I read somewhere that Jill and Amy were in attendance. It hasn't been confirmed yet.

Just saw it on the Jill thread. The Sun reported it.

I think they were attending by zoom. Is this a good or bad thing that it’s taking so long? Golly...

Those are 2 of the last people I'd expect to be there.  If they were, I expect they were there to take notes to sell a story to the National Enquirer.  I don't think either of them was there to support Josh.

Maybe by Zoom for curiosity's sake.  We know JBoob wouldn't have invited either one of them.

Our resident experts tell us that this is unlikely to be a quick hearing, most likely, an hour or two.  I think the media won't release anything until it is over.

I know this has been mentioned before but I forgot. What time is the hearing?

I agree that if they were there it wasn’t to support Josh. I wonder if it could be for Jill to see her abuser face his consequences. She might find that powerful. Amy would be there to support Jill.

My thinking as well. No way would I ever believe those two were there to support him.

1:30 central time. It's been going for an hour now.

It started (or was scheduled to start) at 1:30 central time, so just over an hour ago.

The judge ordered no social media during the hearing. So anyone in attendance (via zoom or otherwise) is ordered to keep hush until the hearing is completed. If its taking a long time, either there is a delay or it could be a good sign - meaning that the prosecution is arguing firmly that Josh is indeed a flight risk and a danger.

Once over, there will be flurry of reporting I'm sure. The waiting is the worst part.

ETA - you should see the comments on other forums...people are losing their minds waiting for updates - lol.

Can the prosecutors 'call witnesses' to oppose his bail?

For more context, like character witnesses. Maybe that's why Jill and Amy are there. If they are really there.

He was going to strip clubs and banging hookers, too.  I think he’s more the type that will have sex with anything. He’s just not into that particular woman (Anna).  I doubt he ever really loved Anna. Or if he did, it was more in passing.

My brain keeps trying to make a connection between a guy who lives in a culture that keeps women in a childlike condition - sticky-sweet voice, no authority over herself, etc - and being drawn to actual children. It makes a very awful kind of sense to me. These are men who likely have trouble dealing with independent, self-actualized women.

I am not accusing any of the other Duggars; I’m thinking about known offenders like Josh and Toby Willis.

Finding out that one charge has a mandatory minimum and your comment have both managed to make me smile today about this.   JB has zero power in regards to this, absolutely none.   Being faced with that has to be inconceivable for him.  If it's unlikely he'll ever face legal justice for his part in enabling a predator I hope he at least suffers watching ever more control slip through his fingers, along with money and his precious reputation as a father and man of faith superior to all.

Would Josh be above, or below the slab?

Inside it, preferably.

In the words of Tom Petty:

Quote

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Dang it!  I have a million things to do at work today.  I need answers!

I think its worth repeating that Joy was five.  To me that speaks to perhaps his underlying neurodevelopmental differences. Perhaps he is hideously wired to be attracted to children (as is theorized to be the case with true pedophilia. My theory is that he sought out the Ashley Madison women in an attempt to suppress his horrific compulsions to abuse children. Perhaps he was trying to prove to himself that he was a man's man (albeit a "sinning" cheating despicable man's man).

Wow Jill is there!? 100% that has to be to see her brother in a prison jumpsuit. Sure he isn't being held accountable for what he did to her so many years ago but he's at least facing the consequences for SOME of his disgusting behavior. I feel like Jill has grown very self aware - prob with therapy and all - she may have discussed it with her therapist and they decided it was a good idea for her to attend as a closure type of thing (not that this is the last hearing - even if he doesn't go to trial, a sentence will eventually be read into the record).

Or paying a woman for sex was dangerous and illegal and it turned him on to be the bad boy breaking the rules his parents laid down.

Jinger isn't actually recalling anything, the media is just quoting what is in her book.

And don’t forget that at least one of his hookups accused him of violence, I.e., control. He’s f*cked in the head for sure.

OK. Here is what The Sun is reporting. I wish I hadn't read it. I feel light-headed right now. Josh knows about the dark web:

Quote

The agent said: “October 2019, the IP address was assigned to Joshua Duggar with an address in Springdale, Arkansas."

A HP desktop computer from the car lot, a MacBook laptop in an RV Josh arrived in and Josh’s cell phone were confiscated by authorities.

Though Josh did was not informed of the reason for the investigation, he asked authorities if someone downloaded child pornography on his computer.

Josh admitted he had a TOR browser on his computer, which gives him access to the dark web anonymously. The agent explained how the child pornography could be found on the dark web.

The agent then said how he asked Josh about the images of minors 5 to 10 years old, he responded: "I'd rather not answer that question."

The password of one of the programs used to obtain the images was the last four digits of Mr. Duggar's birth year, the same password was used for Josh's bank accounts, websites and more.

Josh should plead guilty. Now.

Lol so he knew he was going down -- "Though Josh did was not informed of the reason for the investigation, he asked authorities if someone downloaded child pornography on his computer."

And I didn't say it in my prior post but yes you can have testifying witnesses at a bond hearing (besides LEOs). It'd be nice if Jill was there to testify to their living arrangement -- that the TTH just has kids wandering about and no there is no way to secure Josh away from children -- his own or others -- in that setting no matter what Josh's lawyers say. Though that's a pipe dream -- if she testifies against Josh and indirectly her parents, she has to be willing to say goodbye to her parents and the majority of her siblings forever as they'll never move past that.

And damn -- pics of kids as young as 18 MONTHS!? And his friends and family confirm he's a porn addict?? And the FBI agent testified it's one of the 5 worst files he's ever reviewed. Damn. Why are we at a bond hearing?? Let him stay in prison -- he and society are both safer that way.

So this is so sickening and also stupid! I don’t do anything illegal or horrifying, online or IRL, and even I know that no one uses an easily deciphered password. Josh’s heart is missing and so is his brain.

I am literally in tears. It’s just too much. How...HOW do you remain with someone like that and keep having kids? They were his own kids ages!!? 😥

If we are all absolutely disgusted(which is really an understatement), I can't imagine what Jill is feeling or thinking watching it.

I hope ALL the Duggar siblings were on that zoom call and have heard for themselves the filth and evil that Josh had on his computer.  This isn't a God or Satan thing. He's a sick man who needs to be locked away from children.

He will never change. I honestly think his next step would have been molestation (as an adult).
