Does anyone know where Premier League games be shown when NBCSports shuts down? Are they going to dump most of them on  Peacock's subscription level?

I think I read USA but who knows how that will look.

Not sure about Ronaldo's return. On the one hand, I have nothing but fond memories of him at United, and know he's still a formidable player. But on the other hand, he's often a black hole around which no one else can thrive.

I just hope he's coming with a clear understanding that the team isn't going to revolve around him to the detriment of everyone else.

Genuinely so excited for CR7 to return to Utd!!!! Absolutely loved the s**thousery deployed by Ole, Bruno and Rio today with this 🤣🤣

Most of it is down to the nostalga factor mostly, however, I do think he'll have an impact on ambition within the club - esp Pogba etc. He's in his twilight years but I can't wait to enjoy watching Utd again.

Did anyone tell Arsenal the season started yet?

Oh Arsenal!  You're just so . . . Arsenal, aren't you?  I'm really starting to feel like the old-timers Nick Hornsby talked about in Fever Pitch, long-suffering and starting to lose hope that it will ever get better.

You really think that's something Ronaldo is capable of?

Woo hoo!  Two Arsenal wins in a row!  I don't wanna say Leno was the problem, but keeping a clean sheet definitely helps.

We are a young team that has not been managed very well. Arteta needs to sort out a first team and let those guys just play together over and over until they figure each out and find some synchronicity. Right now, including the vagaries of the Covid, its a different team and formation every week/competition which is doing no one any favors.

I saw Arsene today on Sky News at some conference of FIFA coaches or something, all opposed to the proposal to have a World Cup every two years, rather than every four years (which leaves room for the Euros, the Copawhatever, etc. etc. plus club play when, exactly?). I miss Arsene! He looks pretty good still. Arteta seems too nervous and unsure of himself at this point; if this doesn't improve I would like to see him gone by the end of the season.

I think the head office is more of the problem than Arteta is.  Honestly, we're in a rebuilding period and people need to stop insisting on major changes for a few seasons.  It takes time to rebuild a team.

Okay, Arsenal, THAT'S how you do it.  More of that, please.

Oh, and all those pundits who kept questioning the acquisition of Aaron Ramsdale can officially suck it.

Yesssssssss! Beating the bar stewards from down the road is always so satisfying. And Rambo is now a keeper LOL!

Hard to defend my team but losing 9 - nil in three games puts us as bar toilet cleaners. My hope was to get rid of Kane this summer because he clearly doesn't want to play for us. Because Levy...the Jerry Jones of Football-knows business but absolutely nothing about Football.

Spurs fan from Canada.

Well, Manchester United are in for an interesting 2nd half of the season - hope they don't get too many injuries because I've lost count of their outgoing loans (though I do wish Donny well down the road in Everton).

As for the Mason Greenwood allegations... I'm still in shock.

Further charges came down today. He's only 20! Yikes.

It's unreal.

I was at OT back in 2019 and I remember thinking, after seeing him score a screamer, that I would be able to tell my kids I got to see Greenwood as he was breaking through - because you could just tell he had the talent.

Well, I certainly won't be talking about that goal now. That guy ruined his career and then reversed back over it to make sure it was done. Like, threats to kill?! What is going on in that mind?!

(Can't even enjoy the fact that ed woodward is no longer ceo and I've waited so long for that to happen)

I am curious who will end up buying the team.

I told my best friend we should start saving our pennies.  (Not that I'd want Chelsea, mind you, but my friend is a fan, and she'd help me buy Arsenal, so . . .)

Well, as usual Arsenal manages to screw up at the end of the season, and misses 4th place and the Champions League.  On the other hand, they did finish 3 places higher than the last two seasons and made the Europa League without having to go through the first playoff round, so that is progress.

I do have hope for this young team which Arteta has put together.

NBC announcer Arlo White is by far the most surprising name I have seen headed to the Saudi backed LIV golf tour. I'm sure they are paying him a ton of money.

Speaking as someone who has loathed Man U since they beat out Arsenal for the Premier League Title in the 98/99 season, their 4-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday was incredibly entertaining.  It was like the Keystone Kops had joined the Premier League.

Also, Gabriel Jesus is seeming like a fantastic addition to Arsenal's stable of Gabriels so far.

As an Arsenal fan, I am almost at the point at admitting that they might be, possibly, good.

I'm afraid to get too hopeful.  I don't wanna jinx them.

It's a weird year. Other than Man City doing their thing, it's hard to figure this EPL season. We'll see if normality returns after the WC break.

Can't even count on that, really.  See: MC v Brentford. 😵

If you have credible threats to the safety of a board of directors (as Everton did today) and that danger is serious enough that they are told not to attend a match, then perhaps you should rethink plans on playing that day.

Just wait until they actually do go down, they'll need an armed escort to go to the grocery store.

It's funny, I keep giving myself excuses not to get fully onboard. I think, give me a couple more matches, lets see what happens with Tottenham, Manchester United this week. . .

Well, we just beat Tottenham, and besides Harry Kane, they've got no one. Next up is Manscum, and that should be an excellent indicator. See you here afterwards!

Yeah, I keep reminding myself that Arsenal always finds ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory because I want them to win so badly but am afraid I'll jinx it if I get too excited.

Arsenal might just pull it off today. Without the lynchpin of Casemiro, some confidence may be lost. I am hoping not.

If there isn't pizza being thrown in the tunnel, is it even a Utd vs Arsenal match?? I miss the old days of Keano squaring up to Veiria....The drama! The intensity! The desire to win!

Well, THAT happened.  Arsenal could still win the league if they win the rest of their games since they have a game in hand, but one of those is against City so . . . .

I guess they could draw that second City game but they do have to win everything else.

Arsenal looked good in the first half, but City seemed to take the midfield in the second half. All the goals were really sharp.

I'm sure Arteta had a reason for leaving out White in favor of Tomiyasu in the lineup but definitely appears to have been an error.

Edited to note that I hadn't really dared hope for an Arsenal win, but I did think a draw was possible.  Oh well.

And Lee Mason, the ref responsible for a big error in the aforementioned Arsenal/Man City game, has been sacked! (Well, the polite version is that he resigned voluntarily....but it was so egregious...). Man City did play better in the second half but these VAR messes are taking all the joy out of the beautiful game!
