Because the creator of the property didn't get the hot girl to go with him to prom in high school.

Never mind hot girl - ANY girl. Maybe they found out about his sweaty little torture porn fantasies. I shouldn't speculate, but I can just imagine.

I'd rather not; that's a sure-fire weight loss plan I have no desire to explore.

I do agree the writing was better on BB then WD.  It makes no sense, why the hell in a world with guns (we see most groups have them) is the douche bag with the bat king?

Catch-22 with the adaptation. The bat is so iconic; there's no way they could bring Negan in without it. However, it wasn't so eye rolling in the comic because

Spoiler

they'd run out of ammo at this point.

My thought when they were showing the circle of smiling faces at the end was that it was a callback to the circle of terrified faces kneeling in front of Negan from last season's finale. If I cared more I would go back and see if they showed the faces in the same order (well, minus Glenn and Abraham, and adding in Tara and Jesus).

This was totally my read of that final sequence   The circle of faces with love and hope and smiles in lieu of the agonized fear and panic with Lucille in their faces   Rick and Daryl's reunion made me cry  can't lie   I loved Daryls first attempt at being cool and composed with his little nod at Rick...and then he ducks his head and goes in for a tearful hug   ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️  #allthefeels

Who was the man who had the NO Camping sign covering his secret hide away? The scene was so dark I could not make it out. Was it the boots guy?

I WISH this was an Amazon but that doesn't seem likely.

Just finished binging the first half of the season to be ready for Sunday night.  I hope this is an epic Terminus style takedown if the Saviors. And I REALLY hope that Morgan and Carol get over their zen really quickly when they hear about Abe and Glen.

You know I was re watching Breaking Bad and I was thinking that the character of Tuco was such a great villain.  He was absolutely terrifying because you had no idea what this crazy MF would do next.  Also, the creators of that show were very smart about the right time to kill him off, because five seasons of Tuco is way too much Tuco.

I feel like this is what this show wanted to do with Neagan.  The difference is Neagan is supposed to be amazingly charming instead of bat shit crazy. Instead, he is a ridiculous caricature of a villain.

Say bad joke, posture like an idiot, walk around in ladies moto jacket and then repeat steps one through three.

See, I don't find any of these guys so terrifying.  I cut my eye teeth on a genius lunatic old man in my childhood, and survived a raging alcoholic misogynist and a benign methhead in my adult years (just to name a few). I could quite easily have killed any or all of them in their sleep, but I didn't.  I survived, and outwitted them.  Men used to scare me, untill I figured out ther assfoolishholiness.  Now, not so much.  Negan & Tuco are victims of their own egos; they could (and will, no doubt) be outSMARTED.

Beats the everlovin' shit outta squash cream pie, I expect.

Piffle.  Ma Ingalls once made a green pumpkin pie, just think what you could do with acorn squash.  Which is actually very delicious baked with butter and brown sugar.  Bananas are just icky.

After finally getting all caught to get ready for 7B, I've come to realize that while the outright violence and its imagery have severely ramped up this season with Negan and the Saviors... we - as the audience - have still been quite shielded as to what kind of horrors that could be depicted and I am quite thankful this show is a show and not a movie where more sadistic & gratuitously horrifying stuff could and would be depicted.

I don't have a major problem with the violence and its threat to keep people in control, its a ZA world with a (could be) realistic depiction of how things would go.  I get it.  But that said, that doesn't mean I am not sorely tempted to use something sharp to puncture and permanently ruin my eardrums to prevent myself being monolgued to death by motor-mouth Negan.  That's why while I had plenty of time to get caught up in preparation for 7.9, I put it off until I couldn't any more.  Cut about 75% of his lines out of the script and I wouldn't cringe in dreaded anticipation of his appearance on screen.

(oh, and goodbye gutless Spencer, you shan't be missed [by this guy].  And farewell Bullet Barista, who's gonna count ammo now?)
