I have a hard time believing Jill ever watched Space Jam as a kid, but maybe Derick did. I'm in the "she didn't have a clue" camp & maybe for Derick, too. It's a catchy song and she was completely sheltered from pop culture at that time. And, if you weren't one to pay attention to celebrity gossip, it wasn't really widely circulated.

And, I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with what she did. I think Michael Jackson was a horrific pedophile, but I don't change the station if one of his songs come on.

Les Mills Body Flow uses at least one of R Kelly's songs.

I change the station when an MJ song comes on, but because I don't like his music.

They've done a nice job gating off the area for Fenna.  She can look but doesn't have unfettered access to the plants.  Good for Jill for trying out a new hobby that provides healthy produce for her family.  I love seeing the boys so excited about watching the plants develop into veggies.  I'm also having nightmares of the 1 acre "garden" my parents grew every summer.   Fenna seems like a happy dog.

I’m going to give Jill a break on the song.  I listen to the radio all the time and sing my heart out in the car, but for 99% of the songs, I couldn’t tell you the song title or artist, and really only care if I want to put it on my iPod.  I had no idea who sang “I Believe I Can Fly”.  I also don’t keep up with who is being charged with what in celebrity world - too many to keep up with!

It is cute how excited Israel is about the garden. Glad he is going to public school, he is too curious and social to be stuck in home schooling.  They are growing quite a variety so I hope that translates into nutritious meals. Sam was too busy splashing to help with the garden tour.

Well, I guess it worked for JimBlob to sire a thousand kids who are dumber than he is due to the quality of their education.  At some point the Duggar grandkids or great-grandkids are going to be unable to tie their shoes or count to 10.

It's also going to be difficult for Izzy and Sam to try and have logical or interesting conversations with any of their cousins as they get older...like maybe Sam will be telling Henry how he won the fifth grade spelling bee and Henry will answer, "B-E-!  Duh!  That wasn't hard!"

This will come across as heartless but I do hope a proper education will increase the kids’ (and Jill’s) distance from the Duggars, from the cult. It is the only way to break the cycle. Millions of kids don’t have daily contact with their extended families and do just fine. SGirl has grown up with grandparents in Puerto Rico, and until 1/19, a grandpa in Maui. She talks  (talked) to them by phone and they Zoom or FaceTime. She was very close to her grandpa but understands our time on earth is finite. Israel and Sam will be fine.

People have suggested it on here as perhaps the most realistic first job for her, but I don't think she actually works there. Amy may or may not pay her for when she wears clothes from the store and posts about them.
