Nope.  And I’m not going to eat brown rice and vegetables either.

Just wanted to say I have lived in Las Vegas for almost 16 years and no one decorates their houses with such gaudy colours and finishes.  Even the casinos go for a more muted classy luxury feel in their rooms.  I am not sure why she thinks that this over the top decor is "very Vegas".

Away from the tourist areas this is a town like any other, except that a lot of our movie theaters are located in locals' casinos.

Oh, and our water is extremely hard.  The thought of keeping a black toilet or a purple sink free of limescale is daunting to say the least.

The only people I can see buying these properties are Airbnb owners who want a gimmick to help rent the place.

To take a pictures of the tackiness to spread around the Internet, no doubt. I've stated that her designs remind me of old Wild West bordellos, as depicted in old TV shows and movies. Or they're the kind of places the characters in "My Name Is Earl" would find "classy".

Even the bordellos in Alaska, such as Dolly's Place in Ketchikan, were classier.

Oh goody, they're in my neighborhood tonight.

The only people who would buy her designs are tourons buying a second home, who think this is how people here live.

They seem like nice enough people but I don't think I could spend more than 5 minutes with them.

I do hope HGTV is giving all the spin-off couples another round of episodes and not just Aubrey and Bristol because frankly I find them the least talented and the most phony. They are, however, probably considered by the network to be the most photogenic - both are pretty easy on the eyes. So I worry that's all that matters to the executives. I want more Ken and Anita, dammit! And whatever happened to Tarek and Christina? They filmed new episodes of their show eons ago and HGTV has yet to air them. Strange. Not that I would necessarily be heartbroken to see T&C go away forever, but it's odd that we're back to Aubrey and Bristol already without any new episodes of from the Mothership.

They both seem nice but these designs....ugh. This house just needed a modern farmhouse update. But more is more with this couple.

I like them too.* I find Bristol endearing - he knows that he's the muscle and doesn't pretend to be anything more - and Aubrey seems to actually know about construction and not just "design." And they seem to genuinely like and respect each other, unlike T&C. But oh, their work is so gaudy. Mirror tiles in the shower? How many people want to look in the mirror while they shower? And then they pat themselves on the back and decide that because they did such a great job, they're going to price the house $100k above the comps. No wonder it hasn't sold.

*except for the fact that they named their child after a leafy green.

My DVR cut out early. The last thing I heard was that they dropped the price from $550K to $525K. What happened after that?

I too live in Las Vegas and tuned in mainly for that reason, and I concur with other local posters that people here are the same as people everywhere. We are not looking for "Vegas" glitz in our home decor. We go on pinterest and keep up on trends like everyone but if we like a color we add a pillow and a vase. Not paint our kitchen cabinets. The reason I watch is that I think it's entertaining to see what crazy stuff Aubrey comes up with. I don't have to live with it so it doesn't bother me, and it's way more interesting than the same ol' same ol' gray and white we get from C&J and T&C week after week. Plus I like B&A as individuals. T&C seem slimy to me, and C&G belong to that homophobic church which I can't get past. So I will keep watching just for the fun of it.

I like the Vegas couple quite a bit, actually.  Aubrey's voice can be a bit grating, but otherwise they're pleasant enough to watch.  While their taste is certainly not mine, it's nice to see something different.  I watch all of these Flip or Flop shows, mostly to see the transformations, so it's nice to see something that is completely different from the other shows (even if it is horribly tacky).  I also love seeing the crazy hairstyles Aubrey will have for each open house.

I just watched this week's episode.  I actually had high hopes for this one.  The animation of their plans looked very promising, but just like every previous episode, Aubrey turned it into a hot mess!  I will say they did a great job on the exterior and the front/back yards.  I couldn't tell where exactly the house was, but I'm assuming because of the lot size, it is on the outskirts of LV or Henderson and obviously, the area is zoned for horses.  That being said, I would think the buyer is NOT looking for "Vegas Glam", but just a nice normal house with a lot of land.  The L shaped part of the kitchen came out nice, but the island was just too big and the furnishings were all too oversized and mismatched!  The staging in the main areas was a disaster!  They should have installed a door to the laundry room.  It was a good decision to relocate the bathroom, but again, it was a fail due to Aubrey's tacky design.  All the floor/wall tile was too much/too busy for such a small room.  As usual, the light fixtures and accessories were all horrid in every room!  The master bathroom was a nice size, but it was ruined with the mirror tiles in the shower, the tacky chandelier, the mirrored mirrors, etc.  If they were going to raise the price to $550k, they most definitely should have installed a garage and staged the gated carport area as a storage area for horse equipment/supplies.

At this point, Bristol has totally given up questioning Aubrey's designs.  He's obviously the more sensible one of the two and I think she should consider some of his input when it comes to colors and "feature" walls.

I miss Ken and Anita - they are my favorites!!  I hope they return soon!

My guess is this is the area just east of the outlet mall, between Warm Springs and Windmill.

I know they usually pick homes near Green Valley so maybe.  I was thinking around Wayne Newton's area.  I'll have to look it up...

I Magnum PI'ed this and I think it's 156 E Mesa Verde, LV. It looks like it's still under Bristol's name. I am pathetic, I know. In my snooping I also found 2620 Twin Pines. This is a Stone Canyon condo that is less than a mile from my house. Look it up on Zillow, where it was listed just yesterday, and one glance tells you it has Aubrey written all over it, LOL.

Great minds think alike!  I just looked it up.  Yes, it is 156 E Mesa Verde.  You were spot on with the area! I can't find an active listing for it though.   It looks like it hasn't been for sale since it was bought by Bristol back in Aug 2017.

OMG!!! with the Stone Canyon condo!!  That has to be one of the WORST ones!  And that's saying A LOT!

I would take the "before" - it would have been a lot easier and less expensive to fix.  Trying to change Aubrey's "after" wouldn't be worth the time or the money!

I also found this gem recently bought by Bristol.  I'm surprised because:   1. it's out in Boulder City and  2. it looks like they overpaid by $100k for it.  LOL!

It is. She’s the listing agent. It’s terrible, though. What if I don’t want to decorate ALL of my house in blue?

It still wasn't sold.  It's not just the glitz, it's the over the top clutter everywhere that gets to me.  One of the first rules of staging a house for sale is less is more.  Aubrey puts 1000 'design elements' in every room, paneling, mirrors, wrought iron, whatever, and then designs massive kitchen islands that completely dwarf the space and fills the rest with oversized furniture which she covers in mass quantities of sparkly throw pillows in neon colors.  Aubrey's designs make me dizzy.

I was finally able to catch up on the first two episodes of this season. I love this show because Aubrey's use of color is insane. And I mean insane in the literal sense, where one is carted away wrapped up tightly in a white coat! Except in Aubrey's case it would be a coat of baby food green. You know, that kind of green where it coordinates with gray for kind of a military camouflage vibe?

Seriously, Aubrey knows how to bring the entertainment with her use of color, sparkles/feathers/mirrors, and her hair styles during open houses. I don't know what's wrong with me because I wouldn't follow Aubrey's decorating style or inspiration, but I am always so happy to watch what she pulls together. Is she in on the craziness, do you think?

Every now and then, there's a design element that I like, such as the metal stair railing in the first episode. Since the stair railing was covering three levels of the house, it did add a cool element. Then the design went off the rails (ha! rails, railing, get it? I'll be here all night, folks.

Then we move to the ranch house, which is in horse country. I don't ride horses, don't know horse people, etc., but I just can't imagine that the decorating and remodeling done by Aubrey is what a horse owner is looking for in living quarters. I imagine that there's a lot of dust and manure. That's a lovely image reflected back at you from your mirrored tiles as you wash away the horse adventures!

I really do like to watch both Aubrey and Bristol, including the fact that I think it would be fascinating to spend an afternoon with them and get tanked on tequila. For some reason, I think they'd be a blast. Don't judge me.

Just when I think Aubrey can't design anything tackier than the previous week, she proves me wrong!  Tonight's episode with the blue and lime green being the "theme" of the home was just terrible!  I think this is the first time I've heard Bristol repeatedly question Aubrey's color choice.  The "brokers" that tour the house must get paid a ton of $$ to say how much they love the house because no one in their right mind would gush about this hot mess for free!  Instead of moving the kitchen over to the middle of the room and having a dining set on each side, they should have EXTENDED the kitchen and went with the more formal dining room area.  The island could have been used for casual dining.  The banquette was a dumb idea and I think additional cabinets would have been a better use of the space.  The green tile backsplash and the island tile were just too much!  One or the other...or better yet...neither!  The furnishings, light fixtures and accessories were all ugly!  The "bookshelf" was horrible!!  The green doors and trim were awful!  Just awful!  One of the brokers commented how she preferred that look over painting the walls.  Obviously, she's never lived in a house where trim, moldings and doors needed to be repainted.  It's 1000x easier to paint the walls!  The master bath shower had no glass enclosure and the tile was so busy!

Adding the office was a good call.

That neighborhood didn't look like a $315k+ neighborhood.  Sadly, whoever bought it, probably has the most expensive house on the block, but not the nicest!

Wow! Aubrey can even make apple green ugly. That takes a special talent. Green everywhere! On the doors, in the kitchen, the bathrooms & the bedrooms. The fireplace was ugly. The fron courtyard painted gray was ugly, too. It looked like a prison yard. It sold for $308,000. Their profit was $72,180. Ugh!!!

Just two things.

1. Bristol and Aubrey, you don't get to use the term "back in the day" until you're a member of AARP. Please stop. If your "day" doesn't include women in girdles, black and white TV with only a handful of channels, or candy bars that were at most, $.05, you need to shut up.

2. How many Sesame Street characters have given their lives so that they can be strewn all over Aubrey's furniture? Muppet Lives Matter.

The blue and green house may be worse even than the condo that had the purple sink. With the blue and green house there was no place for the eye to rest.

Aubrey really outdid herself with that one.  When they started spray painting the brick baby poop green, I felt dizzy.  Apparently, it hasn't occurred to Aubrey that most people don't necessarily have a particular color scheme in mind when house hunting and locking them into something super 'trendy' or super dominating by painting all the fixtures a bright weird color is far more likely to turn buyers off than draw them in.  I doubt many potential buyers have furniture at home to coordinate with that hideous, obtrusive color scheme and its not the kind of thing they can just live with until they can paint.  Painting brick is almost always a bad idea, painting it baby poop green is an abomination.

Those colors are not going to wear well over time, even if the buyers love them.  A couple years of navy and chartreuse will be more than enough for them to want a change.  That's why real designers add color with things like rugs and pillows and picture frames that are fairly inexpensive and far simpler to replace than brick fireplaces.

While they seem like very nice people, Aubrey's over the top style reminds me of a little girl decorating doll houses. How is this profitable? For a buyer you're either having to purchase furnishings to match everything or spend more money paintingall new everything. I also don't understand the Vegas Glam. Everyone I've known in Vegas had normal homes.

I guess I'm just too practical. In too many of these places, I see rooms with dramatic lighting where I would have put a ceiling fan. As far as I'm concerned, it's a necessity in living and sleeping areas. But what do I know about heat? I don't live in Las Vegas. I only live in Texas.

I agree.  Her childish 'babytalk' voice doesn't help either, but most of what Aubrey does seems like it would be perfect for the average 5 year old girl's bedroom.

I agree and have been thinking this since the Las Vegas show began.

Aubrey should work for Mattel designing Barbie Doll houses. She could remain true to her little girl inner child idea of what is glamorous. All that purple, pink and teal, and chintzy bling... the young girls would love it.

I don’t dislike Aubrey and Bristol, (well, except for her voice,) and it’s fun to tune in to see what crazy design she’ll come up.

Your brain must hurt even more listening to her talk about retro as if she knows what the meaning of retro is. I was only around for half of the seventies so I didn't know the furniture existed then. I remember it showing up everywhere in teen catalogs and mall stores in the 90's. It was very impractical so it's something I could see Aubrey flocking to.

I found this show last season and I cannot get over how tacky the homes end up.  Blergh and yuck to the "decorating" skills of Aubrey.  Every reveal tops itself with the level of gaudy she reaches.  I keep watching because I like the reno part and I like to see the transformations but Aubrey needs to a few more design lessons.  Today I saw the episode where they bought a house that was marinated in dog urine.  Wow, it was tacky when she finished the staging.  She says they have to stage the rooms, so that the buyers know the function of each room - so they're not "confused".   The only thing confusing is why you use so much chrome, crap colors, and big stupid lighting fixtures.   That glass flower sink in the master bathroom was pretty - it looks great in the showroom, but not many people would be able to adapt to something so fancy on a daily basis.

One thing that annoyed me last season is when Aubrey would swan into various showrooms (w/o Bristol) to purchase items and then brag about how she could talk the seller into giving her great deals.  What I saw was her going into stores looking like a young blond woman and using her looks to get the "pretty girl" discount.  No one can convince me that she didn't go alone/play up her looks to wangle cheaper prices but she made it sound like she's a smart businesswoman or is stellar at bargaining or something instead of looking like a showgirl and playing on men's hormones.   (Sorry, no disrespect to men).

Other than that, I like them as a couple - they are low key and don't seem to be auditioning for something.

Last night's black and white monstrosity was Aubrey at her seizure inducing finest with one pattern of floor tiles, combined with another pattern for  wall and ceiling treatments (which were pointless and looked dumb) and another different pattern in black and white for the backsplash. all crammed together in a tiny home.   It was like a funhouse at a carnival. There was literally nowhere to look to give your eyes a rest from the overly busy décor.  I loved it when the realtor said perhaps the house was 'overdone'.  Ya think?  Couldn't believe they sold it in 2 days for above asking price.

And, BTW, if you live in Vegas and need to spray paint your front lawn green and put astroturf in the backyard because the climate is so hostile to lawns; it's time to rethink your landscaping plan.

One bedroom condo on the strip, whose theme song could be the Temptations' "Psychedelic Shack" (that's where it's at).

Oh my. I think Aubrey used a box of Good 'N Plenty as her inspiration.

I would love to know the background of the people who purchase these atrocities (where are they from? as children, did they picture their lives going in this direction? do they pay taxes on even one third of their income, and where do they stash all that cash?  grill or studded teeth?  will they conduct most of their business out of this place?)

Aubrey prices her homes to sell, it seems. I gotta give her credit for that.

But, oh my.

Man that one bedroom "black and white" condo was horrifically ugly.  Most of the time, while she has crazy designs, I think a big problem is her staging.  In this case, there were so many patterns everywhere that it was exhausting to look at.

They did mention someone would buy the condo as an investment property, and since it was on Las Vegas Boulevard, I imagine it will get rented out.

Another glam disaster from the master!  Now, we're seeing 'rustic glam' from this pair.  From what I can discern, that means wood paneling and sketches of deer on the walls with chandeliers dripping with faux pearls hanging from the ceiling.  It kinda boggles the mind how Aubrey manages to top herself week after week when it comes to ugly design choices.  I've noticed that we get more snarky realtors coming through and commenting on the 'decor' such as it is.  The throwback to the 70's paneling certainly caught their attention and not in a good way.  Of course, if the show is telling us the truth, they do manage to sell these monstrosities pretty quickly. so maybe people in Vegas are looking for something different than most of the rest of us.  Or the housing market really is that tight.

I must give props to Bristol, though, aside from seeming to be very affable and easy going, he appears to have real construction skills and does very good work.

If these badly decorated homes are selling quickly, more than likely it's only because they're advertising the 'flip or flop' brand (i.e. as seen on TV). People in LV are no different than in other parts of the country, esp. since many come from CA to begin with. They are not looking for these Crayola colored/Hildi (from TS) decorated homes.
