I had to go to speech therapy when my family moved to Florida because my Alabama accent was so strong no one understood what I was saying. Now, I have people telling me they never detect an accent, but the second I am around someone with a Southern accent mine comes right back. I assume its the same for a lot of people. You unconciously pick up accents of those around you.

I'm very susceptible to accents. I lived in the south for many years and unconsciously adopted an accent. Now I'm back in the midwest, but a southern accent will totally come out if I'm around my southern friends. I did a lot of theater growing up and was used to doing various accents for different things. When we had friends from Australia come for 2 weeks, I adopted their accent as well! I seriously didn't mean to, it just happens.

Erika once said "a woman who marries for money earns every penny"! She seems like a fairly cold, aloof person. She also seemed a little less than thrilled to see her Mama. Maybe too many reminders of the old days?! I wonder if perhaps Tom is throwing some underhand shade at his beloved??  Gifting her with HIS favorite artist's works and secretly bringing her mother to the party?! Hmmmmm....

LVP is a true animal activist and not just for publicity and attention so she does get a pass from me for some of her transgressions. However, I do hold her to a higher standard than many of the Housewives because she is intelligent and for the most part, a classy person. This petty, bent out of shape persona she has been rocking is unattractive and she knows better.

Dorit doesn't hire domestic help for show- I bet she actually has very little to do with the care and raising of her little ones. I watched an older video of an interview with her after her swimwear was featured at Fasion week- she had NO discernible accent at all, and she was not nearly as attractive as she is now. I suspect a nose job and lip fillers among other things.

I think the party was a flop. How can one enjoy themselves? People are hungry, no food is served and your direction to your staff is to pound booze down their throats, plus the measly cake you bring out wouldn't feed 50. Poor planning and irresponsible especially so since you are serving alcohol.

I'd be out of there early or order a pizza to be delivered and eat it in the corner.

Oh no, Chica. I am a New Yorker. I was born in Brooklyn, lived in Manhattan as an adult and I sound like it every time I open my mouth. You, OTOH, sound like a hot mess. You sound like a fake, actually, is what you sound like.

Then it should be easy for Kyle to spot her.

It grosses me out that LVP always has her dog(s) in the restaurant.  I really think she is an animal hoarder.

Eileen looked really good in her testimonials.  Andy C. said on BitchSesh podcast that the women have Bravo hair and make-up people only for their testimonials, not when filming action.  Erika also looks amazing.

Don't think Mr. G. is that into his wife.  I bet they already had that painting.  It's unwrapped, leaning against a table?  Where is the presentation? Cue to HH and the car with the bow.  Also, Mr. G. didn't even have Erika's ring or a jeweler's brochure.  That looked like a picture hastily printed out from the internet.

Kim can stay away as far as I'm concerned.  And of course Kyle's mother trotted the whole gang over to Studio 54. There was coke everywhere back then.  Kyle was what?  10.  Worst mother on the planet.

Dorit has a four-month-old and yet she's on this show?  Why?  They're only little once.

I was excited about the show being back but now it just seems like the same old stuff.

I was actually happy with this episode.  No shrieking, no over the top fighting.  Yeah, those involved with the carryover from last season made mention of it, but there was nothing overt about it.  Nice house porn, nice discussion I will never take part in (purchasing an airplane).  Much rather this than the crap on New York.  And Yolanda can stay gone.

I think the big difference even though they are ploughing through already ploughed fields is with LVP you don't have screeching f bombs or name calling or making someone cry because they called too much in the off season.  A see a strong advantage in that everyone is married so no middle aged dating stuff or competing for a man.  Since the Reunion was only four months earlier and Rinna,  Eileen and Erika have not seen LVP, to me, entirely reasonable to still have feelings about a lot of harsh statements.

Erika is a bit of an idiot:  http://toofab.com/2016/12/06/erika-girardi-teases-season-7-of-rhobh-lisa-rinna-has-like-nine-lives/ Rinna, "having a mouth that gets her into trouble", is a preventable condition.  The fact that Erika takes credit for Rinna taking ownership for it makes Erika an idiot. It is not as if Rinna is blind and they are ranking on her for missing the bull eye's during target practice.  Diarrhea of the mouth is not a true medical condition.  Erika last season seemed to not hold Rinna accountable for her comments about Yolanda because she disliked LVP.  Instead of worrying about Kyle being up LVP's ass, maybe Erika, or one of her assistants should dig Rinna out of hers.

Rinna has taken zero accountability for the rumor she spread about Yolanda. She did the opposite and tried to blame it on LVP for making her do it. So Miss "Own It" needs to own it to move on.  It was Rinna who claims Yolanda being sick was a storyline suggested by LVP.  She is the one who ran with it.  I guess she did pay the price as NBC didn't pick up her talk show.  Just desserts.

No Yo! So I'm watching!

Not age shaming LisaV, but she looked old and so buttoned up at Erika's party.

Loved Kyle's hair when she met up with Eileen and Erika.

Erika seemed genuinely thrilled by Eileen's present.

Kyle continues to give me hives. There is not one shred of originality in her head, she is one of those people who cues their lives and every movement they make from what the 'cool' people are doing. She's a follower. This was made absolutely apparent when she basically allowed that LVP lied to her, but she didn't care last season. She just wants to be in. She wants to eat at LVP's restaurants etc. And she has puppies now, though no idea of how to train a dog (Kim, Kingsley).

PLEASE NO KIM!!!!!!!

Kingsley isn't Kyle's dog and she had no say in his life or upbringing except to say "Not in my house." which Kim ignored hence the lawsuit. Kyle's dogs seem normal with at least basic training. She could easily grab a stolen potato out of her dogs mouth with no fear of being bitten.

I agree. PLEASE NO KIM!!!!!!!!!

I love 70s parties. I grew up in the 70s. But, why wasn't Erika dressed up 70s style? I think with all that $$ that party could have been way better in depicting a 70s Studio 54 vibe.

I think her dress could be called "1970s inspired," at least, with that waist embellishment and super-high slit. Why she wouldn't go for a real-deal '70s vintage outfit, I have no idea--it's not like she couldn't buy any one she wanted, plus you can find stuff for under $500 even on E-Bay!

Speaking of the '70s (my very favorite clothing era), does anyone know when Kyle's TV Land show is supposed to happen? I'm prowling around online and finding nothing definitive. I'm looking forward to seeing what people are wearing on it.

I don't disagree re the punch bowl.  I'm just bored by it.  I'm double bored by Eileen and her need for elevenity million apologies.  Vicki is such a deplorable person that I can at least muster the effort to hate her and want her off my TV.  I'm just super bored by the soap actresses and their tired bullshit.

Chronologically it might make sense for the Rinna/Eileen vs LVP beef to still be going on, but I just don't think I have it in me to watch a full season of the soap actresses making it their storyline.  I was bored with it last year.

Season 5 when Brandi was on the outs with LVP, it took until Episode 10 for LVP to finally tell her she could not be the friend Brandi wanted.    There was this same kind of back and forth and Brandi's resolve to get back into LVP's good graces, even offering to perform oral sex on her.  I am guessing they will come to terms sooner rather later, because they are professional actresses and know it is not that difficult for LVP and Kyle to get their own scenes and they will be left picking their noses waiting for a call.

There is a common thread that runs through the show season after season, whoever wants to upend the applecart (or would it be the diamond cart) always seems to want to drive a wedge between Kyle and LVP.  When Kyle was without a friend in Season 4, except newbie Joyce, Brando started the full on attack of LVP when she and Kyle were in the process of mending fences and once again used an offer camera incident (the magazines) to portray LVP as the ultimate manipulator.  So Season 6, the same method was again put into motion by Rinna.  I don't believe LVP said, "bring Kyle into it."  I think it was more along the lines of don't drag us into it.  This time it didn't work but Kyle acknowledged they all can be manipulative.

So we are kind of back to Season 1 where it is Kyle's show to screw up if she has some big fight.  I think she is way too busy to engage in some long drawn out soap opera battle.  That is why you heard LVP ask her if she is sitting on her lazy ass.  Kyle has four kids, five stores, a TV show to produce, a hot husband, a pack of dogs and a troubled sister, that provides her with plenty of drama.

Exactly.

If her daughters were younger, with her fingers in so many pies, and the many celebrities that she knows, I think she could have pulled off her own family reality show.

Studio 54 was coke central back in the day.  Unless Erika was serving coke to all her guests, she should have had FOOD there, Fatburger or otherwise.  People seemed to be having trouble getting drinks, too, what with the long lines and complaints.  Combined with Erika's terrible ErikaJayne music, and that party was a major FAIL.

Erika is 0-2 when it comes to parties. Remember her Target Bulls-eye, Carnival Midway party. Yeech!

Damn, I love autocorrect sometimes.  This made me chuckle.

I never believed LVP told Rinna to bring Kyle into it.  I do believe that LVP asked her if she was going to bring Kyle into the situation, which could be interpreted two ways.  One is that LVP was making a suggestion in the way of a question. The other would be that she was asking because she didn't want herself and Kyle dragged into it.  I believe the latter.    I think LVP can be a bit manipulative, but I pretty much believe that about all of them.  I just don't think she's this evil mastermind who can control people at will. Especially two women who have swam through the shark infested waters of Hollywood for over two decades. Nope, not buying it.

Lisa Rinna looks awful.  On first viewing, I was only half paying attention. I looked up and thought, "Who is that scary woman LVP is shading?"  She looked like one of those puppets from "Spitting Image".

Spot on in its entirety!

For me the episode was boring. It also looked like it was filmed with so many filters to hide as much as possible with these women.    It was like watching a show wrapped in a lot of gauze.

The only other thing I got out of it was how exhausting it must be to live a life like that.  So much work to look a certain way, the clothes they all seem so uncomfortable in.  Going to boring parties, drinking, trying not to eat the food and not breaking a leg in those ridiculous shoes.

I would much prefer a tiny little home and a sweatshirt.

Watching the party was pretty funny.  It looked crowded because they had all the guests crammed into one side of the pool to give that impression.  The young beautiful gay men from Pump were nice window dressing. When they showed them all dancing it was the most obvious.  I can hear the producer now, okay everyone go to taped off area and you are all going to dance, principals in front (Rinna was licking the lens).  Most of them are past middle age, if you double their age to determine that marker.  Erika is, if she lives to 90.   No way are they into dancing at a party, I just don't believe that.

In their real life their gatherings very different and more casual, I am sure.  Expensive clothes, of course, but pool side lounging appropriate.

LVP is looking older faster as happens with each decade that passes. Now approaching 60, she has got to tone it down!  She should take a page from Helen Mirrin.

I used to look forward to this but the past 3 seasons, not so much.  Kelsey leaving Camille was a real crisis as was Taylor's mess of a  marriage, not manufactured or petty drama as we see now.

I adore Boy George and his music.  I am glad we will be seeing some of him, but I don't believe, for a minute, he lives with Dorit and PK.  Nope.  He lives in Hamstead, England.

The absence of food was such a dangerous oversight. No one wants a bunch of actual adults leaving your house with alcohol poisoning. How hard is it to have 5 or 6 passed hors d'oeuvres during the party. It's not like the party was enormous. It was like 100 people. Even $30/person for food would have been money well spent. And it's not like she cheaped out. The lighting display was at least $3000. Then she had the dancers and the bartenders and booze. It's clear that she already spent a solid $10,000 on the party.

Though I thought it was funny when Eileen was talking to Erika about using her Erika Jayne music for the party was hilarious. She gets to pimp her songs and production doesn't have deal with the problems of getting clearances from a bunch of artists.

Kyle is smart to use food trucks with her parties. They are really lower cost than using a caterer.

About Studio 54 according to my mom, "Eh, it was a nightclub." I'm sure that mythologizing Studio 54 is probably a lot like how people used to gush about Sardi's or Delmonico.

Big Kathy was such a criminally terrible mom. In a certain sense, I think she might be worse than Orange Oprah (Dina Lohan) because Dina never seemed to also encourage Lindsay to get knocked up by a rich guy to get 18 years of child support. I kmow many people don't like Kyle, but I'm always amazed at how normal she is given her horror show childhood and family. Kyle has encouraged all of her children to go to college. They have shabbat dinner. Kim is an addicted mess who could barely raise her children. And Kathy raised 3.1 assholes--Nicky wasn't nearly as awful as Paris when she younger, but it's not like Nicky was an angel either. Conrad is terrible. Barron seems to have cleaned up his act.

To be fair, Kim was a hell of a lot more famous than Kyle ever was. That had to have contributed to their divergent paths in life.

Did you ever see the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's girlfriend looks gorgeous in a certain light, then hideous in different lighting? For me, that's LVP.  I think she is a beautiful woman, but at times, she just doesn't look..right?  I think she is beautiful when she has her hair pulled back in a ponytail or a loose bun.  It's when she tries too hard that she looks her age.

Did Dorit say Boy George lived with her?  I admit, I wasn't paying much attention, but I thought the implication was that he stays with them when he is in California.

I'm an accent sponge. I once had a consultation with a Portuguese doctor. My husband was in the office, too, and was terrified the doctor would hear me reflecting his accent -- and I never knew it till we were leaving the hospital and my husband told me. I cannot do a Portuguese accent. (Many years ago, I acted and learned to do many other accents.) When I travel to visit my family in the deep south, my natural southern accent thickens. I could tell more stories, but I'll spare you. So the accent-shifting Dorit does isn't too odd to me -- but here's my problem. When I'm called on it, I can control my accent. So could she. She does it anyway. That's just childish and/or attention-seeking. Her THs show her to be (in my opinion) really shallow. She should fit right in. ;)

Along with nearly everyone else, I want the LVP/Eileen/Rinna melodrama to be done with. Sweep it under all the rugs in Beverly Hills I don't care. Just keep it off my TV.

I still don't like Erika. She's crass. And, yeah, let's tell the bar staff to mix the drinks "heavy" and then offer no food to offset all the alcohol. That won't lead to trouble.

Kim needs to stay off the show, though I've seen articles saying she'll be back. Her recovery (assuming she is in recovery) will not survive the stress of filming.  Having seen addiction up close and personal, I have empathy for her in that regard -- but I'm a believer in tough love there, too. She's too volatile on one hand and fragile on the other to be on this show.

Hi WireWrap,  it's been awhile!

Yeah, it was something about Lisa that made me think she looked so much older this season. Maybe it wasn't her outfit.  I tend to think  LisaV looks so much better in causal wear.  Everytime I've seen her in jeans and a nice top she looks great!

Maybe she was just nervous about seeing Eileen and Rinna.  I wish she would just let it all go.  Just give them a kiss kiss and say "hello darlings". I'm sure it would have thrown them off.  And I love Eileen.

I agree, Lisa looks so much better/younger/happier in more casual clothes/makeup, but she really looked nervous last night at the party.

Had Lisa done as you suggest they, Eileen/Rinna, would have claimed she was being fake and that her behavior proves they were right about her to begin with. She was playful with Rinna while getting in a few minor digs but she was actually polite with Eileen, who in turn blew her off. Really, Lisa could not win with them, she really could not. We all know no apology from Lisa will ever be good enough for Eileen and she would make sure it wouldn't be good enough for Rinna either, so, IMO, Lisa was better of staying true to herself instead of playing their game.

Well, Well! It seems you have something in common with Lisa/Ken, Kyle/Mauricio, Dorit/PK! LOL From Dorit's blog......."On the way home with Kyle, Mauricio, Lisa and Ken, we were starving so stopped at In and Out for burgers which was a fun way to end to the night!"

How could you be upset with Giggy being in the restaurant? He is just about the only sentient being on the staff that hasn't had sex with Jax or  James Kennedy.

Sure 'bout that?  The dog does walk funny...might not be age.  Jax would fuck pretty much anything that moved too slow.

Vanderpump needs a stylist.  Her do it yourself approach is really aging her fast.  And Rinna really needs all kinds of help.

Didn't Kyle have surgery before this?  I wonder if that was why her hair looked a little thin compared to its lustrous lengthier past?

Erika needs to go the opposite route as Vanderpump.  Less is more.  The too many layers of plasticsurgery, botox and then the contouring make her looks plastic.  Instead of looking good for her age she looks fabulous for someone twenty years older.  Kim Kardashian does the same thing.  You excise all traces of humanity and all you are left is looking like a mannequin.  Jax would still fuck it though.

'Lil Dorit needs to drop the Dickensian right now.  When Madonna, Paltrow and Depp can't make it work, a faux accent is not a charming thing.

I get that Vanderpump is sincere in preventing animal cruelty.  But she doesn't help herself in my eyes one lick for still treating her pets like accessories at all.  Dog lover that I am, I put my dogs first.   You have no idea what situations will arise and I never impose my pets on other people.  Or vice versa.  Fragile egos might adore their pets and still be desperate to think dragging one around makes him or her more interesting.  And way entitled.  And anything that tries to anthropomorphize your beloved pet is flat out wrong to me.  Plus anything that tries to put even the slightest "human" spin on the new pooch?  Yeah Jax will try to fuck it.  In fact I think we have proof a time machine will come to exist in the near future.  And it will turn out that the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules goes on a Bill and Ted type excellent adventure and it end up creating every known form of venereal disease known to man and a few waiting to surprise us.

Rinna and Eileen are trying to play soap opera antics and pretend it is all their own deep feels.  And not doing a good job.  I thought Eileen would be a better actress than this.  Instead we get, well, a very special episode of Vanderpump Rules directed by Tyler Perry.  If all this chafed their buttholes for so long and so hard, in real life you'd either truly address it or you'd put distance.  Instead the two little thirsty guzzlers with dull lives show up with straws but can't summon anything really interesting to suck on.  They just suck.  And this from someone who does not like Vanderpump and the Flying Monkey she makes carry her little dog, too.

It's been a very long time since I posted on these boards.    Politics took over my life for the past year. The only RH franchise I continued to watch was NY.   I swore off the OC (hate Vicki) and BH (hated Kim & Kyle) and yet here I am.   I'm stuck at home recovering from a triple by-pass so I binge-watched all of last season's BH yesterday and then watched the season premiere.  I still really like Eileen and have mixed feelings about LVP & LR.   I'm glad Yolanda is gone & hope to never see Kim or Brandi again.

I'm not sure that LR is entirely wrong about LVP, especially after I heard her mention the "storyline" concern.  That's something I find quite plausible.  While I don't dislike LVP I do believe she is manipulative and either incapable or unwilling to apologize.

I don't know if I'll make it through the entire season but I can't drive for 4 weeks so I'll see how it goes.

Welcome back!!! I have missed reading your posts and enjoying the gifs/pictures you post! Sorry you were ill but I am glad you are on the mend.

As for Rinna's "storyline" claim against Lisa, even her husband, HH, called her out for lying about him in the same conversation she claimed Lisa said this, so, IMO, Rinna lied both times. LOL

I am also glad Yolanda is gone but unfortunately, Kim is a FOH this season and from the looks of it,

Spoiler

she/Rinna get back into it about addiction/HH.

LOL

I feel like I've been introduced to so many "swimsuit designers" via reality TV.  Are there really so many of those?  The job description always baffles me.  Can you really make money in that?????  Or is it a fake thing to call yourself while you look for a man and live off alimony/trust fund?

I didn't hear her say fat ass, I heard her say lazy ass. And I think it was even subtitled and said lazy ass. I don't think any of these women would ever call another fat even if they were joking or being sarcastic, it is just the ultimate Beverly Hills no no.

You are correct -it just came on the television again I will change it.

Holy crap her upper lip is 4 times the size of her lower!

Someone posted a pic of her daughter recently. Hope she sees her mother as a plastic surgery cautionary tale and not make those mistakes.
