He's adorbs, but I can't imagine he would ever come across in a positive manner on a first date.  He's just not that charming.

But that face! I actually think the second and third dates are the problem. He is so work focused but can't discuss it. Besides being a humorous scene I think it was useful to see that even a socially awkward guy can manage a normal date. It doesn't take much.  Punctual, suit (I love his suits and since he also wore them as The Doctor I can't imagine him in casual clothes), nice location, and eye contact!  Done!

I call BS on the route home being near Miller's house unless she was leaving work. But where is her car?

Of course I am, but...why?  Because I'm so oblivious I wouldn't be able to pick out the culprit even after his confession?  Or because I can yell, "Millah" like a true Scotsman?

Because you have already perv proofed your computer. But also because you can yell "Millah" like a true Scotsman.

I have no clue who the rapest is yet. They are all equally suspicious to me right now. Right now Hardy and the Vicar are the only two I do not suspect. Everyone else is up for grabs right now.

Well, since Cath has already been suggested, why are you ruling out Ellie?

Ellie spends a lot of time walking alone down dark alleys. That is suspicious behavior to me. haha

I thought that maybe Mark asked the minister to go with him to confront Joe to keep him from killing Joe. Now, I expect something awful to happen and Paul to feel like crap.

Mark is such a creature of the moment that I would try to avoid any kind of collusion with him.  I admired his self restraint in not killing Joe when he had the chance, but it seems like that's where we are headed now.

And I think Mark is at the point where he doesn't actually care what happens to him anymore, so if he has to die to take Joe out, he will die. I understand where he is coming from though. I mean, I get Beth's "time to move on" healthy thought process but I could NOT live with the knowledge that someone I considered a friend, (maybe not close friend but still someone I would have trusted my child with) was the person who got away with killing my child. I just couldn't live in a world that let that happen, not just the murder itself but that the asshole who did it got away with it. So, while I hate Mark, I also get him. I would have a really, really hard time just going on with my life, fully knowing that I have to, fully knowing that my other children need me to, that not letting go is destroying me and those I love. I still don't know if I could just let it go.

At this point Mark is a kamikaze and he will go down in flames so long as he takes his enemy with him.

I watched the season when it aired in the UK and must admit I'm enjoying being in the catbird seat (even though it's a tiny seat of no consequence or power).

It's fun to read everyone's theories and um hm to myself.

He was (is?) Mark's plumbing co-worker. He found out season one that the dodgy woman living in the caravan was actually his mother. He's a close friend of the Lattimers, fairly harmless.

Thanks. I remembered later that night. They must have really played him up for me to automatically be creeped out just by seeing him!

So Trish's husband's girlfriend sent the threatening text to Trish.  I can't remember what it said - "Back off or else?"  "Let it go or else?"  "Shut up or else?"

In any case, why was she threatening Trish?  What did she want Trish to do or not do?

I think it was "shut up, or else" which, shut up about what? That is an odd sort of thing for the husbands side piece to say. Unless she thinks Trish knows about the porn ring I think the hubby is involved in. Which would mean she knows. Which...eeew.

I'm guessing she'd have found out about the rape by then. Right? I get my timelines a little confused. But this was after the police talked to the husband, who would have presumable told Side Piece.

I think the girlfriend specifically said she DIDN'T know about the rape at that point, otherwise she'd never have sent such a text. So I assumed her "shut up" was in reference to Trish either talking TO her ex, or badmouthing him around town.

I think the text was just a red herring or indication of the messiness of Trish's life right now. While I don't love her estranged husband, he seems kind of hapless. Or maybe I just like the actor.

I don't see the emotion in Mark. He has never been my favorite on the show. In the heat of the moment I could see him killing Joe, but two years later?  I don't get the brooding/stewing vibe. I wish the writing would help him more if that's how this is going.

I also struggle with the idea of abandoning your living child to avenge a dead one, especially when one is a baby. But fortunately I will never face that so probably shouldn't judge. Still not sure the writing has backed him.

I hate this about Mark.  If I were his teen daughter, I'd be very hurt that only Danny seems to matter, and that she and the baby were not the least bit meaningful or relevant to their dad.  Anyone meeting Mark today would think he only had one kid.
