particularly loved when Aria was all "Ezra could go to jail!!!" and Alison was all "so what?" like she couldn't care less. That's the Ali we need back in our lives.

One final red-herring with Ezra and Caleb finding Mona with the game. Like obviously she's not the one behind it, she's just mentally unstable and obsessed with the  idea of the game. This is why Hanna was so selfish for getting her involved because clearly Mona's gone down her A rabbit hole and being involved wasn't healthy for her.

I just don't buy Aria's brand new FU attitude towards AD -- and of course the smartphone A.D gave Aria explodes and catches fire (funny, but it didn't look like a Samsung Galaxy Note 7).

I guess Toby has gotten over what's her name.

Toby seemed high or something the entire episode. I'm not quite sure what, but he seemed different, almost zen-like. His "oh yeah, I totally DID invite you over" made me either think that HE had some twin, or he's on the A.D Team. I guess they're both conveniently forgetting about Yvonne's death probably only two weeks ago. It DID put me off of Spencer for good this time. There's no sympathy there for screwing her ex boyfriend who just lost his wife. And I thought it was bad that she decided to go screw Caleb, even with Hanna's wishes.

Right, I guess we're supposed to believe that Mona's A.D or on the team. Sure, show. All I see is someone who's been introduced to the new game and back into her obsessive ways. I'm sure she's trying to join the A.D team in order to find out who it is, like she's been doing for years now since the game was taken from her.

Speaking of her trying to find out who A.D is, I laughed when Aria thought she could meet A.D so quickly. Girl, Mona tried finding out who Uber A was for months. You're not going to find out in a couple of weeks. Like, damn.

And, of course, Ezra found out and he was totally chill with it. I guess this is the redemption arc for him so Marlene King can say that she totally acknowledged the creep factor? Too little too late, especially if there are so few consequences for Ezra.

I really wanted to find at least Haleb's marriage sweet. Unfortunately, they tainted Haleb, which is a damn shame because I would have totally loved their marriage scene before the time jump. I'm trying really, really hard to be ok with them again.

I guess Emison's sex scene was romantic? Except all I can think about is Ali's "you know you want to kiss me" and her screwing/not screwing Ian. So Kissing Rock is kind of not romantic.

I'm really over Spencer's snooty attitude about this whole game. Aria joined the A.D Team, destroyed a nursery, and planted a phone in your house. I'm glad Spencer acknowledged that the Malcolm thing was not right either, but I just didn't buy everyone turning on Aria just like that. It's like this is their first time dealing with a betrayal...oh wait, no it isn't. Because this kind of thing happens every season. Maybe not to this extent, but it has happened. It's not like she physically harmed anyone like Toby, or lied and manipulated a teenager like Ezra. Spencer didn't get nearly as pissed at Toby and he actually attacked her in the shower (did we get that officially confirmed, by the way?). So I don't know why Aria's so different here. Oh wait, I know. Because Marlene King needed to check it off of her Liar List, where the liars turn on their own completely.

Only Mona hasn't been pissing me off this season, and only because I see her clear demise as a result of helping these dumbasses. It's sad when I'm rooting for Tanner to finally figure it out. They're just so nonchalant about all the crimes they've committed.

Also, good on Marco for escaping. I know it was for Spoby's reunion, but he got out, unharmed.

This is the last few episodes of the last season of what is essentially a teenager show so I give the ship pandering a pass.  Honestly the Aria/Ezra ship is the only one I dislike but then again at this point they actually do deserve each other and not I. A good way.  The rest of the ships I am fine with.

These are the Liars when have they ever retained lawyers or even told their parents that they were being stalked/blackmailed?  It's not their way so...

i Loved everyone turning on Aria.  But I also loved Spencer admitting that no one was exactly innocent.  Spencer has always been my favorite character and she continues to make the show for me.

Spencer blaming Aria for her cheating lying father and mother getting divorced was ridiculous. Spencer's mom had already kicked him out. Spencer attitude is annoying.

How the hell did AD (or the cell phone) know Aria was going to throw the phone out the window?

Liked seeing Hannah and Caleb getting married and finally Ezra knows the truth as well as Hannah's mom.

After how treated her friends and all she's done, she's going to question Aria choosing her fiancee over her? Really Ali? I don't understand why any of them even speak to her.

Emison I can't stand.  What was Ali going to hide when the police showed up at the house?

Toby just being over his wife already and having sex with Spencer because she knocked on the door was stupid. He should have rebuffed her.

Why did AD clear Aria of the murder, then put the body in her trunk?

Ezra does deserve to be in jail. The girls know that. Ezra even knows it. He just brainwashed his victim enough to know that it's not a real threat so he doesn't care. The liars doing a bunch of dumb illegal stuff doesn't make Ezra less guilty.

This has always been a pet peeve of mine with TV and movies, characters stoping in the middle of a dangerous situation to kiss or get it on because who the hell has time for that when you're about to die. But I’ll give them a pass here though because the danger wasn’t imminent, it was more that they were waiting for something bad to happen and had several hours to kill so they all collectively decided to use that time to bang their loved ones because what else were they gonna do.

Yeah Toby definitely seemed off. I hate that every character possibly having a secret twin is a legitimate point of discussion on this show, but hopefully Toby is just acting weird because he's still grieving the fiancee he literally just buried and his mind just isn't focused. I also thought he might have been drunk but I don't know. Honestly the Spoby reconnection was a weird choice. Toby didn't seem to be in the right place emotionally for it and Spencer looked like she was scared about going to jail and just looking to an old source of comfort.

What could Ezra really be mad about? Everything Aria wrote in that report was true. He is a statutory rapist and he did take advantage of her. I hate that they had Aria once again deny that he did anything wrong to her when he tried to half-heartedly take responsibility for being a creep. This wasn't the first time Aria has given this sort of speech and I'm over it.

  • I'm already over the Twincer thing after this episode.  Both the dialogue and Troian's acting choices were really heavy handed here.  "Have you ever felt like you don't belong?"  Yes, Twincer. Stoop kid spent the entire first season being harassed by the cops, having evidence planted against him, and being generally outcast by the teen folk of Rosewood. But we get it, you were probably cast off at Radley and super lonely so now you've got me yelling at the TV and eyeing every piece of Troian's face. But when Spencer walked into the cabin and looked around slyly and Toby said something along the lines of "That doesn't seem like the Spencer I know," I knew that they were just screwing with us and Spencer is probably just fucking insane.
  • No sympathy for Aria.  Her noble little martyr act did nothing for me.
  • Hanna's mom continues to be the best.  I hope she leaves this reveal unscathed.
  • Interesting that everyone agreed to Hanna's pact and Ali just...sat there.  Speaking of Ali, looks like we are going back to the night of the endless yellow tank tops, the sweater, and kissing rock next week. UGH.

This epsisode was so good until their final (hopefully) act of pandering to the ships.  The stakes were high, there was action, I enjoyed those first 30 minutes more than I've enjoyed this show since the EzrA reveAl. So they can still be good, it just takes the third to the last episode to do it.
