WendyCR72 October 15, 2016 Share October 15, 2016 A week off before the next new episode: Intelligence is tasked with tracking down the dealers of fentanyl - a drug that has been linked to multiple overdoses around the city. As they investigate possible sources, the team uncovers a series of dealers in a college smuggling ring. Meanwhile, Tay and Burgess come across a bloodied child who exposes a dark and twisted secret about his home life with his parents. Additionally, Mouse causes tension as he looks to reenlist in the army, and Platt tells Tay that she has been reassigned to her original post. Link to comment

TheHappinessHotel October 27, 2016 Share October 27, 2016 Ok, Sophia's hair piece is still present and awful. WHY did they have the scene with her riding on top of the police van and then jumping up to drag the fire escape steps down? That was sooooo obviously a stunt double. Also, it just seemed unrealistic. 1 1 Link to comment
scarynikki12 October 27, 2016 Share October 27, 2016 Latest hair theory: since the color is different this season (almost no blonde) I'm going with a bad dye job that damaged the follicles and the hair piece is there until it grows out. Great, Burgess is again jonsing for Intelligence. This show needs recurring and regular beat cops! Also, based on what we've seen, I fully expect her to join Voight in beating up suspects. That's probably why he wants her in the unit. I cannot see this going well. 3 Link to comment
Chas411 October 27, 2016 Share October 27, 2016 Ugh probably because I just finished a season one redux but Burgess belief that she just belongs in Intelligence bugs.. 3 Link to comment
12catcrazy October 28, 2016 Share October 28, 2016 Is the guy who plays "Mouse" leaving the show? Looks like they are setting up his leaving. Link to comment
BellyLaughter October 29, 2016 Share October 29, 2016 So is that the end of Officer Tay? Surely not?? God I hope they keep Burgess in uniform.... I will miss Mouse...I really thought he would become an officer at some point - possibly more.... 3 Link to comment
MakeMeLaugh October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 (edited) Tay, we hardly knew ye. Now you are going to be a future murder victim at the hands of your former commander because why else were you on this show? I do like Burgess and there are hardly any detectives already who don't really get storylines. Oh wait.... Edited October 30, 2016 by MakeMeLaugh 2 Link to comment
MissLucas October 31, 2016 Share October 31, 2016 I don't mind Burgess joining Intelligence as long as it keeps her out of Bechdel-fail-territory. Given her track-record I'm not overly optimistic but we'll see. But what I really want to see is more of Tay and Commander Vogel getting his comeuppance. A depressing episode even by this show's standards. Main villain walks, mother has to bury her only surviving kid, Mouse is leaving and no justice (yet) for Tay, other mom has to explain to her kid that his father is a nut-case. Note to writers: look up 'comic relief'. 1 Link to comment

Note to writers: look up 'comic relief'. Although Burgess (and Lindsay) passing the Bechdel test generally revolves around Lindsay talking Burgess through her various fuckups. And forget comic relief, I'd just take human shooting-the-shit moments. Like Lindsay and Ruzek talking like they're actually friends for the five seconds before everything went to shit in the last episode. I can't get over Bro Halstead(?)'s massive HIPAA violation midway through the episode. Link to comment
MissLucas October 31, 2016 Share October 31, 2016 I'll let Wikipedia do the talking: Quote The Bechdel test (/ˈbɛkdəl/ BEK-dəl) asks whether a work of fiction features at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man. The requirement that the two women must be named is sometimes added. Only about half of all films meet these requirements, according to user-edited databases and the media industry press. The test is used as an indicator for the active presence of women in films and other fiction, and to call attention to gender inequality in fiction. CPD has a somewhat rocky record. Female characters are present and they do inter-act on a regular basis. Lindsay and Platt are doing fine on the Bechdel-Test (even considering Platt got engaged and married on the show). Burgess is the big fail - the whole Ruzek/Roman drama was just painful to watch since most of her scenes with other female characters was dedicated to her screwed-up love-life. That made Tay such a good character - for once different topics showed up in those dialogues. Link to comment

It sure looks like Officer Tay was brought in just as a catalyst to push Burgess towards the dark side Intelligence Unit. I appreciated Mouse stating his calling was to be a soldier and being police is supposed to be a different job. We only had barely a century where cops did not look like nor were equipped almost identically to soldiers I guess that I was lucky to live through part of history. 1 Link to comment
Shades of Red November 4, 2016 Share November 4, 2016 Looks like Mouse is also on Empire and I don't think it's a spoiler to say on the Chicago PD fb site there's a link for a deleted scene where everyone is in a bar saying good-bye to Mouse. Good luck in the music business. As they didn't kill him off, here's hoping he may return at some time. Link to comment
scarynikki12 November 4, 2016 Share November 4, 2016 They still can. Remember they do an obligatory death at the end of the season. We had Jin in season 1, Nadia in season 2, and Justin in season 3. Jin didn't have an effect on any one character but Nadia and Justin resulted in major focus on Erin and Voight respectively. I'm wondering if Mouse might be set up for Jay's reaction. It's still early but I wouldn't be surprised if it's him. Link to comment
