Tom Cruise prefers staying single, remaining close with Scientology pals, report says:

From the article:

Back in March, Cruise announced on “The Graham Norton Show” that he was still recovering from a broken ankle he suffered six months ago on the “Mission Impossible” set. “It’s not fully healed but we are shooting and we have a release date so I just have to keep going,” he explained. “I spent 8-10 hours a day, seven days a week in rehab because we still have some major stunts to do… but I’m doing well.”

Oh nos! Tiny Tom has a long term owie? Yes, I know I’ve laughed at this before but little Tommy is the one who publicly mentioned healing with his CO$ trained mind so I continue to enjoy making fun of him for not being able to magic think his injury away. I guess his slaves, err I mean willing assistants, couldn’t help fix it either. And 8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week in rehab? Really? I’m sorry Tommy, but like Xemu putting folks in volcanoes and bombing them, your story sounds made-up. And let me say a big sorry to London because, according to the article, Cruise loves it there and is making it his home. Along with Clearwater of course, since he and dear Davy can’t stay apart for too long.

Did Wil/Jada Pinkett Smith ever come out as Scientologists?  I saw an article the other day that I can't find right now that was supposed to be a "whole family portrait" and in the middle was a woman who clearly wasn't a family member.  It was noted down the article that it was their "publicist" who came along, and I was wondering if publicist = handler.

I hope that me posting this here doesn't offend anyone.  Please accept my apology, if he does.  I just didn't know where else to post this.

I only just learned that Charles Mason says that he was a Scientologist.  I was really surprised.  He made this announcement many years ago, like in the 1960's.  COS, denies it, I think.   Maybe, this has been common knowledge around here, but, I had no idea.

Honestly, yes, Charles Manson said this and clearly picked up some of the control tactics but....

Scientology was big in prisons in the 1960s so it's not unreasonable that Manson would have had contact. He claimed for some time to be a "clear" or a "theta clear" but frankly I think it was a situation where he picked up their prattle and figured out how to say it back correctly.

That said, there's a whole dark world of connection between Scientology and well... Satanism, the Church of Satan and a ton of really vile shit. Personally, while I have read into it, most of the things I read about it were written during the 1980s Satanic Panic so in retrospect it seems unlikely.

But yes, Manson had some influences from Scientology.

Manson was also a big Beatles fan.  (Sorry, I couldn't resist.  ;)  The devil made me write it.)

I'm offended.  Ok, not really, but I am a HUGE Beatles fan and I am so sick of that monster being associated with the Beatles because he liked Helter Skelter.

Question about COS celebs on twitter and other social media... I'm not up on all the celebs in this cult and if they are on social media, but if they are, do they not get some fan tweets speaking of the DM abuse and the Sea Org horrors, etc? And begging them to get out? I guess I can answer my own question that they probably just look away and stay deep in their mindset. But I would think eventually they might have to take a hard look at this.

I don’t think the celebs post on social media. Most likely it’s their assistant. I wouldn’t be surprised to know that the celebs are only allowed to use the phone in front of their handler.

Dont buy buy this story

I definitely get the sense that Jenna Elfman is very much a True Believer and there isn't anything anyone can say or any proof that they can offer that will change her mind. Also Jezebel covered the article, and looking through the commentary I see a whole lot of whataboutism and "well, it works for her" type comments. Can I get odds that Scientology has conscripted some poor Sea Org members into spamming the comments sections of various websites that mention this article?

For those people who may be interested but may not know ...

Mike Rinder has a blog and he writes very interesting entries every day:

https://www.mikerindersblog.org/

If you are waiting for the next season and have been waiting for quite some time, this site may entertain you while you wait.

It has one good bonus. You will get to know a whole bunch of really fine people. All of whom have escaped the Hell of Scamatology.

Jenna Elfman on how CO$ has kept her and her husband together. Sure, Jan. (Forgive me for posting a Page Six article.)

I genuinely think she's the craziest celebrity CO$ member of all. Let that sink in for a second.

A pair of handcuffs or a good strong rope could have also kept them together and both would have the added bonus that it would have been far, far, far less expensive.

Do you mean the Elfmans should have practiced bondage (BDSM) or are you just using "literally binding them together in marriage"?  LOL.  Hell of Scamatology!  Good one!  :D

Hello Crystal. Nice to meet you. I don't know how to answer your post. I'm glad you enjoyed the phrase, "The Hell of Scamatology".

There are several people who post comments regularly to Mike Rinder's blog and they have some hilarious and outrageous names for "Miss Cabbage" aka "The Tiny Fuhrer". Many of us just keep posting our wish that he winds up in the Penitentiary real soon. If only a tiny sliver of the things that members of that blog have reported seeing him do, he sure would deserve to go there for life.

Last I heard, Season 3 of Aftermath is scheduled to begin fairly soon. I'm really looking forward to it. Leah has posted that apparently, the Creeps have really freaked out this season and they have ramped up the harrassment on people who co-operate with her and Mike. I'm really looking forward to this season.

Hi MissBluxom, nice to meet you as well.  I was just making fun of the handcuffs and rope you suggested, in a good way, not making fun of you at all!  Thanks for the info!  I'll be watching Leah & Mike's show to be sure.  I agree that the cabbage head of the CO$ should be tried of some crimes.  I can't believe the FBI aren't investigating them, unless they are and will eventually have a case for him/them to be prosecuted.  I wonder how the Scamatologists get away with the relentless harassment of Leah, Mike, and their crew and other people.  It just goes to show you what evil lurks in the hearts of this crazy cult!

Yes indeed. I'm not sure why, but for some strange reason, the higher-ups in that scam remind me of a bunch of crazies in a TV show. Would you like to try and guess what show it is?  I will put the answer in a spoiler box so that you might have some fun and see if you can guess.  Here it is:

The Walking Dead - specifically the Zombies - so many similarities - Heh Heh.

Heh! Heh!  As you might expect from the name of those creatures, they are so similar to Scientologists due to the fact that both appear to be completely mindless and just stumble around without ever knowing the terrible harm they do to so many people and so many families.    :D

I like talking with you. *blush*

Does David Cabbage have kids?

Apparently he’s scared to be around kids due to risk of catching their thetans or however that works? That may be part of the ban on pregnancy/forced abortions he instilled.  Tom Devocht shared this gem on Media Mayhem.

Nicole Kidman has nothing to lose by speaking out in support of Leah. There is nothing she can do or not do to get her kids with Tom to change their thoughts about her. What are they holding against her?  A contract that would cost her millions if she tattled, maybe.

I think she would like to one day reunite with her kids or grandkids.  Some people who have left stated "and my dad never said anything about Scientology"  meaning when they were ready to leave it held significance that their parent was never critical of their religion.  I suspect it is something like this, but it must be awful for her to be so estranged due to disconnection.

Will was never in it, but Jada Picket supposedly was and I had a real side eye when Remini made nice with them.  I think she just said they were at a party at Cruise's house and it maybe implied dabbling in Scientology.  Anyway, she has been really good about standing for truth I don't know why she caved in this.  Makes me wonder if Will Smith is up for a Disney role.  (Disney advertises or supports somehow Remini's show)

Will was a dabbler and Jada claims she did no more than dabble but Tony Ortega's source inside of the Celebrity Center said she was very involved for a while. They also opened a school that used Scientology study tech for a short while. Both were completely done with Scientology by 2015.

Disney owns A&E that produces and airs Leah's show.

I really did think the Red Table show that Leah did with Jada was great. They talked things out like adults and while I think Jada glossed over just how into Scientology she used to be, she clearly isn't anymore if she is willing to make nice with Leah.

Leah apologises saying she didn't mean to single them out, which I believe but the way Jada made it out she definitely wasn't owning that she was in it, created a school for their kids enforcing those principles, etc.  Jada may not be in it now but Leah definitely let her skate on it.  Makes me wonder is all.  I guess Will being an A lister....

I don't think she glossed it over. She confirmed that she had an interest in Study Tech and had started a school based on Study Tech. While the average person may not know what that implies, anyone that has watched this show knows that you had to at least be seen as a possible mark and had to have had some credibility as an interested adherent to get approval to use their tech.

Tom Cruise is a decent actor no doubt but if it wasn’t for Scientology his movies wouldn’t do half as well as they do in the box office.

I ended up watching A Few Good Men this weekend -- in the midst of bingeing Leah's show. Even with my heightened awareness of how much more batshit crazy CoS is than what I knew before, Tom Cruise sucked me in with his performance. He is just a really good actor, scientology or not. I don't think the success of his movies is attributable to Scientology -- probably the opposite, because when I see him in interviews being himself, I can tie him to the crazy. But when he's acting, I get sucked in to the performance. He is a good actor, scientology or not. Of course HE attributes it to Scientology, but he was acting -- and doing a great job at it -- before he got suckered in (The Outsiders comes immediately to mind).

I am not sure if this is true or not but I heard from a source other then Leah that Sea Orgs are “motivated” to go watch his movies.  So to a certain extent directors know that no matter how a movie bombs it will at least attract the Sea Orgs.

I'm sure they are. But as Leah and Mike have revealed, their numbers are much smaller than what CoS promotes (shocker), so I would counter that by asking whether there are even enough Sea Orgs -- and Scientologists in general -- to make any sort of tangible difference in box office numbers.
