What happened to Ashley? Did she finally get tired of kissing Whitney's massive ass? I really hope she quit this freak show.

When Whitney bitched about how Buddy is also fat but doesn't get all the hate, all I could think of was Peter Griffin and his "men are not fat, only fat women are fat" logic. I agree that women are judged harder than men  but Buddy is able to put on his own shoes, ride a bike and ski.

While I think the no BS campaign is a good one (especially for young girls) I don't think Whitney is the right person to represent it.

Buddy is how many inches taller than W?  Cannot compare. Yes he's heavy but he's not 5'1.  Nor does he have a show talking about the fabulosity of his fat life

Asking why they couldn't do the intervention over a margarita and a cheese plate?  Really Whit?  Calories are killing you you moron!  Let's do an intervention for the alcoholic with a Miller Lite and Cheetos.

I don't hold out much hope for the host (or anyone else) really confronting Whitney about anything.

Just once I wish they would get a reunion host that isn't a big ole ass kisser.  I got so sick of this woman singing Whitney's praises and telling her how wonderful she is.  But then, I guess that's what she's being paid to do.  I guess I was wishing that TLC would stay on their "let's make Whitney look like a stealth bitch" program.  I don't like it when they let her set the stage for how this reunion is going to be run.  I'm almost looking forward to the "comedienne" just to see someone tell this idiot the truth about herself.

No matter how much she tried to smile through it, I know Whitney was hurting like hell inside when Buddy said he wasn't attracted to her romantically...EVER!  As much as I can't stand Whitney, I felt kind of bad for her.  But maybe now she'll discontinue all the Boo Bear crap.

I really saw fire when Whitney equated the whole intervention to fat shaming.  I'm also pissed at Will for going so light on her at the reunion after showing very tough love throughout the season.  It made me want to smack him.  >8-(

When I heard "my truth," I wanted to gag. What is that crap about?  Is 'your truth' kinda like 'your reality' - it doesn't exist?  There's truth, there's reality, you don't get to manufacture a version just for you.

And of course her truth trumps the heart doctor actually telling her that her heart is having to work way too hard to pump blood over the miles of fat on her body and the next fainting spell can be fatal.  Is Whitney all of a sudden more knowledgeable than a doctor?  For her to say all she needs is more sleep, to eat for fuel and to hydrate her body when she exercises just shows the level of denial she's in.  She actually turned what the heart specialist told her into fat shaming.   The way she bullied her parents because of their concern in that segment made me want to beat the crap out of her.

And what the hell was that film that never made it to air of her humping the ground about?  I'm sure her parents were really proud to see her rotund ass humping the ground on national television.  I mean, what the hell was she doing?  Was she just being a big nasty cow for no reason?  smdh

Her comment about the pizza app and rotating between the three apps made me think of an obesity show I watched on YouTube. (Maybe someone linked it here).  The guy in that show shared his secret when ordering pizza and other food to go, over the phone. He would ask "so how many people does that feed?" to make it sound like he was ordering for a group of people.

I watched that documentary also.  Sadly, the guy who starred in it has since died.  Someone should mail it to Whitney and let her watch it.  I'm sure she wouldn't watch it though.  She's too full of herself to admit that she has the same problem as that guy did.  Food addiction!

Whitney was extra annoying in this episode. The level of denial she's in is going to kill her. There's not much more to say than what's already been said. There is one thing though I haven't seen anyone else mention. Did Buddy seem drunk to anyone else? He was slurring his words and saying some pretty odd things. Also, I love Todd's facial expressions. He's so animated! I wish they did the whole show just showing Todd's reactions.

The show should show her eating. They must have hours of coverage that shows her buying and eating crap. She should be on that one British show where they put secret cameras to see what the people are eating. Like why don't the cameras show her loading her car with junk food??

I haven't seen the episode yet but I'm getting angry just reading all the comments.

i hope she loses her friends over this bullshit.

i read her Facebook page and of course everyone is on her side. She fabulous and everyone were all haters.

Comments along the lines of:

"We love you Whitney. Stay strong!!!!!"  Bleh

"You are beautiful. Don't listen to all the negativity!!!!" Idiots

Now I have to go work and let out all my anger to my customers and it's all her fault!

I like that new pejorative expression "health police" to cast shade on anyone that dares to bring up how her extreme obesity is affecting her health and mobility, and the fact that she is absolutely not fit, only fat.  It's a great tool to shut people down and continue ordering pizzas with 3 apps so even the pizza parlor doesn't know how much you're eating.  Hey Whitney they don't care, if anything they'd rather sell you more pizza, not less.  The Leader of the NoBS "movement" should not worry about this and always order from her favorite joint!

That really enlightened me to what a real bitch Whitney is.  She had no humility a all, she was obnoxious about her "never put Whit in a corner" bravado and she was rude to her daddy who supporting her point that when you are heavy not every health issue will be about weight.  This kind of medical bias does happen, I'll give Whit that but it doesn't make the medical community wrong on all health related obesity issues.

Her friends all these deer in headlights and WTF faces all through the show.  They should have Ray come on and he should say stuff like in the article such as he has a serious girlfriend.

The pizza stuff just shows major denial.  You weight 400lbs why do you even eat pizza at all, let alone enough times you need to circle the apps.  If you really only ate a couple of pieces (which depending on the slice size could be 1000 calories) you really wouldn't feel shame when ordering.  The reason you do is that you know you eat too much.  I am just so tired of her I eat nothing, nothing I tell you.  She wants to be able to eat anything she wants whenever she wants and that just isn't healthy.  Even my 7 year-old knows she cannot just eat pizza and candy all the time and she burns it off.  Whit is in her early 30s, her body and metabolism just will be going downhill now.

I work with someone with PCOS, she has to eat a lot of plain lunches, and treats very sporadically and while she isn't size 0 she is decently fit and maybe a size 12.  It is harder for her for sure, I would hate to have to eat so controlled but she does it for her health.  She was 100lbs heavier about 8 years ago and she says that her PCOS symptoms such as the excess hair, mood swings, etc. really lessened with weight and food management.

I am not sure I will stop watching as I never really cared if people I dislike profit from me watching them on tv.  I enjoy the snark too much to care about that.  But I am basically watching to see how much worse she will get as I don't think Whit is getting real with the health issue anytime soon.

Dear god. Thank the good Lord above that I didn't do my workout game, because I would be so sore. The only reason I didn't do it is because I have to do 14 miles tomorrow morning and after reading the comments here, I KNEW I WOULD be sore. First of all, Whitney was a fucking bitch the entire time. Completely full of herself, nasty, disrespectful, "saltier" than a bag of potato chips, defensive...I mean, what a monumentally unpleasant person. She came off far worse than she does on the show usually. I'm sure she thinks she did great, too.

Her stock response is basically "would you be saying that if I were thin?" "Would you be concerned about my heart issues if I were thin?" What a brilliant misdirection. SHE WOULDN'T FUCKING HAVE THESE ISSUES IF SHE WERE THIN. Yes, some thin people have heart issues. Whitney clings to that like a life raft so that she can avoid taking responsibility for her massive weight. I wish I'd been there, I would have let her hear some real truths.

She really is inappropriately sexual. Humping the ground and talking about how wet her ass is? Honestly, she is like a 5-year-old who has been sexually molested. I'm not saying that as a joke, because it sure is not funny. She really does act like a child who has suffered sexual abuse. It would not surprise me in the least to hear that had happened to her. And demanding to know whether anyone and everyone finds her attractive, including asking Buddy in front of his girlfriend. I remember a past ep where Whit asked Buddy, in front of Lennie, if Buddy would "marry, kill, or have sex with" her. Buddy hemmed and hawed and said he wouldn't marry or kill her, so...then Whit acted totally SHOCKED and screeched "SO YOU'D HAVE SEX WITH ME?! OH MY GAWWWD!" It was gobsmacking then and remains so today.

I do think Buddy has gained weight lately. I do think they order pizza at least twice a week every week. I do think when Whitney said "I don't smoke," she meant "as of two hours ago." I do think Will has his work cut out for him.

The cake tasting was one eating scene too many for me. Oh, there was also the disgusting family recipe tuna mess too.

On another subject,  Will showing up and clearly being just one more of Whitney's subjects (her last name should really be throne) was sad. He cannot be taken seriously anymore, even though I am sure his heart is in the right place.

However, those clips they showed of Whitney and Will working out were disturbing.  There is no need for such drastic and grueling exercises. You can achieve great results with much more controlled and yes easier moves.     I would hate for anyone contemplating exercise to think you have to work out like Whitney.  Especially with such a massive amount of weight to lose, she is taxing her heart and its dangerous.  Taking a really good walk would be more beneficial than those stairs too.

Not to mention, Buddy actually seems concerned that his weight is starting to affect his health--unless Whitney, who tries to play off like, other than her back, her health issues aren't weight-related.  Yes, you fainted from exhaustion.  Yes, mean cardiologist only told you to lose weight because they were too lazy to dig for the real reason you fainted.  Yes, everyone is mean to you and judges you for eating a carrot.

I assume that video was taken after they'd been working out together for many months, because you're right, it was advanced stuff. It is remarkable how much better she looked then, even though she claims she was so miserable and starving herself (ie skipping second dessert). I would definitely have a client build to that over time, but right off the bat, and at Whitney's current weight, we'd be doing a lot of stationary bike and light free weights.

I have nothing but compassion for those struggling with weight, with addiction or with living life in pain. My mother in law needs help putting on her shoes or getting into a chair and I have nothing but compassion for her. I think Whitney does attempt to do many things and she is as mobile as she can be. And it it not always a given that fat people will lose weight nor it is a given that fat causes every disease. Much of fat hatred is directed at how a person looks not concern over their health. Of course she could do much better, none of us are perfect.

Typical addictive behavior - the three pizza apps.   She basically admitted she orders a lot pizza. Because, if that was not the case, she would not have to cycle through the apps to prevent any one place from knowing how many she orders, right?  Addicts hide their use of the substance so that no one can see how much they use. She is a textbook case.

The first step to any recovery is realizing that your addiction has made your life unmanageable. Buddy is very much aware of how his weight is affecting his life. And I think Buddy and  Tal understand more than the others  Whitney's denial. Frankly,  I think Buddy would like to say a lot more but he's avoiding the confrontation and he knows it's pointless.

Yeah, even if they are real, so what? Seriously. Every single television personality gets tweets like that. While I don't think they are at all appropriate, they are part of the job of modern "celebrity." No matter how great you are, someone will not like you, and that someone probably has Twitter or Facebook and knows how to use them. Whitney, being an awful person, probably gets more than her fair share, but for someone who claims to be so confident and not care what people think, she sure has a thin skin.

I don't think anyone on earth has a thick enough skin to not care about people wanting you dead. I didn't say Whitney was the only celeb who got death threats, I think it's awful to get threats over how you look and it doesn't matter to me if everyone does it.

This was basically a recap of the season episode by episode & how great Whit is. I can't wait to hear what Karen has to say except I'm sure it will be scripted too.  Like how everyone looks shocked when she talks about Whit's waddling.  They never noticed this before? At least Karen throws out the "am I watching the same show?" line.

Will they even mention how inappropriate it was her lying down on the floor on her first day of work at the radio station & having Roy massage her butt?  How will they handle the dance competition since we all know it was fake?  I'm sure the bunching at the ankles tan leggings won't get a mention.

I too would have liked an explanation of what Whit was doing humping in the snow & what purpose did it serve?

The only real parts of the show was when Whit realized she isn't a love interest for Buddy & never was  & when Heather said she didn't think Lennie was right for her.

She LOVES the attention. Nobody else can convince me that she doesn't, because Whitney herself has so effectively convinced me that she does. Being able to cry on national TV and make people feel sorry for her is part of her gig.

Totally disingenuous.  These are the same people who threw her a funeral (aka an intervention) to get her to face how her weight was going to kill her and now they're acting like she has no physical problems due to her weight?

I understand it's hard to confront someone about their weight, but this is ridiculous.

I certainly believe they're real - look at what happened to SNL's Leslie Jones a couple of weeks ago and some of the horrific things tweeted at her.    Twitter harbors a pretty big cesspool of users.

I may have yelled at her for most of the episode.  I was honestly shocked though when Buddy said he now realizes the weight is having an effect on his health.   She will make every attempt possible to sabotage his weight loss, I bet.

One more comment about last night' episode and I will shut up for a while. She stated she quit smoking. If she is not lying, that explains the weight gain.

As I stated in an earlier post, I am from an alcoholic family. Although I knew enough to stay away from alcohol, that did not mean I did not have addictive behavior. My original addiction was food, and I used cigarettes for years to manage my food addiction. When I quit smoking for the third and, I hope, the final time,   my weight went up to 215 pounds and I'm 5 foot five.  And I was miserable. My knees were destroyed, I could hardly tie my own shoes.  In the last two years,I have finally gotten a handle on my food addiction. And I have done that by logging in my food for the day the first thing in the morning. The very thing that Will has told her to do. I have lost 30 pounds in the last year and a half. And I am 66 years old.

I was very disappointed in Will last night because he is now enabling as well.

And all of my comments about her, Buddy, Will and the others is based upon what TLC showing us. That may not be reality at all.

I almost fell off the sofa last night when Twit told her enablers, "It's a good thing I don't hold a grudge", while giving them the death stare.  Really?  I'm sure that will come as news to Caitie.  Hey girl - feel free to head up another class if Twit doesn't show up.  It's okay - she doesn't hold grudges.

Twit doesn't wear shoes for 2 reasons.  First of all, her feet are too fat for shoes to be comfortable.  She's got quite the fat buildup across the top of her feet that most shoemakers don't account for.  Second of all, she would need someone to put her shoes on and off for her, as she probably really does  have problems reaching her feet by now.  Which means that someone else has to cut her toe nails (no wonder she has such great pedicures - that's who cuts her toe nails).

My disappointment in Will is vast.  He has succumbed to the pull of the TLC paycheck as well, it seems.  So sad.  It seems that Twit has no one in her life (except maybe her dad) that is willing to face her wrath and help her to become healthier.  And maybe happier.  Everyone else seems happy to sell Twit into an early grave for the sake of the TLC money.

I searched - I don't think they are related. Nothing against Shaun Robinson, but I would have loved to see my girl Nancy Grace be the moderator for THIS disaster. Or someone like that - a tough broad.

A quick anecdote about Ms. Grace you might like...We have a vacation house on a rather obscure island. We usually spend most of the summer there. Two weeks ago I took my daughter out for ice cream late at night. It was crowded and a family of 4 had to squeeze onto a small couch with us. Packed like sardines, we had no choice but to make conversation. The younger woman (the older one seemed to be her mother) took a shine to my DD. She picked on her, talked to her, and played with her. We chatted for about 45 minutes, mostly about our kids and the beach. When my DD spilled her ice cream all over the floor, the woman jumped up and got down on her hands and knees as she cleaned up the mess (before I could even get to it). It wasn't until much later that night that I realized the woman had been Nancy Grace. She's been going to that island since she was a little girl. I took a peek at her FB page that next morning and, sure enough, she was posting pictures of her and her family on the island. Small world, ha ha.

Back on topic...This (episode? special?) had me seething at times. I don't know who made me angrier-the enablers who looked too terrified to speak or Whitney herself. She came ONTO that show with her back up, ready for a fight. She was rude to the host, disrespectful to her friends and family, rattled off such nonsense that at times I hoped the Ashton Kutcher would pop out and tell us we've all been Punk'd. The only good thing I can say is that Girlfriend's makeup looked good.

While I certainly believe that she gets awful messages and posts directed at her on social media (I am fairly well-known in what I do and even at my small celebrity status, I get mean shit every day myself) but I don't believe those she read aloud were real. I think they were paraphrased examples of ones she's received in the past. I also stand by my statement that people dislike her and call her out NOT because she is overweight but because of her terrible attitude. That's why I do it anyway...

Now, apparently, nobody can say anything to her that she takes as critical or even look at her cross-eyed without her crying "body shaming/fat shaming." "You need to lose weight because your heart is working too hard." (You wouldn't say that to a skinny person! You're just stereotyping me because I'm fat!) Her logic is completely screwed up in many areas. I mean, Buddy presented a perfectly rational, and logical, explanation of why he didn't think Lennie was appropriate for her. He finished it with, "I don't think he is into you." She immediately read and took that as, "So you think he's into someone else?" No, Whitney, not what he said or meant. Lennie can NOT be into you without liking someone else.

I am looking forward to the comedienne. I am not actually into comedy that much (not intentional comedy anyway) and I didn't think she was that funny but I am looking forward to someone being real with the Whit.

Whitney is a reward food addict in complete denial. She is mean to the people who try to help her. She manipulates them to make them feel guilty, and like they are being unkind to poor her. She only does what she feels like doing and she resists with all her might doing anything that may actually have an impact on her addiction - like recording her food intake, or measuring her portions.  The excess weight she is carrying  is damaging to her bones and her circulatory system, regardless of anything else it may or may not be doing to her internally.  That's not up for debate; that's physics.  She is surrounded by resources of every kind to address the root causes of her physical deterioration and she refuses to do it.

Whitney only attempts to do things on her own terms. When it turns out she can't make it work, she cries, yells at other people and eventually re-writes the memory to make it all about how well she handled it. See, for example, her response to the clip about her falling over while on skis. It was the fault of the boots, the producers, and the camera operator, but hey, in the end it just showed how flexible she was, being a dancer and all! Someone less flexible would have been seriously hurt! And pardon the snark, but as a general rule, people who live in urban areas are more mobile with shoes on than they are barefoot.

Her appearance, to me, is completely beside the point. AFAIC, Whitney could be an identical twin to Giselle Bundchen and I would still find her a nasty piece of work. That would be for the way she treats her parents, the way she bullies her friends, the way she shows no compassion or understanding for them at any point in her fabulous journey, the persistent childish vulgarity, the lying, and  the hypocrisy of her claimed advocacy against fat shaming, when she freely dishes out appearance shaming with no hesitation when it suits her. Not to mention her adamant unwillingness to accept any responsibility for her addictive behavior.

Can I hear an amen!!

I do think Whitney gets some horrible comments on social media.  Those tweets probably were real.  She really, really needs to stop seeking them out though (which I believe Buddy said during the program).  It feels like she's using them to validate this narrative she's created in her head, where anyone who criticizes her in any way gets lumped in with the obvious trolls, which is not the case at all.  Plenty of people make valid, reasonable points that she writes off because she only hears what she wants to hear.

I don't think she deserves to be "shamed" or mocked or ridiculed.  Nobody does.  But she also shouldn't claim things that are obviously untrue about her health.  If she at least owned up to the fact that yes, her weight causes issues but she just doesn't want to change...well, I wouldn't like it, but I could at least respect her for being honest.  Instead we get displays like this reunion show where she obviously can't take even the smallest bit of "criticism," advice or even just a simple difference of opinion without getting defensive.

Whew! Thank you for sharing this anecdote, @mamadrama! I must admit I was a little worried aboutbwhat might have happened, as Nancy can certainly be described as "abrasive" on her show. But that's what I love about her! I have such trouble being assertive in real life, I love to watch her REALLY take no BS. I always think of Nancy talking about how she remembers the faces of the victims of crime and their loved ones. That's what she said has been a huge motivation for her to work as a prosecutor and now on TV. I think of her comments when I see the shattered victims on the news and true crime shows. I have heard that there is a tender side to her, and I am so glad you experienced it! Thanks again.

That is why I'd love to see Nancy (or someone like her) verbally tussle with Whitney. She has nothing to gain or lose, she has no agenda, she has been up against the most vile predators in the world - someone like Whitney would be shut down in the first round by Nancy. But it would have to be arranged that Whitney couldn't get up and leave, as she does when she is bested. Maybe she could actually get through to Whitney. Like a bossy older sister or something.

While she may not need to be shamed because she is fat, on the flip side, she's not doing any of those overweight young girls she was crying over last night any favors by being the Joan Of Arc of morbid obesity.  You really want to help those girls, Whit? Show them how being morbidly obese can and does affect your health and shorten your lifespan. THEN show them how you can lose weight through proper eating and exercise.  THAT would be helping them.  But giving them an excuse to continue on in their morbid obesity is doing them no favors, and you are not their patron saint.

I was just going to post what you just did.   I think its a very serious THREAT if we are talking about that at the moment that Whitney in EVERYTHING she is currently doing and saying might be influencing young girls and women into thinking its OK to be morbidly obese.  That is a deadly threat.

While I do not endorse sending her nasty or threatening messages, I am NOT AT ALL ok with her deadly messages to impressionable people or people who are dim witted enough to believe her.   Her deadly message is no different than someone who is severely underweight promoting that.

She had the nerve to call herself an athlete at one point last night !     What the hell kind of lie/message is that?  She is stuck on ski's because she is extremely fat, she is screaming and yelling orders and she turns it into an Wide World of Sports moment.     Sorry, but its her show, she went along with the title of said show and is seemingly loving it.     People are going to comment.

There is no way she is getting married. To whom?! She does look a bit smaller, though. I wonder when they filmed the reunion.

Girlfriend is cinched for the gods in that photo, as my best friend RuPaul might say ;)

If she can't put shoes on, how in the world does she reach her feet to get her pants on over them I wonder?

Lie on back with legs up, and put pants on that way. (DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any other humorous snarky comments that may come from this, though I wish I could be LOL.)

She's going to announce that she really weighs 105 pounds and that she's been wearing a fat suit to prove that we're all just haters.

That thought has occurred to me once or twice, too, that maybe that's what the show was going to be about. I wish that really was the case.

BTW and FWIW, I thought Whitney looked pretty last night. Hair, makeup, dress. It's like a different girl than the one we see when she does nothing and wears those 7th grade glasses. Reminds me of myself - I look like shit if I do nothing, but if I put the effort in, big difference. Well, maybe not big difference, but there is a difference. lol. Looking nice just takes a little time and effort at any size. Maybe they did her hair and makeup for reunion ?

I think Whitney needs to get out of the mind frame of "no one would say/do these things if a thin person did it, so I don't think they should say/do it when I do it". It's like an alcoholic complaining how all of their friends can have a cocktail, so no one should care when they have one...or 10. Whitney being super morbidly obese, having heart problems, and borderline diabetic is in a much different position than most people her age. And, she needs to learn that it won't matter how much criticism thin people do or don't get when she's diabetic with limited mobility in her 60s. Her parents have aged badly (IMO), so it doesn't bode well for how she will fare in her older age.

I really don't get the strange dynamic I'm seeing in this group. It's like...Whitney rules over all of them, and they all fall into place, like neat little minions.

You are 100% correct. What you are seeing is the dynamic of a narcissist surrounded by her enablers/minions/"flying monkeys." You'll see it with every narcissist. The Flying Monkeys are so called because, like the (hugely narcissistic) Wicked Witch of the West, Whitney has servants who will bring her whatever she wants even when it's going to kill her They're always there. Elvis had them, Michael Jackson has them, the narc you know in the office has them, and Whitney has them, too.

The Flying Monkeys put up with this because narcissistic rage is unlike any other. The narc WILL punish you and discard you if you cross him/her or dare to disobey.

If nothing else, shows like this do end up being very educational after all - just not in the way they were originally intended to do.

She not only plays the haters card regularly, now she is playing the woman card too, cause the haters don't hate on Buddy and he's just as fat as she is. She's being treated unfairly because she's a woman! For the record, I am a woman. Yes, I do think woman can be judged more harshly on their appearance than men, but give me a break. I'll say it, Buddy is fat and unhealthy--it often sounds like he is having difficulty breathing. But maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have people hating on him on social media because he is not the star of the show!

Or maybe because Buddy doesn't seem to be a raving narcissist who abuses everyone around him. And yes, I, too, look forward to seeing Whitney on My Big Fat Fabulous 600-Pound Life, with Lennie being paid triple time to take care of her - at least, on camera.

Women do get criticized more, but they also get more love and support. I don't think for a second that TLC would have offered to make a tv show based on a fat man dancing on youtube. Whitney probably wouldn't have so many people calling her inspiring and beautiful if she were a man. If the show were about Buddy and he made fun of how Whitney looked in a bathing suit or pointed out how she is also fat as hell, he would be called out on social media for being a hateful hypocrite who dares to shame a woman for her appearance. When Whitney does these things, all the people around her agree and lament about how hard women have it.
