Athena December 22, 2016 Share December 22, 2016 Quote On Graham's sofa are Will Smith, Helen Mirren and Naomie Harris, appearing together in ensemble drama Collateral Beauty, and Sherlock actor Martin Freeman, talking about the new series of Sherlock. There is also music from Katie Melua, who performs The Little Swallow. Link to comment
joelene December 31, 2016 Share December 31, 2016 I just started watching the episode, but what is up with Will's obsession about feeling the need to give Graham a "manly hug"? Is it a joke? Because it comes of more like he's genuinely scared to give men hugs. Maybe it's just gay men. Link to comment
Quof December 31, 2016 Share December 31, 2016 It's the universal Man Hug. Can't possibly have it feel good to embrace another male, so must slap each other on the back as aversion therapy. Link to comment
attica January 8, 2017 Share January 8, 2017 That was a very shiny dirndl skirt on Katie Melua. Certainly shinier than one often sees on dirndl skirts! Say what you will about Bendystraw Crunchysnacks, it is my feeling that Freeman is the MVP of Sherlock. And I love his hair that way. 1 Link to comment
dubbel zout January 8, 2017 Share January 8, 2017 Aaaaand Will Smith hogs the show as usual. He's always charming and charismatic, but I do wish he'd STFU more. I thought Dame Helen's dress was a bit too froofy. I like her in sleeker clothes. Naomie Harris is stunning. If only Martin Freeman could have been on longer. He's so dreamy. Neither Big Red Chair story was that great, but the first lady deserved to be flipped. 2 Link to comment
kat165 January 8, 2017 Share January 8, 2017 (edited) This was a great couch. Will didn't really bother me cause I generally like him. I loved the cameraderie amongst Will, Helen and Naomi, especially Will & Helen. I love Helen's "because 2016 was a pile of shit." I know she was reading off a cue card but it still funny. Seriously, is this what happens to you when you're surrounded by people who laugh hysterically at everything you say and do? WS was insufferable. On the other hand MF, DHM and NH were delightful (I agree with Naomie, WS is annoying). And that musical segment was the best ever musical segment on GN! 1 Link to comment
Bruinsfan January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 (edited) At least when Will motormouths he's engaging the other guests and involving them in whatever story/comedy bit he's relating. It'd be a lot more off-putting if it were a "now, back to the subject of ME" sort of thing rather than collaborative. Edited January 9, 2017 by Bruinsfan 8 Link to comment
Mumbles January 16, 2017 Share January 16, 2017 Naomie Harris seems lovely but I would hate to go to her family's for Christmas! I will saw, Will Smith is a guest whose appearances I hate in the US (especially when he was younger - he's less full of himself now) but who is tolerable to me on Graham. Graham doesn't kowtow to him and Smith seems to enjoy being with other guests. 1 Link to comment
