Guess Brazil won the only gold medal they really really wanted. One hell of a penalty series from both sides, don't see that very often(saw a godawful one from the German national team during EURO 2016)

Yeah, my SIL was texting her sister - who still lives in Brazil - and she said they were going nuts, and that Brazil really needed that win emotionally & for self-esteem.

Thrilled for the Brazilian men, and I think the women did their country proud, too.

Football gold was a nice present for Brazil after Zika and the other problems before the opening of the Olympics. The competition was a higher priority for Brazil too compared to Germany who wouldn't even send their top young stars.

It was nice that NBC showed their medal ceremony. 

I loved hearing the crowd get into it
