But since I just finished doing a marathon of the original Prison Break, I REALLY need to see D'Shawn Cress Williams as a good guy again! Link to comment

Kromm May 19, 2017 Share May 19, 2017 That suit is WAY too garish. Which is a shame, because the rest looks okay. Link to comment
scarynikki12 May 20, 2017 Share May 20, 2017 If it's anything like Arrow, then he'll have a suit upgrade after season 1. Link to comment
Trini May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 They said this isn't part of the 'Arrow-verse', and with the production in Atlanta, it's more likely to stay that way. But I'm still wary of this being on the CW. Giving it a chance, though. Link to comment
lavenderrose May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 Just watched the trailer and I'm so excited! We rarely get to see black superheroes in comics and in the media so I have high hopes. - I thought Cress Williams was an odd choice at first, but after watching the trailer I've warmed up to him. - Love that his daughters are going play major roles in the show. I'm familiar with Anissa from the Outsiders comics. I'm glad that both daughters and his wife are dark skinned. - Good for the CW for picking up the first season, but I hope they stick with it instead of canceling it after the first season. I'm glad that this won't be a cross over show b/c I hate Arrow and only mildly like The Flash. Link to comment
Trini July 12, 2017 Share July 12, 2017 Here's a summary of Black Lightning in the comics, for those, like me, who aren't familiar with the character: 2 Link to comment

Trini December 15, 2017 Share December 15, 2017 I hope they don't try and connect this show to the other DC shows. But if there are any crossovers, I only want characters from the other shows to show up on BL, not the other way around. Link to comment
