I was upset to learn Ashleigh Banfield would not be coming back as host of live Rescue because I love her. But, after reading about Matt Iseman, I am ok with him. He started his career as a physician so his medical background should be an asset to the show

I actually liked Ashleigh as the host.  Don't like the new one at all.  Just another guy who thinks messy rolled up sleeves are sexy.  And, of course, they have to have that Sticks person.  His "look at me and my muscles" was the main reason I quit watching Live PD.  Why do they put a cop on a show that should be dedicated to Fire Departments and EMTs?  I wish Night Watch would come back.

I really did try to warm up to Ashleigh as the host of Live Rescue. I watched her show on HLN for a bit too. There was a time when she was on MSNBC years ago where she did pretty well carrying a show by herself.

I don't know why they couldn't try to find another woman to host the show. I admit that Matt having been a Dr is a plus when hosting a show like this. Now both shows are sausage fests though. I get tired of Sticks too and the way he's placed on a number of the spin offs in an attempt to lure viewers in.

Don’t watch Live Rescue.  Sounds like another A&E Penis Party.

Man, last nights (fri) Live PD was a bunch of merry idiots.  The guy who was so desperate for a cigarette, the moron who tried running from cops in handcuffs, and the woman who executed quite the hit and run.

Also, not excited that fame ho Lamb will be Tom’s cohost.

I got a kick out of the Lawrence IN K-9 closing his own car door.

I know exactly what happened with the tow case they just showed, with the woman admitting she got in the car to stop the man from towing it by climbing in it.   I can say exactly how that is going to end, if the cops do it the right way.   They make her get out, and tow the car.

See watching "Parking Wars" for all of these years is educational.

I love Insp Sroka (I hope I’m spelling that right) in East Providence. He’s always smiling and seems like nothing could ever aggravate him.  Some of the hot-head cops in other departments could take a page out of Sroka’s book.

So the guy in cuffs who 'dindu nuffin' actually punched another kid AND viciously carjacked somebody?  "GRANDMA!!!"

I don't know his name or area (Salinas?) but I refer to the one cop as Officer Guyliner.

When they have cases like this guy I am ashamed to say I start thinking “maybe just a little police brutality wouldn’t be a bad thing”.  I know it’s wrong but I want to knock some sense into these idiots. We don’t see how these officers do it. I wouldn’t last a day on the force.

Was it 4 or 5 times the officer told the black grandfather to drop the butcher knife the other night? Honestly, it's like some folks all of a sudden can't comprehend the English language.

That actually made me laugh.  The grandfather was like, "Huh? Drop what now?"

Whenever people don't follow simple orders because they legit seem confused by those simple orders, it cracks me up.

"Hands up!!"  "Huh?"

"Keep your hands out of your pocket!!" "Huh? Why are you yelling at me?"

"Do you have id?" Person then reaches into vehicle to get id and cop explodes "Don't reach into your car or I will tase you bro!!!"   "Huh? Why are you yelling at me?  I ain't do nuthin!"

Oh, the good times I have watching this show.

I've been watching Friday's episode on my DVR this morning. I laughed when I heard the Bad Boys song which is used as the COPS theme playing loudly at that gas station in Tulsa, OK. 😆

Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney's body has been recovered.

Sadly, the Birmingham police announced they have found the little girl's body, and arrest people for the crime.    The people in custody no connection to the family.

Watching this show makes me despair for America.  Makes it seem like all the good economic news is a lie.  If there are fewer unemployed people, and workers are earning more, and more people are out of poverty -- why are we seeing so many homeless, hopeless, drug-abusing people everywhere?

The Friday and Saturday shows were pretty good this week.  The bears were a nice change, and there were fewer chases going nowhere.  Those are a waste of time.

Loved all the animal action on this week's ep. And I'm glad the bear climbed down before the end of the episode so we knew what happened.

In my own city, on that very day, there was some excitement because a moose was running around downtown. It too was tranqed and taken outside the city.

And later that evening when I was out playing PokeGO, I spotted a couple of dear in someone's yard near one of our skating arenas.

That's awesome!  I love wildlife so much.  What city are you in?

A "flock" of turkeys lives near me*.  Occasionally I have to stop to let them cross the road.  There's also a herd of deer in the same area.  They're beautiful, but dangerous, especially at dusk.  Those crazy kids like to dart into the road just as cars are driving by.

*Just looked it up, and apparently a group of turkeys is called a "rafter."  Who knew??

I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick; a small city in eastern Canada. We have a large river dividing hte city in half with a lot of park/undevelopped flood plains, as well as some good sized parks in the city itself. Plus our suburbs don't sprawl out too much, so wildlife tends to have easy ways into the core.

About 5-8 years ago, when I lived on the other side of the river, I remember walking to work one day (before I had a smart phone). My route went through the biggest park in the city (Odell park; lots of forest with trail) and I spotted a young moose on the trail just in front of me. He wandered away after a few minutes. 🙂

Where I live now, I've seen 2-5 deer relatively regularly as well in various spots near my place.

No bears, but in some of the outskirt villages, I've heard people report bear sitings as well.

As for the moose I originally mentioned, he was safely relocated outside the city.

I couldn’t find a separate forum for Live Rescue, but as I watched last night’s episode this morning, as usual, “wildfire” season starts and my hide starts chapping.  If this is not the place to post, please let me know.

/ranton

San Bernardino is one of several huge counties in California that contains urban, sub-urban, and rural environments that people live in.  They also include large swaths of Federal & State controlled lands.  In my humble opinion, as a native Californian and one that knows all too well the hard work involved in creating defensible space, not enough effort is being put into fuel reduction and defensible space during the “off” season by private property owners, utility companies, businesses, county, state and federal fire agencies.  Each county should have a huge herd of goats and fire prevention specialists out in the field to reduce the fuel load during the OFF season.

But they don’t.

Cal Fire is responsible for over 30 million acres of land in the State of California.  Last year they admit to only doing preventative measures to reduce the fuel load on 23,000 acres.

WTF

There is no way in hell that I would have left my dogs INSIDE my house, so that I could evacuate.  I don’t care what instructions or promises the fireman gave her, they had to leave them there because one’s collar was loose, got off leash and ran back in and the house wasn’t even on fire?

I don't know what happened afterward, since I FF'd through the rest of the show once they abandoned those dogs in the house and went away because THE FIREMAN SAID THE HOUSE WAS GOING TO GO UP.  I was hoping to see some update or caption at the end saying the house really didn't burn and the dogs were fine.  Are you kidding me, fireman?  And girl who looked old enough to know better than to leave your dogs to die a fiery death?  Even if the house didn't catch fire, imagine the terror of those poor dogs trapped alone with chaos and flame all around them.  Don't California firefighters have some kind of plan in place for situations like this?  By now?

One of her neighbors took the dogs down the hill. They were rescued.

Thanks so much, @Schnickelfritz!  I'm very relieved to know that.

Watching the ep now, the neighbour got the dogs about 20 minutes in, the homeowner showed up about 35 minutes in and was told what was going on. His house did catch fire, but the home owner was able to have a fire fighter help get important stuff out (or to try to).

Damn that is a scary situation all around; those fire men are exhausted, just trying to clear the zone and fight it.

There's a lot of people who are homeless ,either they have mental illness, hiding from the IRS because they owe a bunch of taxes, hiding from the authorities, possibly owe a huge amount of child support or alimony, or have warrants, running from the law,etc...... Many others are alcoholics or drug addicts that decide to live that way and bum off of society.

If all he found was the joint and Grandma wasn't drunk or high while driving,

However, if I remember correctly she got pulled over because when she drove by the cop, the cop smelled a strong odor of marijuana which suggests that it was being smoked while she was driving.

Loved the lady and her dog Twinkle from Nye County -- especially after seeing that she gave Twinkle some water before she took a drink herself.  And then at the end, letting us know that she's not on meth, crack, Adderall, etc. -- she's just a New Yorker.  What a cutie-pie!

Tulsa's Chamber of Commerce needs to ask the show to stop filming there.  The city does not show itself in a good light.

Thankfully, cases are making their way through so that states such as Colorado, Vermont, Maryland & Florida are finally coming around to the idea that the alleged “odor” that cops claim they can smell is NOT probable cause.

I agree that cops are often somewhat arbitrary about probable cause, the flip side is that the odor of smoked marijuana is very strong and pungent (as is tobacco smoke) and very obvious to anyone who doesn't smoke. In this case, maybe the cop made it up, maybe he was mistaken, and maybe he was correct.

Most of the time when these idiots get pulled over , they are carrying drugs, guns, open containers of alcohol, or they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  Way too many driving around who are physically impaired and don't belong behind the wheel of a vehicle. If you want to get messed up ,stay at home and do it responsibly.  So__ many people get killed or maimed by road accidents due to bad decisions by drunk or drugged up drivers .

Like the woman riding around smoking pot with her three year old granddaughters in the car?  I am glad they smelled the pot and pulled her over. Of course, it wasn’t a big deal since her windows were rolled down.

Nye County is coming back!  I am excited to see them back.

I couldn’t (respectfully) disagree more.  🙂  I absolutely cannot stand them.  It’s just the same call all the time, it seems like.  People living in absolute filth and squalor.  I ffw’d when they come on.  Between that and the commercials, I can get through this in about 1:45.

I’ll miss Salinas and Lafayette.

Honest criminal on Saturday night.  After he was captured after a chase, cops ask if he knows how many people he put in danger with his driving and running.  He just says - the only thing he was thinking of was the weed in the car and that he didn’t want to go back to jail.

LoL at the Nye? county dude with all the feathers in his hat. And Dan said he wasn't a flight risk.  I think sometimes these people just show up to be on camera.

I haven't counted, but I FF the chases (both car and foot), the burglaries in progress (there's never anyone there), and the vehicle searches (yes, there will be drugs and pipes).  I think I'm down to about 20 minutes.  I watch for the personal interactions, the "weirdos", the outrageous behavior.  And the dogs.  Love the dogs.

I also FF. Watch about 30 mins of footage. The many spin-offs have saturated the market and become predictable and boring. Not to mention the bro-show commentators on set.

I find myself taking more frequent breaks from watching weekly due to the continued bro-show. I do admit to enjoying the episodes where Sticks hasn't been on set recently. He's gotten pushed so hard and placed on other spin off shows as bait to get people to watch that I've become even less interested in him then I already was previously.  When he's not on Live PD Tom gets to do more then make a couple comments outside of his missing segments.

What gets me is when they cut away from something happening to go to a call that they are still minutes away from and we just watch the officer driving, not even chasing someone. If they are racing to a burglary call and are ten minutes out, stay with the action until they are closer.

I like the show much better when he's gone too. I had hoped Sticks being on other spin offs that would mean he'd leave LivePD. Nope. Now he's everywhere. LivePD, spin offs, he won't go away.
