formerlyfreedom July 28, 2016 Share July 28, 2016 Lillian and Beatrice try to write a hit song with help from a Kanye-esque songwriter named Joplin; Peepers struggles with newly-discovered carnal desires. Link to comment
teddysmom August 4, 2016 Share August 4, 2016 The Kanye/Scott Joplin stuff was some of the funniest this season. Loved the Kim references. Mayor Cutie!!!! Quite the little scene stealer. 1 Link to comment

thuganomics85 August 5, 2016 Share August 5, 2016 Damn, that was some crazy, if dark at times shit! Mayor Cutie becomes famous, makes Lillian jealous, they brawl, and Lillian kills the poor thing (the show wisely did put a "the real dog is still alive!" card at the end.) Goldberg and Blanche marry, but Goldberg is too disgusted by her pregnancy, so he covers her with a sheet for sex, while staring at poor Flobelle. And then Peepers learns about masturbation! And starts jerking it in front of poor Garfield. This show is so insane! I'm usually not wild about Cedric the Entertainer, but I was cracking up over Joplin's reactions to the sister's "singing." teddysmom August 5, 2016 Share August 5, 2016 Quote put a "the real dog is still alive! Agree. I don't know if all viewers know that Cutie is Natasha's dog. She takes her everywhere. 1 Link to comment
iMonrey August 5, 2016 Share August 5, 2016 Yeah yeah - I know it was just a joke and that the real Mayor Cutie is alive and well but still . . . I did not find that scene funny. I'm too much of an animal lover to find killing a dog amusing in any context, even in the broadest of comedies like this one, and even when it's painfully obvious she's smashing a stuffed animal against the wall. Just . . . not funny. Sorry. On the other hand, Peeper's latest problem was hysterical, and the prostitutes really cracked me up. Who played the madam? I know I've seen her somewhere before but can't place her. Quote And starts jerking it in front of poor Garfield. He was turned on by the butter churning. LOL. 2 Link to comment

She's hilarious in just about everything I've seen her in. I liked the episode, but it was a bit too scattered. Funny as it was to see Peepers like that, the fantasy of the butter smeared all over the woman (Brenda?) was just gross to watch. Poor Blanche. Wish she had gotten married off to the prince. And poor Flobelle, having to witness that bizarre sexual event. I forgot that we met Dr. Goldberg when he was molesting Albert's comatose form. Edited August 5, 2016 by Amethyst Albert not Alfred! kieyra August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 I know this show prides itself on having zero boundaries, but I do hate the doggie stuff. Have we seen Dodo at all this season? I keep hoping she'll show up since she's still in the credits. That actress was one of my favorite parts of S1. The laudanum addiction/Peepers stuff, but also little moments like when she shoots the eagle and yells "Hah! Majestic no more!" (I suppose this just shows that I care about dogs more than birds.) 1 Link to comment
iMonrey August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 Dodo was in the first episode of the season and that's it. Paget Brewster was on the Fox series Grandfathered which debuted last fall and was cancelled this spring. I'm guessing the shooting schedule for Grandfathered conflicted with whenever this season of Another Period was shot. Link to comment
