Not on this show! This is a place where people talk about exchanging "verbal words." Thus, "internal bruising" could mean anything.

Hair Stylist eviction-Woman leased business, subleased to hair stylist with internet lease claiming the spaces were only for single-family occupancy.    The months later the place sold, the power was cut off, and hair stylist was locked out.     Hair stylist claims her beauty station, chair, and other attached items went bye-bye, but landlord claims another renter that was the stylist's friend stole everything.     I hate when people claim only someone with a key can get in a business or home, because most locks are easy to get into.     Stylist wants everything, including replacement money for equipment, lost business, and everything else.    I'm not sure I care about either person, but the stylist was evicted illegally, so no back rent.   Not sure if anyone got money, because I almost fell asleep.

Solar Panel tree trimming-Salesman for solar panel installation company charged homeowners $500 to trim trees, except the homeowner only paid him $250.   Unfortunately, he has no license, didn't get permits, or permission from the HOA, because most trees were on HOA property, or neighbor's property, he ruined the homeowners fence, damaged the sprinklers, and the homeowners were fined by the HOA.     I hope the local licensing authority is watching, because he has no license, insurance, or sense.      I hope the solar panel company canned him.

The homeowners were awarded the fines, over $1,400.

Rerun-Gruesome dog discovery-I think I'll watch the Closer rerun instead of another chewed up dog case, with zero information, and a lot of empty speculation.

Rerun-Sainted single mother evicted-Landlords told tenant, her mother, and her six year old to move after they went month-to-month.    The idiot sainted single mother  disabled the smoke detectors, because she couldn't figure out how to change the batteries, and I guess she thought that not knowing about a fire was OK.    Given eviction notice 3 October, and left November 6, and they only needed 30 days notice, and JJ isn't happy about the non-payment for October, and for going over the November period too.     I love how the plaintiff is the daughter, but her mother also chimes in constantly.     Charity Capizzi is a sainted single mother of two, and therefore doesn't need to pay for rent, or damages, and if that flies I'll fall over in a dead faint.

The witness for the defendants is the downstairs neighbor of the sainted single mother of two, who is probably so stupid she doesn't know how she ended up being a sainted single mother of two.      The downstairs neighbor said it was pure hell living below the woman, her mother, and her two kids, and I believe him.   What kind of idiot disables the smoke alarms?    She says that the smoke alarms went off, and she couldn't change the battery (note to sainted single mother of two (SSMOT)-it's a nine volt battery, and even I can change 8 of them in 5 minutes tops), but she's also a smoker, and I bet she wasn't supposed to smoke in the apartment, and kept setting the alarms off.    And another note to SSMOT, if your cigarettes get into the mattress or sofa, they can smolder for hours before bursting into flames, and emitting deadly fumes that kill you in your sleep.

I feel so sorry for the defendants, and especially for the downstairs neighbor and his family, who were preyed on by SSMOT, hell spawn, and idiot grandma.

I never saw this one. That was some prideful, haughty attitude of the Sainted Single Mother of two. She's a total loser who spread for some guy(s) without benefit of birth control, squirted out two unfortunate offspring (which she seems to think entitles her to live for free, etc) and she has to live with Mommy because she can't make it on her own. She's so freakin' stupid she has to rip a smoke dectector out of the ceiling because it takes "weird batteries" and neither she nor Mommy could figure out the enormously complex problem of where to get those or how to replace them. Can't expect her to go to a hardware store! She's a Single Mother of TWO! Dim-witted bitch.

I understand why plaintiff couldn't read what that lease said - her wig was covering her eyes. Who ever heard of a business location that must be rented as a "single family dwelling"? Who cares, anyway? Def. obviously Googled to find anything that said "Lease" and printed it out, not bothering to read it to out what kind of lease it was. Just sign it! Okay! Business people, they're not. No electricity is  just a minor problem, in def's eyes, and it's not her fault. I didn't bother finishing this.

Exactly right, she refuses to admit that she endangered the life of her own children, her idiot mother, and the other tenants of that building by removing the batteries, and smoking indoors.    And you know she was sitting there smoking whatever she wants to smoke, and I'm betting a bunch was wacky weed or worse.     One dropped cigarette butt or roach near a sofa, and it would have been tragic.    And is the plaintiff Sainted Single Mother of Two extremely stupid, or quite stoned in court?

Her mother was just as bad, and I'm sure enabled everything her stoner daughter did.     The disabled smoke alarms should have resulted in a report to CPS, because thinking like that results in dead kids, and neither so-called adult in that house had the sense g-d gave a squirrel.    I wonder if either of SSMOT's kids had a known father?     My guess it's Maury show territory to find either dad, and would be one of the series paternity test marathons some female parents of the children on his show require.

Were the solar panel and fishtank cases new? I wish we could have more cases like this than the same old desperate women showering losers with money, baby mamma drama, hair hysteria and physical altercations.

Anyway, Silly Solar Panel Man, Mr. Destructo, lays waste to the entire property to install the panels. Not only did he butcher the trees, he managed to wreck the sprinkler system and apparently damaged a deck as well. I wonder if his employers watched this? I guess he was proud of his work, since he never wiped the grin off his face. The HOA was not impressed and fined plaintiffs for his mess.

Then we saw plaintiff, Simon Palafox III - such a grandiose name for a lower-level fishtank store worker whose employers threw him under the bus by sending him here when he knew nothing about the case, suing def who they ripped off by sending him a beaten-up (custom-made) fishtank for nearly 4K.  Simon just doesn't know when to STFU and kept making himself look progressively more foolish. "Yes, the tank was custom... everything we sell is on the floor and in stock... it was in stock but we made def wait a month for it... oh...wait." Mr. Palafox III should have quit while he was ahead, the big doofus.

Yes, the first episode this week was new, just like next week.    The fish tank, and solar panels were new cases too.    I'm wondering if we'll get two new ones every night starting during rating sweeps month in November?   Probably will start the beginning of the week, which is actually 29 October.

The solar panel guy is such a big jerk, and from what he said at the beginning of the case wants to go out on his own, and I doubt he'll make it very long with that since he's now shown on national TV that he's a total idiot.   I'm sure there isn't an HOA that will let him work in their property.

Did you see the look on JJ, and Byrd's faces when the SSMOT said she only took the batteries out of the smoke detector, but didn't disable it?

Cos apparently SSMOT doesn't know about 9 volt batteries, only us old farts that used to have transistor radios - and of course taking said Old Fart 9 Volt Battery to Walgreen's or the 7-11 to match it for a replacement is too much for her to bear **fans self dramatically while smoking UNDER the dead ass smoke detector********

The plaintiffs in Solar Panel DAD (Dumb A$$ Dude) are lucky the city didn't show up and fine their butts for chopping up that tree in such an unfortunate manner. Code Enforcement will getcha here for not using an arborist to determine how to properly trim a tree and fines can run around $1500. Somebody hatracked my co-worker's tree several years ago and that's exactly what happened to her.

I knit while JJ is on, so I listen more than I watch. I'm sure the names were spelled differently, but all I heard in the 20-year-old Lexus case was Shrek vs. Mullet. Both litigants seemed rather unfortunate, so I guess they fit their names. And that was about the most exciting part of the case.

Fish tank store employee definitely got thrown under the bus. I know the attorneys I work with love it when businesses send a representative to testify at a deposition who has absolutely no knowledge of whatever the case is about (usual personal injury). I actually do love it because then I get to go home early. :D

We had to throw away a smoke detector because the battery died and kept beeping for days and days and we COULD NOT find a way to get the back off to replace the battery.  There were no instructions, using a screwdriver did nothing, trying to unscrew the back did nothing.  We put it out on the screened-in porch and listened to it chirp for weeks before it finally died.

4:30? Gee, you eat late. I'm already done and on my second glass of wine by then.

Re: Sainted Single Mothers - I never forgot the time some airheaded bimbo didn't pay rent or work and/or was working the system or whatever and trotted out "I'm a single mother" as an all-purpose excuse and JJ replied, "So? That was your choice. It doesn't make you the Madonna." Yep, I'm pretty sure none of them had an immaculate conception.

I rarely handle civil litigation in court (for that matter, I rarely work outside of my home anymore,  period, except to attend a partners' meeting once each month) but on one of the rare occasions when I do pinch-hit for someone or second-chair a civil case, we are thrilled when they send us a sacrificial lamb in the form of an underling with no direct knowledge of the case that is being tried.

By the way, Augmented Fourth,  does it offend you when someone mistakenly addresses you as "diminished fifth"?  You probably hear that all the time.

Had that happen.  Was given a new smoke detector when we had to replace the last one.  Brand new, lifetime battery, never needs replaced, etc.  About six weeks later it started beeping and we realized that the battery was sealed inside the detector and the only way to get to it would be to break it.  We put it out in the garage, but people walking by kept hearing it and coming to the door to inform us we had an alarm going off and should check things out.  I think we finally killed it by submerging it in a 5 gallon bucket of water.

I had a smoke detector that kept going off randomly and finally my daughter drove 30 min at midnight to tear it out of the ceiling because my dog would howl whenever she heard it beep. Two days later we had a replacement from Amazon that just popped in the slot with a hookup like plugging a landline into the wall. Took about 30 sec to hook up which included daughter getting the ladder out of the garage.  SSM was just a lazy a$$ not to fix it.

Augmented Fourth, you are correct - Shrek Vs Mullet. I thought "No way, somebody just made up those names". The plaintiff looked rather Shrek-ly to me as well.

Our Romeo&Juliet for the modern age. Shreck, with his disproportionately large head and major dental challenges, buys a 19-year-old beater Lexus from some guy in a parking lot. Well, no - he didn't register it in his name or insure it because he didn't have time, what with the months it took him to move into his new residence and all. And maybe he was working on building up to getting insurance? Oh, he also couldn't afford to do it, or something. His former Juliet, Mullet, takes the heap and sells it, after the big love affair goes south. So? Shrek operates this way and he deserves what he gets. Go buy another hoopty, Shreck.

Woman suing for return of pre-paid rent: Okay, I cannot for the life of me understand a grown woman who would move into a house to live with a man she'd never met before. Is he a serial killer, a rapist, a freak who will barge into her bedroom at night and tie her up? She doesn't know and apparently doesn't care. HE pretends he thinks that renting a room out in his rented house is okay, since he doesn't understand (or pretends not to understand) that doing so is subletting which is specifically prohibited in his lease - "Oh, is that called "subletting? Gee, I didn't know that!" *shrug* He has 3 months rent paid in advance when he decides he doesn't like plaintiff's "attitude" or her tone (she doesn't grovel sufficiently when her friend leaves the door unlocked) so gives her notice to leave and thinks he can still keep all that prepaid rent. He's a 45-year old man who doesn't, or can't, have a bank account so he deals in cash only. Whenever I hear that, I think the person has to be ducking child support payments or some other debts to creditors he's stiffed.

Some of them are sealed and there's nothing you can do.  We had one that you actually twisted the entire alarm and it popped open.  I didn't like that one.

We have a combo smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector.  We have this odd box that hangs in our hallway.  We couldn't figure out what it was.  Turns out it's a 70's smoke detector - it's rectangle shaped with fake wood accents.  We were going to get rid of it, but we were told by several people that they last forever, and to just leave it alone.  We have just supplemented it, just in case.

Case #2 is a classic catfish and I'm astounded that people still fall for it.  She should have known as soon as she heard Nigeria.  The defendant is a shifty creep for expecting her ex-friend to chase some dude she never met to get $700 from him.

Smoke and /or carbon monoxide detectors need to be replaced at least every 10 years.  It's risking your life to keep an outdated one around.  ANy remodeling, or new build requires hardwired smoke detectors too, and most are either 10 year battery (not really 10 years in many cases) or have a battery back up, I have the hardwired kind, with an easy open touch latch to replace the battery quickly.

Back to today's show-SSMOT d. (Sainted Single Mother of Two) said she would be an escort for married men for money, she catfished some idiot into paying her rent, and says that gave him power over her.      JJ laughed when SSMOT said that.  Of course, she never paid him back.     SSMOT d. gave him her account information for the deposits, and is shocked when he still looks at her account information for balances.     Big surprise SSMOT d. is keeping the roof over her children's heads without child support, and working part-time as a bartender.     My guess the money really was part of the payment for her ginormous implants she needed for her job escorting married men for money.   P. gave her $4900+, and he gets that back.   He needed his witness to tell him he'd been scammed.   The p. still doesn't accept that she wanted his money, not for fun sexy time.

Afghanistan Catfish scam-Idiot d. sent money to the love of her life, who was in Afghanistan with the military, and was discharged in Afghanistan!!!    And she borrowed the money from her friend, to the tune of $750.      Plenty of Fish rears it's ugly head again, she met him online, never met him in person, and did video chats while he was in Minnesota, while he traveled overseas to Nigeria and Afghanistan.    The idiot defendant sent him the $750, and a few months later $2k more of her own money, or more likely some relative that she ripped off too, or some payday loan or title loan.      If anyone doesn't know, I worked for the U.S. military for many years, and they discharge you in the United States only, not in Afghanistan, or some other country.    You can't retire in a combat zone either, unless I missed something over the years.

Desperate, needy, and stupid is a bad combination.     As John Wayne said, "Life is hard, but it's even harder if you're stupid".      I can't believe her friend loaned stupid D. $750.     The catfish loser believed the scammer would pay her friend back double what she borrowed.     Does the desperate defendant have any upper teeth?   She should have spent the money at the dentist, not on some loser scam artist.  Is it a coincidence that the ad following her closeup was for a low cost dental policy?

This scam is common, and many use the picture, and identity of senior commanders who are actually in the news to scam stupid, desperate women. Not one of those men is looking for anything resembling the not too smart, not too young, desperate defendant.    D. still claims the man will pay her friend back double, and she doesn't need to pay the $750.    Friend d. gets her $750 back, and I bet the d. is still sending him money.

Rerun-D. claims she didn't hit other car, but offered to buff the dent and scrape out with a microfiber cloth.   The d.'s son looks embarrassed to be there, and like he should just have a kick me sign on his back, because I bet mommy publicly embarrasses him constantly, and the other kids remind him of that constantly..   D. lied to her insurance company that she didn't hit p. car.      The fun part is the p. got hit in her brand new Porsche Boxster, when the d. blew a stop sign driving her Tesla Model X.    The d. blew the stop sign, crossed in front of the p., circled around and hit her from the right side.   Only one of the d.'s phone numbers worked, and she never sent her insurance, or registration, or license number to the p.

That's a good lesson, someone hits you get a police report, and get everyone's information at the scene.      Plaintiff gets $1,350.

Baby Daddy's exes fight-P. sues her boy friend's ex for baby sitting the d. exes' kids.    P. was living with Spencer, the ex of d. and when d. gave up custody to the p.'s live-in loser, and p. wants to be paid for baby sitting her shack up's kids when they all lived together.   P. wanted papers to get money from an organization that I'm assuming is the state welfare office.      And the idiot plaintiff claims to be watching the children she was paid to watch as a nanny at the same time she was 'baby sitting' her shack up's kids.   I don't know any employer that hires a nanny, and has the nanny watch other kids at the same time.     I think the plaintiff was running an unlicensed daycare, and wanted to get paid by the state for watching love muffin Spencer's kids too.

Plaintiff is told to stuff it.  Good for JJ.

Just watched this. Hilarious. Ms. Raub casts her line and reels in dumbasses like the plaintiff, Michael Junior. She has two kids, no child support , works part-time in a bar yet has a lot of spare time to "live stream." I love it! She's "triggered!" She whines she'll have to become an escort for married men! I've known many, many married men who strayed, but not a one of them would pay for the privilege of getting it on with a hard-rode, 40-year old who looks like the witch in the Wizard of Oz. The big (fake) boobs wouldn't do the trick and that profile, which our sneaky camera operators kept showing, was downright scary. She manipulates fools like Jr into paying her rent, but is traumatized at giving him that power over her. Oh, stop, Ms. Raub! You're killing me. Haha! She revealed all of this for zero dollars, since stupid Jr. was awarded 4,900$. I enjoyed seeing her punished, but stupid plaintiff didn't deserve a dime. He's way too old to be such a pathetic dope.

I hope he's having better luck with his current ladyfriend, the one that had to spell it out for him that he was being taken for a boring ride.

Which brings us to Case #2, an actual example of someone who falls for those ridiculous scams. I had the same exact thought as JJ - if you're overseas with the military, don't they, um, bring you back? The poor dumb toothless defendant needed Captain Save-a-ho's ladyfriend, as she must be better at explaining how the world works than the plaintiff in that case.

I would bet money (if I had any) that Michelle Raub supports herself and her kids by doing webcam work.  Her comments about her friend being the property manager and letting her slide are also suspect.  I just wonder if this is some long con she's pulling with multiple people.

As for the Nigerian Catfish, my husband's aunt was college educated, and fell for one.  She was just so desperately lonely after her husband died.  I tried to warn her - a number of us did - but she didn't get it, and the guy had an excuse for everything.  They did tons of phone calls and stuff, so she was convinced he was the real deal.  He was supposedly an art dealer from England but he went to Nigeria to buy native art, and of course, got trapped there...….  I don't know how much money she sent him, or at what point she stopped.  She found someone local to her and is married now, and happy.

A new case, and I think a first.   A family owned dove releasing business.    Doves get released at ceremony or event, and after they finish pooping on all of the guests they return home.    D. was independent contractor, worked for p. for a while, and p. says d. stole 11 birds when she left a year ago.     P. is cousin of d., claims doves were stolen this April, and has a police report to back it up.    Don't know what the small, closed cardboard box is on the plaintiff's table.    Whole case was weird, and nobody gets anything.

Uber Driver Payback- Unemployed woman buys car, pays $2,100, and stops paying.   She wanted the car to drive for Uber, and claims the car was  a lemon, and she wants all of her money and everything else back.     JJ obviously wants to have Byrd smack the plaintiff with the Fly Swatter of Justice, but she doesn't.    JJ gives the back balance to the Defendant.

Clueless Mother Car Sale-Idiot d. sold car to p. for $1,000, still had a $400 or $500 title loan still on it, and some how the car is back in front of the p.'s house, and she has no idea how that happened, or who paid the title loan off.     Plaintiff gets $1,000 back she paid for it.   JJ basically said that the Plaintiff is too stupid to raise children, and truer words were never spoken.

Rerun-Former couple bought Shih Tzu puppy, and then broke up, and it's funny.   D. and P. look alike, except D. has funky blue dye job on her forehead area only, and Kabuki level makeup.     D. wants puppy back for $400, and gets it.   P. claims D. broke her windshield while they were both drunk and fighting, and P. was driving drunk.    D. claims she broke the windshield out of self defense, so I guess the windshield attacked her?   And D. broke P.'s phone, and I don't care.  I'm so happy P. is moving on to someone who can do their lipstick.

Car purchase-Boring.    D. has family emergency, with his brother's liver.    D. is an idiot, and was very late to JJ's court, and she's pissed.    Idiot d. bought craigslist car, and didn't pay for it.  Byrd obviously wants to beat the defendant into a bloody pulp, and I would love to buy that video.     D. only gave a $500 deposit, still owed 1100, and plaintiff gave him the title when he paid the $500.     He then registered the car in his name, and never paid anything else.     The producer had to pick the loser d. up at home, to make sure he got to court.  He has various excuses about being late, and the car is at his house now.   Plaintiff gets $1,100,  and is still stupid for giving him the title early.  Defendant has zero shame about anything he's done, and I hope the show producer tells him to find his own way home.

Oh, my. This case is so intense I had to take a break from it. Akyla Buie, looking like a fancy goldfish in a Cleopatra wig, needs JJ to hear her entire tale of woe concerning an absolute POS Ford Fiesta (I can't believe any of them are still on the road) she  bought "As is" from the defendant. So adamant is Akyla that she was "forced" to sign a contract (made me think of the Godfather: "Either your signature or your brains will be on this contract") and was so terribly done wrong that JJ lets her ramble on for a few moments. So much drama over a 2012 Fiesta and how does someone so stupid function in the world?

JJ liked plaintiff at first, because she was a good talker and had an interesting case which was a nice change from deadbeat tenants, battling baby mommas and loser guys. That love turned to hate with plaintiff's fast-talking, shifty manner, her fake grinning and lying that def. was an employee, but she paid no taxes/unemployment ins./workman's comp etc for her, because this "employee" asked her not to. I don't know if def sold these poor birds, or her cousin stole them, and I really don't want to know.

Skipped that the first time and did the same today.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the Kabuki level makeup remark.   I usually don't think of these things, but for once I did.    I'll probably see her face with that makeup, and that hair in my nightmares for the next week.

Does Uber let their drivers operate with an older Ford Fiesta?    I thought a requirement for Uber and Lyft was to have a newer car, in fact I think one of the ride sharing app companies actually has a lease or payment plan to help drivers get a newer model car.

Hubby and I had a giggle over the goldfish remark; that is one of our favorite descriptions!  And she was SO insistent that her tale in it's entirety HAD to be told!  She almost was suggesting some sort of sexual thing at the end, was she not?  I think she is so cute she always gets her way in everything. Bad way for someone to live.

I agree with the result because the plaintiff did not have evidence. However, I am totally convinced that the defendant did steal the birds, the "theft" was so conveniently occurring just after the palintiff asked for her birds back. How many burglars go after trained doves?

My niece, who was amusing my dog Abby while I watched JJ, took one look at the plaintiff and announced “her lips look like Abby’s butthole”  holding up Abby’s tail  to prove her point.

Absolutely. I just looked it up and it seems white doves can fetch 40$ or so each. Def and her cousin peddled the birds.

I had the same question. Wonder if P ever actually drove the clunker on the job as she had a long list of maintenance issues?

It was a 2012 Fiesta.  For the plaintiff, it probably WAS a newer model car than the one she had before.

It has to be a certain year or newer, and a certain mileage threshold.  Also, it can't be a 2 door car.  Uber does offer a program where you lease a car and they deduct your payments from your earnings.  A friend of mine (who has since passed away) did that for awhile, until his area because so saturated with Uber drivers that he didn't have enough earnings to cover his payment and they repoed the car.

Interesting info.  I did a quick check on how old a car can be and it looks like 2012 would work (don't know what the mileage was), and they do make 4-door Fiestas.

My neighbor (in a seniors-only community) drives for Uber, and she seems to stay pretty busy.

I'm wondering if the small claims case for the doves was a cover, and the plaintiff and her relatives (apparently the entire family works for her), stole the birds back?     I guess we'll never know.

The gofundme for the escort woman has a goal of $3k, and raised over $1k.      I hope the fool did a background check on her future dream man, and had more sense than she showed on TV, and realizes when you have little kids you need to vet future partners carefully.   As others on here who actually read things first, the GFM is from 2015, and apparently the 'love of her life' is not the Prince Charming he was supposed to be, or else he didn't want to be the meal ticket for SSMOT (sainted single mother of two) and her two kids, and I hope the two kids aren't with that woman any longer.

I looked, and that GFM was put up in 2015, so I'm wondering if that was her "I was going through a divorce" ex.  It sounds like she was working in the bar then too.
